Renew activation error behind corporate firewall and proxy

Hi all,
I have come to the end of my first month for CC subscription and have been getting the following popup saying that my subscription (to CC) has expired and unable to connect to the internet.
I have followed all the step by step instructions at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html with no success.
My computer is on the corporate network and has both a local firewall and a corporate firewall and proxy. According to our IT HelpDesk, the local firewall is not the issue, and they suggested asking here in the Adobe Forums for advice on how to make this work.
I also tried clicking the Subscription Manager link in the popup, but it doesn't take me to any page where I can activate the CC applications. Is there a way to manually activate them? I will have access stopped by Monday and I need continued use of the applications.
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers, Pete

  • Issues with accessing forms applications behind a firewall & caching proxy

We have web enabled an forms application and has the following set-up at server end.
Machine no 1. Oracle Forms Server 6i with patch level 1 listening on HTTP/Port 80 on a windows NT box.
Machine no 2. Apache Webserver. listening on HTTP/Port 80
Both the machines are behind a firewall which allows only HTTP on port 80.
    At clients end we have
    1. a firewall which allows only HTTP on port 80.
    2. a caching proxy server
The client machine connects through the caching proxy server.
When the client connects the applet gets downloaded and initialised, the form server log shows the following
    -Forms Server Log-----

    Thanks Henrique.
This is not very promising but it confirms there is a potential issue
How did you manage to solve the problem, allowing the NW server/application to perform direct accesses?

  • Error message about firewall and internet sharing

hello all i have a question regarding the use of firewall and internet sharing.
I have a PMG5 connected to internet through Airport. I've linked an Xbox 360 via the built-in ethernet port in order to access Xbox Live. I had to open specific UDP ports on the OS X firewall but it now works fine. However, in the Sharing Preference Pane, Internet Tab, i still get an error message saying that my Internet Sharing is disturbed by the settings of the firewall and sharing services, it says that i did not activate "personal web sharing" in the first two tabs...but i DID ! And there's no way to get rid of this error message.
I know I know some may consider it's not a real problem because it's just an error message while the connection actually works fine but well, I tend to hate error messages when they're not supposed to show up. So if anyone know the answer, thanks in advance...
    Good day to everyone
    Vince, Paris...

sorry about the delay in replying, was kinda busy
well trashing the pref files was useless and i tried with another user, same thing. As for the second opinion, the problem was not about which port was used cause as i said the connection sharing works fine and anyway it was the correct port that was checked, it's just that i get an error message while there is no apparent error and everything works fine, i'm told that personal web sharing is not enabled but it is...
Anyway as i said, it's probably not a real matter, as long as it works...which brings me to another thing. I've created a special protocol in the firewall to enable a proper dialog with the xbox. it's basically the same thing you do for ichat AV when you have video connection problems, you track down the concerned UDP port using terminal, you allow traffic and all... The protocol for the xbox worked great for some days, but now it seems it's not enough, the game set keeps trying on another port and i constantly have to update the protocol or deactivate the firewall...and enabling back all UDP traffic is not enough to solve it.
In a way i think everything is linked, the initial error message when everything was fine and the current trouble. Any idea?
    thanks
    Vince

  • Flash behind corporate Firewall/proxy

    Hello,
I work for part of the NHS in Scotland.  we are having issues with some flash content, bbc news website being an example.  We proxy all requests, and the bbc website flash content isnt being displayed.  My network guys have checked the proxy logs, and we see a direct connection out to the internet, which fails at the firewall.
From what I read, this is normal for flash, that it doesnt use the system proxy settings.  Whats confusing us is that the proxy logs show in some cases a direct connect request which fails, followed by a request for the same content via the proxy.
I'm trying to explain to customers why we cant get certain content, and the above seems inconsistent.
Is anyone able to explain the above behaviour?  Why does some content pass via the proxy, and some fail?
    Many thanks.

  • Activation - Error:Cannot store binary and a few other NWDI questions.

    Hi all!
I'm working on the Internet Sales Application (crm/b2b) in CRM 6.0. The work i do is an upgrade from CRM 4 to CRM 6, so I'm new to NWDI.
I'm following the "ISA50DevExtGuideConcepts21.pdf" (since I haven't found a document for version 6), and have managed to add java extensions and librares successfully. I now work on the web-project and have started an activity to merge changes to stylesheets, and also added own mimes like stylesheets and images (.jpg, .gif). The files where added to the project folder (webContent in crm/isa/web/b2b) and then located and added to DTR through a refresh in NWDS. When I try to activate this activity I get the post-proccesing error in the request log below. This might have been caused by an image file renamed to .bak, although its recoginzed as an image in NWDS.
    Questions:
    1. Any idea what goes wrong? How should I solve this?
    2. Can I check out or remove the activity to correct the problem? How?
    3. I have a few Activities, already activated on the development server that I would like to get rid of. How do I do that?
    4. I have a few Activities that aren't properly named. Is it possible to change the name after activation?

I have done some more testing regarding the case with "Database Error:Cannot store binary."
Unfortunately, the behaviour doesn't seem to be consitent or related to particular files. I had a successful activation with 79 of the files in one folder, but could'n add one single file in a new activity. When i removed one of the 79 files and added another file, one of those not possible to add before, it was successful.
After this I tried to remove all 79 files again i one activity, and the add the original 79 files in another. The remove was successful while the adding was unsuccessful. All with the same error message in Request log.
Does anybody have an idea of what is happening here? I don't have a clue.

  • How to make iCal Server work both behind a firewall and externally

I've got iCal server running with a DNS record pointing to the external IP of our server and the appropriate ports open in the firewall. This is working fine. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get it recognized on the internal LAN. I tried activating DNS on the server using example.com and the actual domain name that is being used externally, but neither seemed to help get the iCal server to be recognized internally. I know there is some (probably simple) step I am missing somewhere, but I have not been able to figure it out. I've been reading the server docs and haven't been able to pinpoint what I am missing so I'm hoping someone here might be able to explain to me what the necessary steps might be.
Please try to explain this as if you're speaking to someone who is really dumb, because that's how I feel right now.
    Thanks!

So you have an external static public IP, a firewall NAT, and an internal static private IP, right?
This sounds like an IP routing issue, or a DNS issue, depending on how you want to deal with it.
Either tweak your local DNS to point to your local private IP for the iCal server directly and not to the external IP address, or configure your local IP network default gateway and IP routing to allow IP to route the external IP address request out and back in through the NAT again (which is where you're probably running off the rails here), or see if iCal will allow you go go after an internal network host name in your internal DNS with your internal private IP address, or (as a test) directly after the local iCal server by its private IP address.
A whole lot of Mac OS X Server really only works "right" if you have IP and DNS configured appropriately. (I was going to write "correctly" there, but there's usually no one "correct" configuration when dealing with IP networking.)

  • Cannot play flash behind corporate, Firewall issue?

    Hi all,
I can play flash within a website when I am at home, but when
I get to work and plug into our network, the fllash on the webiste
does not play. Does anyone have the same problem? How do I fix
    this?
We are using a Sonicwall Firewall 4060, but this should not
    stop the content from playing...right?
    Thanks

What version of Flash do you have, and what browser are you
    usin?
Because both sites you mention work perfect for me (player 10
rc, IE7 & FF3) I am going to guess that you are using Internet
    Explorer.
There is a problem that sometimes happens with the OCX
required to run the ActiveX version of the flash player. This
usually has the habit of not allowing people to properly upgrade
their player, or stops flash sites from working correctly. In Win
XP I typically go to C:/Windows/Download Program Files and delete
the entire folder to fix this issue. This folder holds all of the
OCX files that IE uses to run the various plug-ins you have
installed. By deleting the folder, you remove any corrupt files
that are in there, and IE will re-download the controls the next
time you open the browser, effectively fixing the issue.
This issue has become extremely prevalent with player 9, and
Adobe increasing the web install method to install the
    player.

  • How to cross Firewall and Proxy Settings

    Hi,
Every one eagerly waiting for the Reply for the Firewall Problem. I wan't to get rid from this situation. Is there any way to get out from this problem?

    Hi mqh7,<o:p></o:p>
As we know group policy has two main configurations, user and computer. Accordingly, the computer policy is
applied to the computer despite of the logged user and the user configuration is applied to the user despite of the computer he is logged on. <o:p></o:p>
And as Denis said, the loopback processing of Group Policy has two different modes, Replace and Merge. It is obvious that Replace mode replaces User Configuration with the one applied to the
Computer, whereas Merge mode merges two User Configurations. For your information, please refer to the following article;<o:p></o:p>

  • Nokia Maps online doesn't work behind corporate fi...

    Hi,
Nokia Maps online 'search' and 'routes' don't work on my work computer. My PC is behind corporate firewall and proxy, but that shouldn't be a problem.
On my work's PC, I can save, edit and rename Favourites; I can rename Routes; I can see a route previously saved on my phone. But it's not possible at all to search for places and consequently it's not possible to calculate new routes.
I think Nokia should pay attention to this proxy issue, if it wants Nokia Maps to become popular all over the world, since at least on my corporation, Nokia Maps is the only mapping system that cannot be used!
Google Maps, NAVTEQ.com and TomTom route planner are some mapping systems that work fine on my work PC. Unfortunately, I cannot use Nokia Maps, which is my favourite system...
Can a Nokia representive forward this to the Nokia Maps online team?
    Regards.

I'm experiencing this same issue. Please fix it. Now I have to use google maps.

  • Calling a web service from a Java SOAP RPC client behind a firewall

    Hi
I've generated java stubs for a web service developed under Workshop. I have tested
the service successfully when the web service is deployed on my "localhost" Weblogic7
    server.
I have now deployed this service on a separate WL7 server outside our corporate
firewall and have changed the IP address in the ServiceLocator to that of the
    new WL7 box.
Now when I run the test client, I get the following error:
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation timed out: no further information
Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
    Thanks

I've solved this problem - setting up http.proxyHost system properties sorted it
    out.

  • Can't Activate Acrobat XI Standard behind company firewall.

I have a custom packaged MSI for Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.  The MSI has our volume license key baked in.  When the MSI is installed on a client behind our firewall and webfilter, the application can't activate.  When I install the same MSI on the same client on a public WIFI network, the install succeeds.  Where can I obtain information about the server that the MSI needs to contact to activate so that I can get that connection whitelisted?

KmerendaFMC can you please try verifying you have access to the following servers:
    ccmdls.adobe.com:443
    ims-na1.adobelogin.com:443
    na1r.services.adobe.com:443
    prod-rel-ffc-ccm.oobesaas.adobe.com:443
    lm.licenses.adobe.com:443

  • 10.4.11 and HTTPS through corporate firewall

At work we just moved to 10.4.11 from 10.4.9, and now apparently anything that requires https doesn't work any more in Safari. We first noticed it with email sites like Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo mail etc. At work we're going through our corporate firewall which is apparently a Windows-based firewall. I'm not in IT so I can't provide details on that.
It does appear to be a problem with Safari specifically because Firefox still works with https sites through the same firewall. With Safari, I've tried using both a pac file and setting the proxy settings manually, with the same results either way. Additionally, these Macs were working with these sites when they were on 10.4.9.
Does anybody know what changed in OS X between 10.4.9 and 10.4.11 that might be causing this problem? Does anybody have any potential solutions? Keep in mind that using Firefox is not an option because it's been outlawed in my department, and similarly I'm not in IT here and I have no control over the firewall or changing anything on it.
Not being able to get to any secure sites in Safari is a real pain. I had to use Firefox just to post this, because it required a secure sign on. On all these machines everything is fully upgraded through 10.4.11, including Safari 3.1.1. Anything to even point me in the right direction would be helpful. Thanks.

I may not have a solution, but I can tell you that HTTPS works fine for me from behind my corporate firewall (Safari 3.1.1, OS X 10.4.11). If there's a proxy server needed (there is for me, and that's something you seem to have investigated with your IT department) I assume you have the setting for that enabled in System Preferences > Network > active connection > Proxies tab; also, if the box for HTTPS is checked and you are not behind a proxy server, the connection will fail, so UNcheck the box.
Note that FireFox uses it's own proxy settings (Preferences > Advanced tab > Network tab > Settings button), bypassing the OS X network prefs.
    Hope this helps...

  • HT201407 I upgraded my iphone3gs to OS 6.1 and then after it says that activation error try again later? how to resolve it?

how can i activate my phone again always sayaing the error thing???

There are four primary causes of the activation error:
The activation server is unavailable. Rare, but it happens. Usually fixed within minutes.
Your antivirus or firewall (or your router's firewall) is blocking access to the domain gs.apple.com on ports 80 and 443.
    Your phone is jailbroken.
Your phone isn't jailbroken, but the computer you are connected to during the restore or update was used to hack or jailbreak some other iOS device, and its network database was corrupted in the process.
Perhaps this will provide you some clues as to how to proceed. If your iPhone has been jailbroken, you're on your own. We can provide no assistance for jailbroken devices in these forums.
    Regards.
