Rendering Movie Fails--Mysteriously Stops

I have a list of scrolling names over an animated background (Rockin font with a Matte object background). It is approx. 20 to 30 seconds in length (1-2k worth of frames to render). I want to render this as a movie unto itself. When I Render Movie, at some point near half it stops rendering. Just stops and the file is not created.
Any idea why it does this and what the solution is? Any help is appreciated!

Do you get the same error while playing back the timeline ? If so and if it is at roughly the same timecode then probably the source video file (or the rendered video) is corrupt. If not, you might be using a disk drive for export that is almost full.

Rendered movie is wrong

I have created a title sequence in LT 2.1.4. I created a .m4v slideshow video from iPhoto and placed this movie in the LT timeline around 5 seconds (it's the "display" iPhoto slideshow export size -- it's very large). The entire movie is a little under 4 minutes long.
When I place start/end points at about 0 and 30 seconds and File->Render Preview, the output is fine -- all the title sequences are there and the background movie renders properly. Woo hoo!
But when I File->Render Movie and watch the resulting .mov, the output is just plain wrong. The motion just stops periodically (i.e., there are many repeated frames -- for 2-10 seconds at a time), there are many missing effects, etc.
I have LT 2.1.4 -- is that the latest? I can't seem to find anywhere to download updates. I'm running SL 10.6.2.
Is this a known issue? Are there any workaround?
Let me know if I can provide any further details. Many thanks for any advice that anyone can offer.

1. I checked the LT docs, and it says that MPEG-4 is supported. I don't seem to be able to attach anything to this post, so I'll just have to cite that I went to Help->LiveType User Manual, and looked at page 43 -- it says:
"LiveType can import background elements in a variety of formats:
* MPEG-2 and MPEG-4
2. I used a slightly different export option in iPhoto to export the slideshow: selecting "custom export" selected saving to a "Quicktime Movie". This produced a .mov file. So I used that as my background movie in LT. But the same behavior occurs -- the preview rendering is fine (although there is no sound -- forgot to mention that in my original post), but the actual rendering (where it produces a .mov) is just wrong.
FWIW, running the "file" command on both of the exported iPhoto files (the .m4v and the .mov) results in "ISO Media, MPEG v4 system, version 2", whereas running file on the rendered .mov from LT results in "ISO Media, Apple QuickTime movie". It makes me wonder if iPhoto really made a Quicktime movie or if it just used the same mp4 encoding and just named the file .mov instead of .m4v...
I'll keep trying.
I suspect that you are right that the Best way to do this is to slurp in the movie into FCE and import the LT titles into it in a separate track. I might end up doing that, but I'd like to give my current approach a few more tries before I give up and learn more about FCE... it should work, according to the docs, anyway...

Yeah this "fix" is bunk. The movie is downloading just fine, but the extra features is the one giving me this error code. It is NOT my firewall. If it was, then both files wouldn't download. Plus, I already have the firewall "issue" tacked down and fixed. Have had it fixed for months now. No, this is due to the "new" itunes version 11 software. The only conclusion to fix this issue is UPgrading from 11 back to 10.7 which is what I am going to do. This is completely ridiculous! Come on, Apple, get itunes working once and for all, and fire the people responsible for itunes 11, just like you did to the guy who was responsible for apple maps. Thankfully Google came back to the rescue with google maps app.

T4i Rebel error message "movie recording has stopped automatically"

I was recording my client when suddenly I got a this error message "movie recording has stopped automatically" and I could not record video anymore. I am recording on a class 10 sandisk Ultra card. 720/60, EFS18-135mm lens. Never had any problems in the past. First I get a small veterical meter on the frame and then after 5 secs the recording stops with this error message. Please tell me it is opeartor error...I have had this camera for 2 years now and never had a problem. I tried multiple cards.

Either you or the person you spoke to at Canon was confused.
What the camera requires for video purposes is a card which is "at least" Class 6 or faster. The class designation is an indicator of the cards data transfer speed. Class 6 actually means the card is capable of transfering data (either reading or writing) at "at least" 6 megabytes per second. A Class 10 card can transfer data at "at least" 10 megabytes per second.
The T4i is also compatible with "UHS-1" cards... which are significantly faster than eithe Class 6 or 10.
The reason for requiring "at least" Class 6 has to do with how fast the camera is attempting to capture and save frames of video to the card. The camera actually has an internal memory buffer which is very fast. When you start recording, the data is being saved to that buffer... and simultaneously the camera also starts taking the data from the buffer and saving it to the memory card (which is slower). If the camera is recording video only slightly faster than the card can record, then it will actually take a few minutes before the buffer is completely filled. But at that point the camera has no choice but to stop recording because it has absolutely no place to save data ... the internal buffer is full and it can't empty the buffer because the memory card can't save data as fast as new frames of video are coming in.
Faster is always better.
Memory cards do actually wear out and develop errors over time. This is normal. A good card will re-map the bad blocks so they aren't used anymore... and this is why you should do a low-level format IN CAMERA (not using the computer). Good cards also have a "memory leveling" technology to try to use all the blocks roughly an equal number amount. This extends the userful life of the card.
When replacing the card, do not skimp on quality! I cannot emphasize that point enough. Most times when someone brings up this issue... it's the card that is having problems and not the camera.
It's easy to produce forgery cards which look like a good brand but are not. Buy GOOD cards from REPUTABLE dealers. Do not shop for the cheapest website on the Internet with a questionable reputation in order to save a couple of bucks.
Lexar brand and SanDisk brand are good.
When buying memory cards, I only buy cards from Lexar and SanDisk. I also buy their highest end cards (by speed performance... not necessarily their biggest capactiy cards). I buy the cards from dealers with a solid reputation. This avoids the unpleasant error messages which always seem to happen at the worst possible time.

Thanks for the feedback - have increased the baditemlimit to 500000 items (from 80000) and resumed, failed after 10 mins and the item transferred count increased by 3000 so some progress made. The number of baditems detected remained at the 51362.
The last entries in the URL above refer to mailbox storage, which I've looked into and set to unrestricted.
Have the following settings in place:
mailbox storage quota set to unrestricted
source and target database storage limits set to unrestricted
global transport limit - increased from 75MB to 150MB
Annoyingly this mapiexecptionmaxsubmissionexceeded error doesn't shed any other light on the cause apart from the issue being on the target end. The original transfer was on SP2 UR7, I've then retried now on SP3 UR5 to see if this would
make a difference - no joy

Loop movie twice then stop

I want to play my Flash movie twice then stop at the final frame. The stop() action script does not allow a set number of loops. What action script do I use?

In the first frame declare a counting variable and assign it a value of zero if it has no value...

A movie I purchased stopped downloading and said it was a corrupt file

I was downloading a movie but it stopped and an error message came up. It said that it was a "corrupt file" and that I could try downloading it again which I have tried countless times but I keep getting the same error message.

Try following along with the article and deleting the cached downloads, then try again.

Goods movement failed

Hi Gurus
I have maintained the backflushing indicator as work center decides. So once iam doing the production confirmation goods movement is not happening, its saying goods movement failed. Can any one help me out on this issue.

What is the current status of the order? (Is it released?) Also do let me know what error message are you getting while doing manual goods issue 261?
Are this components assigned to operation whose work center has backflush checked? If yes then you wont be able to issue materials manually.
If material component is backflushed, system automatically posts the withdrawl when the operation is confirmed

Failed Application Stop Hangs Enterprise Manager

Hi guys,
I have a problem shutting these down certain java web applications, if I shut down the whole OC4J instance one of my applications always fails to stop. If i try to shut it down individually it also fails to stop. So that is one problem.
However, more frustrating is that once this has happened the enterprise manager becomes unavailable. I can get the login page but then it just hangs at a blank loading screen. This stays like this until i shut down the OC4J from the command line using opmnctl.
Thankfully other applications in other OC4J instances appear unaffected.
