Rendering timeline in Premiere

HI,
I have a quite  an annoying problem in Premiere. I work on CS6 Creative Suite. I work with premiere and After Effect through Dynamic Link. Every time I try to render a sequence on the timeline of Premiere, I need to restart my computer in order to get the rendering done. Once the computer is done with the starting process, I open Premiere, render the sequence, which has dynamic links compositions from After Effect. I can modify the position of the elements on the timeline, modify the compositing on After Effect and all changes show well on premier, render a couple times and all goes well for just a little while. Eventually premiere stops rendering on the timeline or renders EXTREMELY slowly.  Once again, I have to restar the computer.
Does any one have this problem and found a solution already? I would appreciate any help!

What are you system specs and the type of media and,if any, third party effects are being used in your project?
Check your task manager to see what's up... if the programs are still loaded in RAM. And how well they're running there. Sometimes rendering from AE and Premier for me has all my resources being used, while other times nothing but Memory is being gobbled up, might be some of the 16 bit effects or other third party effects I've used... but performance definitely varies depending on project with CS6. Quiet a few things might be a problem where getting good/great performance is concerned.

Is there a fix, or is it a problem with settings in the program! Any help, greatly appreciated! Mike's Media.

    Mike,
    Welcome to the forum.
Along with the answers to Steve's questions, please tell us about your computer's I/O sub-system, i.e. your computer's HDD's, and especially where the Project, the media and the PrE Scratch Disks are stored. For instance, if everything is on C:\, or perhaps the Project, media and Scratch Disks are all on an external USB 2.0 HDD.
    Good luck,

  • Missing renderer error in Premiere CS6 plus three more errors

    I just tried to open a saved project and now get a Missing renderer error in Premiere CS6;
"This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), which is not available on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software Only will be used"
I then click OK and get a new errror:
The preset used by one or more sequneces in this project requires third party components that could not be located. These sequences will be modified to use a custom sequence setting instead ...."
I then click OK and get the error:
"Adobe Preniere Pro CS6 has stopped working"
This is the same computer thta created the project and nothing physical has cahnged. I reboot try to create a new project and get the error:
"Sorry a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premier Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project"
I cant do anything with premiere CS6 at all.
    HELP!

The first two can be solved pretty easy, but won't help much in light of the third.  We need to solve that one first.  Once you get PP to open and remain open with a new project and new sequence, then we can fix the first two.  So...

  • Audio rendering problems in Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hi
I'm rendering a very small project in Premiere Pro (just some cut and music). I tried to render it in H.264 but when I open it in windows media player there is no audio, when I copy it to my mobile phone I can't hear the audio neither. When I import the rendered file into premiere I can see the audio waveform. When I render the project in mpeg I can here the audio and when I clik the "match sequence settings" button I can hear it to (AVI) but I need H.264. What is the problem or what am I doing wrong.
    Thanks in Advance
    Michiel

Windows Media Player sucks.  That's about the best 'why' I have for that.
I don't own a smart phone, so I can't help with that one.  (I'm one of those old fashioned types who only uses a phone to make phone calls, and the proper tool for all the other activities the 'phone' has co-opted lately - like a computer for playing back computer media files. )

  • Cannot get my tape based media to the timeline in Premiere Pro CC

Cannot get my tape based media to the timeline in Premiere Pro CC, I have eqrlier in my edit, but now I get the hand dragging it with the circle and slash on it . THis will not let the media download to the timeline anymore. What happened.... DId I hit a button and/or cause it to be locked out from loading media intot he timeline. My digital basde media loads fine.

Here is more information: I use Premiere PRo CC 7 and the taped based media in the bins are from a Canon HV30 taped based catured to PP directly in a MPEG format. I have already used some edits from this media as well as my captures from digital, which isnt causing any problems. When I mark the taped based media in the source window and attempt to drag it into the timeline the hand gets a circle and slash line on it and will not let me place it into the timeline. Yet I can still load my digital stuff into the timeline and edit normally. I need some footaghe from the tapes but cannot get it into the timeline from the source monitor even after updating, shutting down and reopening. No avail still when trying to drag the hand with the circle slash still exist not allowing it into the timeline. Previous footage on the timeline works no problem. This started yesterday.

  • QuickTime Reference Movies of Fully-Rendered Timeline Taking Forever

Sometimes when I attempt to export a fully-rendered timeline as a reference QuickTime (NOT self-contained), the "Writing Audio and Video" bar takes over an hour (for an 8-minute project) and results in files sizes of many GBs. Has anyone else experienced this?
    Thanks,
    Zap

If your Sequence isn't fully rendered before you export, the reference movie will have to perform the render ... taking extra time and it includes those renders as part of the reference file (hence the larger than expected file size).
To avoid this, make sure the Sequence is fully rendered PRIOR to exporting.

  • Picturesize problem after Rendering a timeline in Premiere Pro CS4

    Hello,
I currently work with 4.1.0 and have the following problem. When I import Tif sequenze 1280x720 as film, first the film looks correct. The red line above in the timeline says that the sequence is not rendered. When I render now this timeline by pressing the Enter-key, after rendering the content looks zoomed in the preview and on an output monitor the picturesize shrink to approx. 70 %. But there is no effect on this track. This happens simply with original tif files. When I use JPEG files the problem does not exists. So I presume a problem when processing tif files. Do you know problem like this?
    Thanks for an answer

  • Need help saving a rendered video in Premiere Elements 13...

I have a rendered video that I am ready to save to my computer.  The last Premiere Elements program I had was 1.0 lol.  In 1.0, I would select to export the video as .avi and use that to burn to a dvd.  In Premiere Elements 13, "export" is grayed out.  What it looks like I need to do now is Publish the rendered video, but I don't know what to select to save it to my computer for future burning to a Blue Ray Disc.  I plan on using Nero to burn the video to BD.  Any help would be appreciated.

File Menu/Export/Movie is last seen in Premiere Elements 7. Now File Menu/Export/Title remains.
Your export opportunities for Premiere Elements 13/13.1 are in the Publish+Share area of the program. Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates? If not, consider doing so.
What are the properties of your source media on the Timeline that is destined for Nero for your burn to Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc?
Have you considered taking your Timeline directly to Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc in Premiere Elements 13/13.1 using Publish+Share/Disc/Blu-ray?
Depending on your reply to the above, you could explore for your file....
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p___
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with Presets = M2T - H.264 1920 x 1080i or p____
Please review and consider, and supply more information so that we can fine tune the reply.

  • How to reduce re-rendering clips in Premiere Elements 12

Each time I restart a Project in Premiere Elements 12 the timeline indicates that I need to re-render the clips. Is there away to avoid excess rendering? Thanks.

    don_
Your question is a long standing issue that seemed to have peaked around Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 and seems to be independent of computer operating system, scratch disk locations, and QuickTime versions among other things. And Adobe has not come out with an explanation to date as far as I have ever seen.
But, let me make sure that I am interpreting your question correctly.
Are you saying that, after you save/close a project whose Timeline had been rendered for preview purposes, the re-opened project presents with an orange line over the Timeline content with the implication that you are looking at an unrendered Timeline? If that is the case, please read on.
I will dig out the unabridged version of what I have written about this in the past. But, for now, the abridged version.
    1. Although the color indicator implies that the Timeline content is "unrendered", that is, you are not getting the best possible preview of what you are seeing in the Edit Mode monitor preview, the preview files that were originally generated are alive and well in their hard drive save location. Best guess is that the link between the preview files and the project are getting broken and are not repairable, short of rendering the Timeline content again if absolutely necessary for preview purposes.
    2. In the re-opened project, rendering again to turn the orange line to green (best possible preview) can be done for the whole of the afflicted content or selectively (just segment) by setting the WorkArea Bar gray tabs to span just the area to be rendered.
    3. My philosophy on this is to move on or re-render all or part if indicated. You have rendered the area previously and should know what that is going to look like...unless of course you make changes in the re-opened project.
This one has an unforgetable history going back several versions and apparently surfacing again in the present and still without the whys.
Please review and let us know if I have targeted you question.
    Thanks.

  • Motion rendering in Adobe premiere elements

    Hello,
I recently purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 11. I am on windows 7.
In one of my vidoes, motion is not rendered properly. For example, a talking persons lips are significantly blurred. The same video when played in Windows Media Player doesn't show this behavior. The video is AVCHD, 1080p, 30fps. I did not see a project settings preset that matches exactly those settings. So I selected AVCHD, 1080i, and 30fps (which I thought is the closest among all the presets available). And I DID NOT select the "force these settings" option. I assumed, when I add my video file, PE 11 would automatically select the right settings for that video. What might the cause for poor rendering? And how can I fix it? Thank you for the help in advance.

If your video clip is the first one on the timeline and you didn't force settings on your project, the program should set up your project automatically.
So you could be seeing a couple of things:
    1) Your Monitor panel may not be displaying the file at high-quality. You can ensure that it is by right-clicking on the Monitor panel and setting it to high-quality and making sure that you're not looking at your video at over 100% size.
    2) It could be that your file needs rendered, in which case you'll see a yellow line above your clips on the timeline in Expert view. To render your timeline, press Enter or click on the Render button. This should improve your playback.

  • Rendering issue in Premiere Pro CC

I have a problem when I'm rendering my timeline. It seems when I select render sequence in to out, the render seems to get hungup towards the end of render. What I mean is that around 98% the render goes incredible slow and sometimes never finishes. If I cancel the render nothing will have been rendered. In FCP if you cancelled the render, it would have saved what you have already rendered, so if you were at 98% in the render, 98% of the timeline would be saved. It seems a little better if I select render effects in to out. What is the difference between  render sequence in to out or render effects in to out?  When I render I use the mercury playback engine gpu acceleration and the only application I have open is premiere pro CC.
Another question, does it make any difference for export if you render the sequence first and then export? Or is it just as fast to export the sequence without it being rendered? In FCP if you rendered your sequence first the export would be really fast. Somebody told me that even if you render your sequence in Premiere Pro, when you export it will have to re-render the sequence, is that true?
    My specs: Mac Pro 2009
    Processor  2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory  32 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2048 MB
    Startup disk SSD
    Thanks
    Harry

As to the first paragraph, have you tried rendering out software-only, with the MPE turned off? For some people, they've had hangs on renders with the MPE on. Also, make sure you've got the latest drivers for your card ... and you might want to search the forum to see if there's been similar problems with that card for others. Some cards are not as nice at playing with Adobe (even though listed as 'certified') as others.
As to render before outputting, those are actually two different steps & processes ... confusing titling of the two things causes a lot of problems methinks. "Render" on the timeline within a PrPro project creates previews the program uses in the playback monitor, NOT a final-qulaity image. Not same quality et al, according to Adobe staff. Frequently posters here complain about slow renders with lousy quality and they'd rendered the entire sequence out, then checked the box on output "render" (perhaps 'encoding' would be a better term?) to use previews thinking it would speed things up.
But it didn't speed things, it just meant their output was dumbed-down to the quality of the previews.

  • How to turn on audio waveform in timeline in Premiere Pro CC

I'm not sure why I'm not getting a clear answer for this question, but can anyone help me out here? In Premiere CS6, all I had to do was press the little arrow next to my timeline and I could see the audio waveform. The arrow is no longer in CC and I can't figure out how else to turn this on. I use this feature constantly so it's quite inconvenient not to have it on.

This seems like a bug to me. My audio was doing the same thing. I imported a clip from an HD camera. Dragged it onto my sequence timeline and the audio showed as a solid blue bar.
I couldn't see my audio waveform until I took the yellow scrubber and dragged it back and forth across the whole sequence. Then the audio wave started to appear. It was very confusing because I had one other camera clip on the audio track below this one and it showed fine.
Then, it still disappears while playing, but shows while its paused...very odd.
    While playing:
    While paused:
    UPDATE:
    My fix was to
    1. Alt+Click the audio portion of the clip to select just the audio.
    2. Go to Clip>Audio Options>Audio Gain
    3. HIt ok, Premiere then rendered my audio properly....odd. BTW, this clip was captured by premiere, so rendering audio wasn't an option. But as soon as I went to the audio options, it suddenly built the waveform peaks.
