Rendering MPEG 4, Composition size is 2266x240

Client Specification
Display Number: 1 Unit
Display Type: LED
Pixel Pitch: 12mm
Pixel Dimension for individual Banner: 2266x240 Square PIxels
Format: MPEG 4 Video Basic 30mb/s: 30fps
(Content is contained in one canvas swept across 360 degrees. It can be a normal content repeated several times or one single content swept across the whole 360 Degrees.)
Problem
Now when i render in MPEG 4 it give me error of ("Setting mismatch", Warning: Output file wil be resized from 2266x240(1.00 PAR) to 720x240(1.00 PAR) to meet the format constraints)
And unfortunately my client wants that in same size and format.
I have done enough RND on that in last 8 hours but failed to get that rendered. Can anyone come up with EXPERTS OPINION how can i render with client specification. I would be really thankfull to you all. After working on this project i am guess i need some serious learning
Thanks in Advance

Sir Big Thanks for the info just one thing MPEG4/H.264/MP4 all are same right, Becuase my worry is my client requested for MPEG4 so if i render a movie with H.264 format output to mp4 is it going to be ok right?
Becuase i saw one wiki link it says that its a same (MPEG4/H.264), i just want experts opinion on that.
And that long strip movie problem has been solved with AME Many thanks for that.

  • No sound in my rendered MPEG video -  Premiere Elements 8

I edited an .avi video...  deleted some scenes, added some effects and titles.  There is sound when I playback the edited video project in Premiere Elements 8.  Then I rendered the file by selecting "shared to be viewed on personal computer"  and selected MPEG file type.  When I playback the rendered MPEG file in Windows Media Player, there is no sound!  What is going on?    I am not a computer geek,  just trying to convert some old videos.......    THANKS in advance for any suggestions you may have!  gf

Thank you for the suggestion, Steve.  I didn't know what other program to use...    I downloaded VLC and then played the vido in it.   It has audio.  I still don't understand what this means.   Why won't it play on Windows Media Player?  Is there   something "WRONG" with the rendered MPEG file?   If I burn this to a DVD will I be able to playback on a DVD player??
Also....  yes it was captured over a firewire from a Sony Video8 cam that had legacy playback.  The original video was analog, recorded back in the 1980's.   I bought a more recent (90's?) Sony videocam on ebay, that had legacy playback in order to convert to .avi
Thanks for your help.    I am going to try to burn to DVD later today, and see if I can replay...

  • Mpeg-2 Frame Size Limitations?

    Can I create an Mpeg-2 frame size large then 720 x 480?

    You can but why?
In compressor 2.3 you can change the format(encoder tab ->Video Format) from NTSC to one that is HD (720p, 1080i etc...) and that will increase the frame size. But if your source isn't HD it will look like garbage if it even works correctly.

  • Rendering Freezing when composition includes audio

Ok so i'm making a short "test" movie to try out the lightsaber effect. I render it with lossless without audio and it works fine it renders and is just video.
When I try to add Audio by checking the audio ouput box the render freezes at frame 1 and when I stop it a window pops up that says that an output module has stopped working it may be missing or corrupted you may need to restart after effects. I restart after effects and the problem persists. I tried exporting the audio seperate by deleting the video layers and rendering as a .wav file. It renders in less than a second and when I listen to the file it is less than a second of nothing. Here is the log of the audio output I can't get one of the audio+video output though. By the way I am using the trial.

  • Composition size not matching footage-Please help

Hi I am really hoping someone can help me with such a basic problem. I open up After Effects CS4, then import a video clip which has dimensions of 1440x1080.  Then I drag the clip onto the new composition icon which is SUPPOSED to create a composition with the same parameters as the footage. But instead the footage is the wrong aspect ratio and appears to be squashed into a 4:3 box (or so it appears)
PLEASE Help if you can I am really aggravated
    Thank you very much

Thank you again Dave. Please forgive all the dumb questions. I'm pretty good on the photo end but admittedly lacking much knowledge about video.
Here's where I'm getting confused right now
My video was shot out of the camera at 1440x1080.  That is a 4:3 ratio
If I render it to 720x480, this would be a 3:2 ratio. Wouldn't that distort my video?
You stated that if I wanted to keep my work at 16:9 that I should render to NTSC DV Widescreen but I didn't think I was ever at 16:9.  Wouldn't that be 1920x1080?
Since I thought my video was shot in HD would rendering to DV minimize the quality?
"Nest your current comp in the new comp"   Should I make a new composition in After Effects using a different format?
"Render in a lossless codec in AE"   My clip in After Effects was actually only about one minute long. I am using that clip in a Premier Pro project that is about 15 minutes long. I saved the .aep project and then imported it to Premier without rendering it.  Then I was going to render the entire 15 minute project all at once. Should I do this differently?
Should I do as Rick stated above and create a new composition in 1920x1080?  If I do wouldn't that leave two black bars on either side?
As I'm typing this I'm realizing that my entire Premier Pro project is the actual size of the video 1440x1080 so I'm not sure how I would create a new comp there.
    Oh soooooo many questions

  • Why is the new rendered file smaller in size ?

    Hi all experts,
    I am a bit baffled.
You see, I did a 90 seconds effects in AE and the resulting file in mov rendered in 1920 x 1080 @ 25 fps yielded a file of 5 GB.
Then I bring in this file into Final Cut to be part of my sequence with the same settings of 1920 x 1080 @ 25 fps. The whole duration (including the 90 seconds clip from AE) is about 7 mins. How come this time the file is only 1GB ?
I mean why is the file which is 7 mins long incorporating a 90 secs clip of 5GB is only 1 GB in size ?
    Thanks

Todd's pointing to an FAQ reply concerning codecs.  In order to give an accurate answern, we need to know the codecs you used throughout the project, inside and outside of AE... and you really need to get a good understanding of codecs, too:

  • Rendered video's file size is HUGE!!!

Hello! I have a little problem with AE and I hope that there's something wrong with it. I had a 30 sec video which I only did some minor color correction and other small tweaks in. Before this, the file was 6 mb big, when I rendered it, it was 7.30 GB.
This is just silly. Is there anyway I can render my videos with good quality without getting these ridiculous file sizes?
At the moment I think I'm rendering .avi files.

  • Simple Composition Size (and Output) Question!

    Guys,
I have a CS4 composition which is 921 x 290 pixels and yet when I render it to an H.264 file, the resultant dimensions of the output file are 920 x 290. Oh and I'm not checking the 'stretch' or 'crop' option.
The video is going on to a website and the missing pixel is causing a problem...

Thanks. So what do I adjust the comp size to?
Surely, if I want an H.264 file that is 921 pixels wide, that's impossible, right?

  • Jpeg 2000 vs mpeg 4 frame size

Does anyone know why a 1024x768 frame size jpeg 2000 file is a different shape "size" then a mpeg 4 file of the same size? the jpeg one is a lot wider and fill up the whole screen where the mpeg 4 does not.
These are both from keynote and going into final cut express.
Any ideas would be great. Im just curious how the same frame size can look different.

No quick/easy way to explain this - as Mr. Wolsky said in his second post, it is the difference in Pixel Aspect Ratio and the way they are displayed differently on a computer and tv screen, and how content which is purposed for one (Keynote for computer display) and DV (video for a TV) uses a different pixel aspect ratio (PAR).

  • One pixel difference between rendered video and composition

I have a non-standard dimensions (767 x 454) in my composition, but the finished render becomes (766 x 454). Does video generated need to have even-numbered dimensions? If not, how can I get it use to 767?
    Thanks,

Depends on the CoDec. Most compression methods involving visual compression (MPEG etc.) are indeed based on multiples of 2, 4, 8, 16 and so on, so this is normal. Only algorithms that only use compression on the binary level do not suffer this limitation (QT Animation, PNG etc.) but even then you can find many who are locked into specific resolutions and field settings because they provide optimized routines for standard broadcast resolutions such as e.g. the Avid CoDecs do.

  • Change default composition size in After Effects cs6

I am editing several different videos tommorow for a friend, each of them need to be 640x250. They are simple edits, so I'd really hate to have to change the export settings on every clip when I render and export. Is there any way to make a default export size of 640x250 at 60fps?
    Macro Photography Equipment

No, no, no.... that isn't what Rick meant.  60 fps is a non-standard frame rate.  Almost always -- think about 99% of the time -- the frame rate you really want to use is 59.94 fps.  No kidding.
Now, if you're just farting around with AE, use any frame rate you want.  If you actually want to use your AE work for something in a different application, you need to keep such things in mind.  Frame rate is one item on a list of items you must technically meet  known as delivery specifications.
And speaking of delivery specifications, 640x250 is a very weird resolution.  Perhaps you can elaborate on what will happen with your AE work when you're done with it.

  • Edge keeps resetting composition size ( not really responsive experiment )

    Hello all,
This is more a question to the adobe edge animate team i guess rather than the community.
I recently had to do a project in adobe edge animate. I noticed the scale/responsiveness/resize is not really fitting my requirements, so i decided to tweak the resizing a bit. I wanted to achieve a fully responsive layout starting from x:0,y:0 ( top-left ), so the composition is always shown at 100% width & height.
The problem with the current animate scaling is that , it always has blank/white spaces on the sides. Even if using the BOTH option in the composition settings it always fits( scale ) the content just by one of the dimensions( the bigger fitting one ). It would be either by height or by width , but not both. The other dimension is compensated with blank space.
I made it work. Here's the demo. It's not completed and not sure if it will be because.. When the stage/composition loads, stars resizing(drag) the window. You'll notice that the stage resizes correctly and all of a sudden a smile starts appearing on anyone face, but unfortunately every time a user clicks a button ( or any action is executed ) the runtime resizes the main app again to it's original dimensions, breaking the fullscreen resize. For example , click on the black button NEXT , and you'll see the stage resized again with the edge resize logic
I'm attaching my resize logic immediately after the resizing of the edge animate( binding it to the window resize ), that's why everytime a user resizes the window the resize is correct. The aspect ratio is preserved everywhere and everything works as I wanted, but for some strange reason for me everytime an action ( timeline action/trugger ) , or even a button action/trigger, the resize logic block is executed.
So i guess my questions are:
1.Why does edge animate resize the wrappers and the composition everytime an action is executed ? Isn't this also a performance problem?
2.is there a way to stop this behaviour. I even made the composition non responsive hoping for even better result. In this case only my logic would be executed instead of two times for each resize event ( edge resize & my resize )
3.Is there any way to overload the edge resize method or any way to make this work( stop animate to resize the stage and wrappers for every action )
4.Also.. currently there is a resize initially so the stage is also resized on first view without resizing the window. but again i guess, because there are actions in my stage they are resetting the first resize aswell. I guess this one will not be a problem if the previous issue can have a workaround somehow.
    Thanks a lot..

    Hi Dalex,
    1. You need to know that Edge animate handles the responsive scaling by using css scaling the stage div element along X and Y axes by the same amount so that the aspect ratio is maintained. And that's the reason, when you apply responsive scaling value to both, Edge checks which of the attribute (height or width) fits the whole screen, and depending upon that it applies the scaling with aspect ratio maintained.
    2. By looking at the demo, I think that you want to have responsive scaling such that the game fits the whole screen along width and height. If I am thinking right, then that way, I think it will have a bad user experience if the user resize the window more in one direction, then you will loose the aspect ratio.
    3. So, what I would recommend is that you use "responsive scaling"=> "height or both", and "Center Stage"=>"horizontal or both". This way you'll have empty white space on either side but will have good user experience. Also, this way, you no longer need to use any extra code to handle responsive scaling yourself, and responsive scaling will work even after clicking buttons(as in your case).
    4. But still, if you don't like step#3, then you will have to create the whole anomation in Edge with units as "%" instead of "px". But in your case, it won't look good if user resizes browser window more in one direction.
Let me know if that helps.

  • Compressor renders mpeg-2  correctly

I'm trying to compress few videos to mpeg-2 for broadcasting but Compressor 3.5 makes them all black. I used the same settings as with older Compressor. The audio is not playing right eater. Can anyone help me a bit? I'm in a hurry here.
    Thanks
    Mikko K

Ok, i have found a way to make changes to the audio settings. First create a customized MPEG2 setting of your liking. Copy the setting to the desktop and open it with textedit. Locate the 48Khz sampling rate and have it changed to the sampling rate of your choice or in my case the audio data rate which by default is at 38400. Save the setting file and drop it back into the custom settings folder and viola. Be sure to delete the old setting file first prior to import.
    Hope this helps.
