Rendering of HomeHub page on Chrome

I have an oddity on the rendering of the HomeHub page on Chrome (26.0.1410.43 m, also on Version 26.0.1410.64 m).
This seems to be a Chrome bug not HomeHub. Has anyone else seen similar?
The menus are almost unreadable. The reason is that Chrome cannot load the background colour images http://192.168.1.254/images/adv_nav_top.gif or http://192.168.1.254/images/adv_nav_mid.gif when called from the HomeHub pages. They load standalone without problems, just not in their proper context.
Not too much of a worry, I can just make them out and know where most are anyway, or I can use another browser; just odd.

Really odd. OK for me on Firefox 19.0.2. Also on 20.0.

SOLVED (for me at least). It is the Avast ad-blocker that is causing the problem.
It must have decided that 'adv' in the image name indicated advert?
Put in the HomeHub as an exception.

This message also appears on some, but not all books I purchased earlier.
I've tried to restart my iPhone (5) and downloaded iBooks (and the books itself) again several times but nothing has changed. I’m also synced the iPhone via iTunes without luck.
It’s the latest version of iBooks from Appstore. The same books on iBooks for iPad and Mac working fine!

My macbook seems to be going crazy. At certain points (and for hours) I get the oh snap page on chrome, safari doesnt work, macbook wont let me create any files or for example upload music to itunes. I restored my mac so im sure its not a malware problem.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

I have the same problem. I've tried to restart my Ipad and downloaded the book again several times but nothing has changed. There aren't any reviews on the book with that problem and I've got the latest version of iBook so I don't know what else I can do to get the book which I've paid for. Does anyone have another idea what I could do? (maybe one of the above might help you, Paul)

Rendering the PDF page to Bitmap object using Acrobat SDK DrawEx() or CopyToClipboard()

I am trying to find whether each page in PDF document is color or monochrome.
For doing this I am rendering the PDF page to Bitmap object using Acrobat SDK DrawEx() or CopyToClipboard()
Once after rendering the PDF page, I am using GetPixel() to read each pixel value to decide about color or Monochrome.
Problem:
When I read the pixel to decide about the page color or monochorme, in some XP machines it is showing the PDF page as color and in some PC it is showing it as Monochrome. Color quality in both the system is kept as 32 Bit.
After this I tried copying the PDF page directly into clipboard and then take the clipboard image to decide about color and monochorme, but even this also behaves in the similar way.
Question:
Why rendering the PDF page to Bitmap object using DrawEx() or CopyToClipboard() is behaving differently in each machines.
If required I will send my sample project.

In SDK documentation, there is no methods are defined for getting the color of the page. In color spaces and color values, we can set the color for drawing operations. A method AVPageViewSetColor is used for setting the color.
But there is no methods defined for getting the color in the page. Please let me know , is there any alternative way.

page switching is now a two finger gesture but I have heard this does not work in Chrome and Firefox, they will need an update...

Pngs flicker and appear as white boxes when scrolling down page in Chrome 37.0.2062.120 m

Hello,
I have noticed that pngs flicker and appear as white boxes when scrolling down the page in Chrome 37.0.2062.120 m in windows only. Chrome on the mac is fine and this issue doesn't occur on the windows version of chrome canary. It would appear that the pngs are reloading when I scroll.
There is alot going on in this animation, I am going to sprite most of these pngs to reduce sever requests which may help, but im certain this isnt the root cause of this issue.
Has anyone come across this issue before?

So I have created a sprite for the majority of the png's that form my symbols. This has reduced the total number of sever image requests from over 70 to 5. this has worked really well and feel adobe could add a feature that creates one sprite from all the images within the library. The animation seems to run a lot faster than before and loads much quicker.
I am however still experiencing the problem mentioned above in chrome 37.0.2062.120 m.
The animation also runs slowly on the I pad and I phone which I guess is down to memory usage? The animation wasnt intended for the iphone, but it would be nice to see it run on the ipad.

BT custhelp pages crash Chrome

This is not a new problem, but one that's been annoying me for a while.
I cannot access the bt.custhelp.com pages, because Chrome immediately crashes when I try. I can open them in IE11. Anyone know what the problem is?
Separate issue, I if I try to access Keith Beddoe's help pages, I get a Bitdefender anti-malware warning, telling me the page is blocked. It is not blocking dyndns.info generally, as I can view other sites on that domain. Keith, do you know why?

Its very simple, Bitdefender visits the site first, and because their IP address is outside of the BT Central IP range, my website rejects it, and returns an error 403 (forbidden).
My site is restricted to the BT Central IP subnets.
You would have to add my site as an exception, if that is possible, so that it allows you to go directly to the site.
Just something to be aware of, as Bitdefender tracks every site you visit, it will have a good record of your browsing history.

Here's a new one for me. I have a page layout using CSS,
floats, columns and all sorts of fun, contemporary stuff.
When I preview it in Internet Explorer 7 (which I hate and
because of that it's isolated on another computer), Firefox 3 and
the Beta of Google Chrome, the page lays out PERFECTLY! I am so
happy that I contemplate doing somersaults.
However, the bane of this page is Internet Explorer 6. It
renders all but 3 thumbnail divs in the right column correctly.
I realize I'll have to send a link to the page for review,
but does anyone have any 'oh, I know that you're talking about'
sort of broad-brush answer I can try for the moment?

box-model issue. If it validates, it's not. If it does, then
we'll have to
see the code - it still could be a double margin issue (in
IE6, if you have
a float AND a margin to the same side, IE will double the
value of that

Design View not rendering content of pages

I am the webmaster and lead developer for a state university. We have developed a responsive Dreamweaver template for our mostly non-coding users (admin assistants usually are assigned web tasks for some reason). You can see our site here http://www.wwu.edu/webtech . When we bring up pages in Design View, they cannot be edited; none of the content is visible. Live view is pretty good, but it's difficult for non-coders to edit in this window. For instance, in Design view they can just select Enter after a block of text to start a new <p>; In Live View you can modify an existing paragraph as if you were in Design View, but you cannot add elements without using the Insert tool. My non code users have no idea what the Insert menu is talking about. So my questions are:
1. First - has anyone else hit situations where Design View did not work? Here is what it looks like for the site mentioned above:
2. Any idea why design view cannot handle this page? It's a standard responsive site with media queries... I've tried stripping out complexity but cannot get it to work. It is valid HTML and passes tests.
3. Am I using the wrong product? Can Muse handle Dreamweaver templates?

Dreamweaver has been a wonderful tool for non-coders for many years. We developed templates for the groups, then all they had to do was put the content into the correct areas through the power of the Dreamweaver template. That is no longer possible it seems with the more complex, responsive templates. And yes, Osgood_ , it does appear that some pages will be rendered fine in Dreamweaver. Our older templates such as represented by this site: http://www.wwu.edu/bservices IS viewable and editable in Dreamweaver Design view. Those users are quite happy. However our newest responsive Dreamweaver templated sites such as http://www.wwu.edu/webtech and http://www.wuw.edu/registrar2 are not.
What I'd really love is for an adobe engineer to sit down and look at our templates and let me know if there is anything I could do to make these templates usable in Design View.
Our other alternative is to move away from static HTML and Dreamweaver and go entirely to WordPress and Drupal. I will miss Dreamweaver when this happens! I had hoped there was a place for those who did not want the complication of a Wordpress site...

Can't open some pages in chrome/safari

Hello, there, Recently I stopped being able to open pages in safari / chrome, pages like wix.com, linkedin etc ... show me some small cubes and the page does not load thank you !

I figured it out. Most of the documents that I could not open were PDF's, so when I went to Finder, they were all there and they were all available to open.

Hindi fonts not rendering in when html pages are run except the mangal and devnagri font.
Is that a bug or a problem which i am not able to tackle.
Mozilla browser shows error in console that (font download failed or The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range.

Rendering RSS Feed page(listfeed.aspx) in IE

Hi,
In Sharepoint 2013 when i am trying to open RSS Feed page _layouts/15/listfeed.aspx from any list/Doclib or any app ribbon, the page is not rendering correctly and its for for IE versions below IE11.
I am seeing a plain text page without any branding been applied to it.
when clicked on "Subscribe to this feed" getting a page not found error.
I want to know the solution which would enable me to view the page correctly and subscribe to it.

I was able to reproduce same error what you faced. I think for RSS feed page will not have branding applied, this might be by design.
To resolve the subscribe issue, Please enable the RSS Feed in the IE by going to Internet Options as shown in the screen shot.
Once you enable RSS feed in IE, click on Subscribe to this feed. It works.

JSF tags are not rendered in error page

I have configured error page for HTTP 404 error in web.xml like this

When I deploy application and run into 404 error, page displays error message with only Back button. I don't see SingOut button. I have checked url and it follows /faces/* pattern. Still to double check, I made a change and configured servlet mapping in web.xml as

So can you please provide any suggestions...

I think my faces servlet is configured to handle URLs having /faces/* pattern. I don't have any folder named with faces but I can access all my web pages which have /faces/ in their url. All jspx pages in application are configured in task flows. So I think they have access in FacesContext. But error page is configured in only web.xml and some how it is missing access to FacesContext and not rendering JSF tags. Any help?

Rendering a blank page not working for multiple xdp's in assembler

we are trying to append different .xdp's witht he assembler service to get the resultant .pdf
Main xdp :docin.xdp
2nd .xdp : doci2n.xdp
there are multiple xdp's that would be combined together with the ddx,
the main xdp (pdf from the main .xdp) should always end with an even page, i have a blank page that fires up when the pdf ends with an odd number , when tested just the main xdp with the assembler service it works fine (it ends with even page)
but when other xdp's are sent with the main xdp in the assembler, the assembler prints the .pdf from the second .xdp on the even page (which is supposed to be blank- with the incorporated logic in the main .xdp), is there a way that the .pdf from main xdp (docin.xdp) can end with even pages and the .pdf from other .xdp(doci2n.xdp) can start on an odd page.
