Rendering Results Disappear

Hello
I need help. This is what usually happens:
I render a project (on default scratch discs). After it's finally done, when I click on anywhere in the timeline, all the rendering results disappear at once, and I get the dreadful red lines again, as if nothing has ever happen... the way I have been dealing with this is that I save the project as soon as it's rendered, without "touching the timeline", then I close the project and reopen it. But that can't be the solution... Also, when I close FCP, and re-open the program, it tells me that some FIN files are offline/missing, and most of the time the project appears with those *&$# red lines again.
I am at a loss. Does anyone else have these problems?

Thank you to both Michaels!!! Quick resonse! Sorry it took a while but I tried to render and check the results.
I have all my files on the Mac HD which is formatted MacOSextended (journaled). I don't have diskwarrior, but I ran the disc utility and also AppleJack twice. Still the same problem...
FCP 6.0.3
Sequence setting: DV NTSC 48kHz, 720x480, 29.97
The source footage format: .mov, DV 720x480, cinematized from original NTSC DVD
Why rendering: For some reason, when I import the mov and put it in sequence, it always tells me that "the clip does not match the sequence's setting or any other sequenze presets", so I say ok to match sequence settings to clip settings, and that's when all the rendering has to be done in order to watch immediate results.
Scratch disc is on my HD; user/documents/Final Cut Pro Documents/
Source footage is also on my HD; desktop/user/clips

Using previous rendering result

Hello all,
I write an effect plugin which work interactively with layer/composition viewer. Effect uses its own brush (see Paint or Distort->Liquify effects for example) and user can draw something on video with this effect.
Example:
So i rerender current frame with each user action (with each new brush stroke added). I save all strokes and can render resulting frame from "source" layer frame, but this way is a bit slow. More efficient solution is to use result of previous rendering and apply new brush stroke to it.
Is there a way to get previous rendering result for current frame in AE? (it should be saved in cache at least).

Yes, i agree. I thought about it too. But when I attempted to realize this solution first I faced with the problem of input frame resolution chaos (when AE can't calculate result realtime, it try to get result with lower resolution). Indeed, your proposal partially solves the problem.

CS6 gives me bad rendering results on Vimeo and the MacBook. Plays fine on the render PC.

After upgrading to CS6, i'm facing some pretty severe problems with rendering.
My edit machine - my windows machine - plays the clips fine, but in the moment I watch the clips on my MacBook, iPad, Vimeo, Youtube some really nasty artifacts starts to show.
I just made a clean install of Windows 7 with all the latest drivers.
The system is:
Windows 7
Geforce GTX 570
12 GB ram
Intel i7 4,1ghz
I use Magic Bullet Looks for grading.
I guess that is what's relevant!?
I'm really absolutely clueless about what is causing this. I tried to render with Media Encoder, as well as the Premiere. Same result.

I tried on 3 different macs now + iPads. I have the same artifacts and glitches as seen on the first attached image.
On my PC though, it looks fine!
So weird...
Just uploaded a quick clip, where it originally fades from black. On my screen, it fades from grey, and stutters a lot. Really a pain to watch really.

When any pdf opens and we search for a text in pdf using "Search Text", the result gets displayed in the "Results" section. But if i click on search multiple times for the same word or any other new word, the search does not return any result. In other words the result gets disappeared from the "Results" section and re-appears after a few clicks. This is easily reproducible upon multiple click on "Search" button. It has been noticed that the result count is correctly seen but no result is seen in the "Results" box when this issue occurs.
Any resolution will be appreciated.

Search results disappeare

On random occasions when I type some key words in the search bar and then hit enter I can see the results for a brief moment and then they disappear. I then have to click Search again for them to reappear. This happens in Google. Not sure if this is Google or Firefox related issue.

We've fought this too - as we have a number of non-orderable information services that we want to display at the bottom! We're not too keen on prefixing everything with white space (old habits die hard I think!) so we found an ASCII character that would move the Information services to the bottom - it is:

However! It does not migrate in CatalogDeployer, so if you intend to migrate them frequently it's not a practical process. It would be great if you could categorise them even simply!

Jerks and pops in rendered results CS6

I have the creative cloud membership and I have the latest version of Premiere installed. Over several projects I will have Jerks and pops in the results of a file rendered as Mpeg2 HDTV 23.976fps. Preview playback is smooth while editing but the output has problems. The problems are consisten after repeated rendering. I found a workaround where I will Slip the clip one frame or so in either direction. Something changes and it gets redone without the same problems, but new errors start cropping up. I end up spending hours watching the final mpg2 file, slipping, and rerendering until I finally have a smooth product. This is a BIG pain in the butt! I surely hope this problem gets solved soon.

Okay Folks,
I never got the MPEG2 Encoder to work cleanly but I switched to the H.264 encoder and it worked on the first try! I always had problems playing my H.264 files so I pulled the bitrate down to 15Mbps instead of the default 32Mbps. The quality at 15Mbps is great and My computer was able to handle playback as well.

External Hard Disk disconnected while rendering, project disappeared now with a yellow exclamation sign triangle. Is there a way to recover it?

I was working on a project located at a library in an external hard disk. The external hard disk was disconnected while FCPX was rendering. Once it was connected back there's no project in the event, I can't find it in Finder nor anywhere else and I get a yellow triangular exclamation sign icon. Has the project disappeared? Is there a way to find it? I have no backup
Recovering this is quite important for me.
I'd greatly appreciate any help or tips.

In-Memory Query execution mode rendering results but "both" as execution mode do not.

Hi,
I am facing this strange issue of fetching some rows based on my view criteria.
I delete some rows and make them as inactive. Then I search for those rows by using filter as "inactive" rows. I get the result as expected. But then, if I enter any other filed apart from inactive condition, I do not get that record even when that record is present in the list.
I looked out for the query execution mode for my VC based on which my rows are fetched. I found that if I keep the Query execution mode as "In-Memory" I am able to get the result but if I give the query execution mode as "Both", I do not get results even though the other factors are still same for it.
Due to model settings, I can't use "In-Memory" as the query execution mode.
I get the results properly after I commit my changes to DB,however.
How can I proceed here?

apparently the JDeveloper version you use does not work with "Both", which I suspect to be a bug. If you are on a latest version of JDeveloper 11g R1, JDeveloper 11g R2 or on JDeveloper 12c, please file a bug if you have access to customer support. If you are not yet on a latest version of JDeveloper, please try a newer version of your JDeveloper release.

Content search webpart query is not rendering result as per the expectation !!

I have 5 Content search web part on same page with different display templates.
1) Search Aggregated Result - This display search results for announcements,discussion and wiki as per the current user.
2) My websites - Thsi displays site links as per the current user.
3) My Tasks - This display task items as per the current user
4) Daily calendar - This display the results as per the date selection in calendar control.
For Daily calendar - I have specified calendar control in custom display template to filter search results based on date selection which is working as below:

Compressor causing renders to disappear

Mac Pro, FCP 5.1.4, DV sequence with primarily native media, plus a few HD 720 24p clips added, media on external FW 800 drive.
Every time I send my sequence to compressor, FCP comes up with a message saying my render files have gone missing, and sure enough, all rendered material goes away. I am able to setup my batch and encode, but every time I click on something in compressor, I must return to FCP to ok the missing renders dialog.
Even this is not too big a deal, however, the real inconvenience is that each time a new batch item begins, I must cliick ok on this box again for Compressor to continue. Since I am encoding a long piece to 2 mpeg2 files of different bit rates, an audio file, and an h.264 clip for the web, this means I must babysit this job very late into the night, waiting around just to click ok every couple hours.
Anyone seen this? maybe it has something to do with the external drive - I don't remember encountering this before... Spotlight?

1. Did you do an import from that drive? There's an option in import to disconnect the drive after the import. It's useful importing the card from you camera, but it might just disconnect an internal drive too if selected.
2. To get the drive back without a reboot, try this: Start, All Programs, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management. Just opening Disk Management may bring it back. If not, right mouse button on Disk Management, Rescan Disks.

When I use a mixed frequency lineGraph (ADF Faces Rich Client Component) to show a query returning two columns (timestamp and float), there is a little part of the line, at the right, that is always straight. The marker tooltip shows variable values as expected on the straight part. Is it possible that there is a rendering bug with the component? I can send a printscreen if someone wants to see what happens.

Final Cut: My rendered audio disappears every time

Hi all,
I render audio (an imported music track), then video and music are okay. However, when I save everything and continue work later, the audio has to be rendered again, each time. What can I do? I suspect a problem with recording or saving paths.

When you set the audio to high it will force the system to render anything it cannot in the low setting.
I suspect FCE was converting the odd files on the fly and not actually creating render files.
I like to edit in low and switch to high just prior to exporting or whatever. The switch to high will show up any audio problems.
Look for the colour of the render bars in the audio tracks, that will tell it all

Store the rendered result

Hello.
I'm wondering if there is a way to take the reuslting image, after the shader is done with it, and store it as a bitmap.
ave a application where I have a bunch if images(bitmaps) that I put on the scene on top of each other. Then I apply my shader on them as a blendShader. The final result is a nice blend of all the pictures. This works fine if I use 10-20 pictures. But what if I would like to blend 200 pictures, then It will be very heavy to preocess. The best would be if I could, after placed let's say 10 pictures on the stage, the store the result in a bitmap. So when I wan't to blend picture 21-40 i just place the bitmap I "created" first that cointains alll previous blends.
I guess that the shader don't alter the bitmapdata , it only affect the drawing?
So i'm basicly wondering if it's possible.

You can use shader job to have a target bitmap destination that you could cache.

You might have to do your own blending in that case though. There might be a trickier way to get the bits out of a display object, like using the BitmapData property through the IBitmapDrawable interface, but that wouldn't let you grab the data from the middle of the stack. I think you'd need to do your own blending to do what you want.

LOV Bug with rendering result?

I'm attempting to create a basic LOV using either the "ADF LOV Input" or "ADF LOV Choice List" components.
When I try to use these components with a small set of data they behave as one would expect, however I run into some odd behavior when the list behind the LOV is large and the component is required to fetch additional rows of data as the user scrolls through the options.
With the LOV Input, as I scroll through the data it is retrieved fine, however when I select a value from the bottom half of the list, the component on the page does not update with the selected value and the console in JDeveloper throws the following [truncated] stack trace:

It looks as though the View Object on the back-end is getting populated with the correct value selected from the list (I have a second, cascaded LOV built off the value selected which is populating with the correct data) however the front-end is not getting populated with the correct data.
With the second LOV component (ADF LOV Choice List) I am completely unable to scroll through the list of values; the component hangs as soon as it attempts to fetch any more data and throws the following [truncated] stack trace in the JDeveloper console:

If this is indeed a bug with the ADF components themselves attempting to lazy-load the values in the list, is there a way to force the component to simply load the entire list up-front instead of as the user scrolls? This would be an acceptable workaround for my application.
For the record, the View this page is based off runs flawlessly in the BC tester. Also, incase this helps any, the LOV is not based on any sort of Fk link / association. It is built upon accessor attributes (and bind variables and view criteria in the case of the mentioned cascading LOV).

can you provide instructions how to reproduce this based on the HR schema (e.g. Departments/Employees table). If its easier for you to create a testcase, please send it to frank. /nimphius /@ oracle.com (please remove blanks and slashes) in a zip file, where you rename the "zip "extension to "unzip"

Search Results Clear On Refinement with custom Display Template

I am working with a custom search display template. I did minor presentation changes in the template. I am showing a checkbox against each search item and there is some logic behind it.
For this I am using Item_Default Template.

With this is in place, on page load it shows initial results just fine and my checkbox logic also works fine.
However, whenever user hits a refinement value the results clear out and no longer display. I know the results are there because when I do reload of the page refined results appears but again when you click on refinement value results disappear.
With some digging on the forums I found that use "AddPostRenderCallback(ctx,function(){" instead of "ctx.OnPostRender.push", I tried this as well but it didn't help.
Whenever I remove "ctx.OnPostRender.push(function(){" code from my template, refinement panel starts working properly again. So there has to be something related to this "ctx.OnPostRender.push". I cant just
remove it because I have to write my JS logic as well for that this function is must.
Please give me some pointers.
