Rendering nodes not showing up in Qadministrator

Hello, i am new to the Apple Discussion Forums. I have a question regarding my Qmaster setup.
I have a Mac Pro model 1,1 connected to two Mac Mini's (Core 2 Solo, Snow Leopard and Leopard respectively). I have installed Qmaster on all machines, and installed all updates. The Mac Mini's are fresh installs. All computers are connected through a switch with manual IP settings, and i would like to use the Mac Pro as the Qmaster controller.
When i start the service on all computers (i do a reset first), i have set the settings as described by this guide:

But in Qadministrator on the Mac Pro, when i add the Mini's with the correct IP under Preferences, they do not show up in the Service Browser. Instead it says "Not Sharing" in the status column in Qadministrator Preferences. Why can the Mac Pro not see the Mini's? I have tried every possible solution.
Does anyone have an idea about what's going on? I will be very grateful.

I finally found out (possibly the stupidest mistake ever): The version of Qmaster and Compressor on each computer must match exactly. I was aware of this, but because of some weird versioning, 3.0.3 will not automatically update to 3.5.2 (which is the latest update for 3.5.0).
Lesson learned.

One system not showing up in Qadministrator

I have my macbook pro setup as the controller
2 mac pro towers both setup as service only nodes
1 G5 as service only node
Everything was running smoothly for months.
Suddenly I can't see the G5 in the Qadministrator. It's just not on the list. Poof
The G5 is definitely still on the network. -When I access the Qadministrator from the G5, I see the other systems, but still no G5.
No settings have changed. I've tried turning it's sharing off then back on. -No help
Any ideas?
I've also lost some of my instances on 1 of the towers. Just 1 processor shows up as accessible. They're all there, but only one is active for me to grab.

Any System OS updates lately? Are you auto updating the Macs? (this could be a big issue)
Did you check the firewall settings on the mac that is not showing up? Sometimes updates will dump custom security Settings.
Sounds to me like an update could have pushed a setting that is preventing it from appearing, and not allowing you to optimize your CPU usage.

Text node not showing first line?

I'm trying to figure out some unexpected behavior with the layout of Text. If I create an example program based on the API documentation

}The resulting screen only shows "Second row", the first line is moved out of the screen above. I need to set y to 20 to show the first line.
Is that normal?

Right, Text nodes have an textOrigin, which is default set to the base line. That means that y=0 is just below the letters.
But the behavior is unexpected when simply adding a Text node and nothing is visible.

Subvi nodes not show up

Hi, I have written a subvi to obtain current at a specific voltage. But when I tried to put it in a for loop to obtain I-V curves,I found no nodes were available for wiring (voltage input, current read out et cl). It doesn't happen when I use subvi from instrument driver lib. Is there any trick to make the nodes in your own subvi visible? Thank you.

Calculation manager node not showing up in LCM

Hi Folks,
I am trying to export the Calc manager rules through LCM, I was able to do that in one of our environments, however when I try to perform
this activity in the higher environments, I am unable to find the "Calculation Manager Rules" node node in LCM.
(Shared services->Application groups->Planning-><App Name>-> Plantype-><App name>-> "Calculation Manager Rules" node is missing from here.
Could you guys let me know what do I check between both the environments (the one in which calc manager node is present and one with out) to get this working?

If you are trying to export calc manager rules, use Shared services->Calculation Manager node. If you are going against planning, it may be called just rules.

Compressor Service not showing up in Qadmin

hi everyone ... for some reason my Compressor Services are not showing up in Qadministrator. They were previously working fine, but now they aren't working ... I have the Qmaster settings as -Services only- and tick box for Compressor Share and Managed. One of my machines is set as cluster controller too.
I hit start sharing and it says that it is sharing, but then nothing comes up in Qadmin for it...
However, if I tick the boxes for Rendering service, these ones do show up...
any ideas? thanks

Nevermind, I figured it out. For some reason if you choose 'QuickTime Export Components' it won't show up in FCPX but other custom settings will. Oh well.

Not showing objects in left pane when expanding the nodes (V 1.5.1)

Hi All,
When expanding DB objects nodes (tables, procedures, packages etc), not showing objects in node.
Can anyone know why it is so and what has to be done?

If they're other users' objects, use the Other Users node.All are owned by me (not speaking about other's objects).
Do give OS/JDK/DB versions when you post, and mind v3.0 is production.OS Windows Xp

Hierarchy node Variable: F4 Help - Not showing Master data values

Hi,
We're having some problems trying to display the F4 help of a hierarchy node selection variable, to show the master data values so that it would look more complete for the users during report execution.
In the RSD1 setting for the info object, under 'Business Explorer' tab, the 'Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn' is set to 'Only Posted Values for Navigation'.
I thot that we could overwrite this setting at the Query Designer level, but it does not seem to work.
Even tho in the Query Designer, we have already specified the 'Filter Value Selection During Query Execution' to 'Values in Master Data Table', it does not seem to display the master data values.
There is no difference in the F4 values being displayed for the hier node variable, before and after the change in Query Designer.
Could anyone share some tips on other possible solutions to get a hier node selection variable's F4 help to show the master data values, without changing the RSD1 setting at the info object level please ?

We do have a similar problem and for some reason the newly added hierarchy node for 0Profit_ctr is not showing up in the variable selection screen F4 (input selection for query execution). However we can see this node when we display that hierarchy in RSA1. I did try applying the changes recommened by Jerome but unfortunately it didn't work.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

By design, the report will not show the images, will not apply imported css or javascript files and will not show framesets. Also, in the case that an image is shown there is no guarantee that that was the image that was seen when recording/playback the script.
The rendered html pages that are shown in the report only contains the structure of the html page. If an image is shown the image will be a reference to the location of the image and not a saved copy of the image as part of the report. If the website has a simple structure this can give an idea of what was different. If the website relies extensively on images, stylesheets or javascript to present the information then this report feature becomes less useful.
Few weeks ago I requested a feature request in order to be able to see in the report the page exactly as it was when recording the script and exactly as it was when the script was played back. In the way that the feature request was written it specifies the use of screen captures or saving the page as a pdf file.

ORACLE RAC - 11G 2-NODE- OEL , asmdisk listdisk not showing disk in second node

i am using vmware to install rac -2node .asmdisk listdisk not showing disk in second node.
my SCSI values are hardware : 0:0
hardware 2 = 1:1
please suggest. do i need to change the above parameter values.

Please elaborate more on this issue. Is this related to EBS? What are you trying to accomplish? Are you following any link/doc?

After Effects Rendered Color Correct Not Showing In Premiere

Hello all,
I have recently made a short film with a few effects in Premiere and After effects CS4. I have used the Dynamic Link to accomplish this. I have added color correction with Color Finesse in After effects. The problem is I some of the color correction is not showing up in Premiere once it has finished. Some of them are adjustment layers and some are not and the ones that are showing up are diverse like that as well. I have rendered the footage and rendered the premiere time line, it fixes it at first but won't build a DVD the right way then the fixes just seem to disappear when scrolling through the timeline.
Is anyone else haveing this problem?
Do you think it's something wrong that an update will fix?
Maybe a new codec?

Mylenium is correct, the LE version of Color Finesse included with CS4 is for use in After Effects only. To use Color Finesse inside of Premiere or AME you'll need to upgrade to the full PI version. You can find information on available upgrade paths at http://www.synthetic-ap.com/cfupgrade
And if anyone has the PI version and the color correction is disappearing when rendered by AME, be sure to update to the latest version of Color Finesse. Version 2.1.10 corrected an issue that would cause that symptom.

UOI does not show nodes screen in RAC installation

Oracle 9.2.0.4 on Red Hat Linux AS 2.1.
I have configured the rsh and rcp services on both nodes and configured and tested the public and private networks.
I installed the Cluster Manager first. Then I have downloaded and started the hangcheck-timer form O.S. I have configured and started the ocmstart.sh script.
But when try to install the rdbms the OUI does not show the Nodes screen.
What am I doing wrong?

Well, then just check the master data setting in Query designer--> choose 0Costcenter and check the properties > choose advanced tab> under filter value Selection during Query Execution . check for these options
1.Only Posted Values for Navigation
2.Only values in Infoprovider
3.Values in Master data table
4.Characterstic Relationship.
You need to choose the 3rd opitions as you need to read the master tables for 0costcenter.

Installer is not showing the correct Nodes in RAC

Hi Experts,
We are in the process of upgrade oracle database from 9.2.0.3 to 9.2.0.8 in RAC. While installing the 9.2.0.8 patch set it is not showing the correct database nodes, instead of it showing production database nodes, but we are doing doing it in test machine.
Test Machine hostname:
db1
db2
Prod machine hostname
prod1
prod2
it showing the prod1 and prod2 only.
please suggest us to solve this
Note:
We copy the oracle_home from prod to test for test database cloning.

Then it is highly likely your RAC cluster is not correctly configured.
Open an SR at metalink as the Cluster Verify tool does not exist for your old version.

Hierarchy node in query rows not showing values in report

I'm taking hierarchy node on rows and some plan and actual values on columns but i'm unable to get values in the report for only plan values
How did I reconcile the values whether that value is available in hierarchy or corresponding value's for plan data is available in the cube,pls give me clues

Managed Services NOT showing up in Qmaster Service Browser

This seems to be a strange one. The typical issue is people that have not set their Qmaster Preferences to Managed Services, when this happens the node does show up in the Qmaster Service Browser section of the Qadministrator but cannot be dragged into the cluster.
This is NOT my issue. What I'm seeing (or not seeing) is my node in the Qmater Service Browser if I set my node to Managed Services. If I uncheck this box it shows up just fine (of course it can't be used in the cluster), when I check Managed it disappears. I have two other nodes in this cluster that work just fine. This one worked, but disappeared when we moved it across the room (attached with a 25' Cat6 cable).
I've never seen this before. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the input!!
