How do I get a refund for a rental that didn't download all the way?

You may not get a refund, you may simply get the rental download.
Have you tried Store>Check for Available Downloads?
If you cannot get it, then contact itunes support. Click Support at the top of this page, then click the link under Contact Us.

I actually figured it out after all! All I had to do was go back to the movie, select the rental button, iTunes recognized that I had already rented this movie but that it wasn't downloaded completely. It then made the download button visible and "voila" it restarted the download!

I pressed pause on Apple TV (2) remote by mistake twice, thus stopping movie (rental) download. Now unable to find. When trying to download again, message reads "You have already rented this movie, go to Settings and check in Download". There is no "Download" option in settings. Cannot purchase the movie either, same message. No trace of the movie but it has disappeared from my Wish list so system def thinks I have it. Have tried "check rentals' in Settings but the little circle just keeps going round and round and round. Any ideas of how to rent this movie??? Try logging out and back into your iTunes account, this worked for me as the rental tab (which had been invisible until then) appeared and my movie was there. Check rentals is a dead end.

Slow HD rental download - Fix

I spent forever looking for a fix to my sudden extremely slow HD rental loading times. We tried changing our DNS, switching to an ethernet cable over wireless, and anything else we could find. However, the instant solution seemed to be changing our download preference from HD to SD. The great thing is that once you have already started a rental download in HD, you can go and switch it to SD, have it load instantly, then change it back. Kind of a pain but saves a TON of time.
I hope this helps someone as much as it helped me!

SD rentals are cheaper than HD - why would you therefore rent in HD, then change the setting to watch in SD? (which I've never tried to confirm that it downloads SD version after making an HD rental).
I'm not sure this is expected behaviour.

It starts when you begin to watch it. You have 30 days in which to view the movie but the timer starts when you start playing the movie.
You do not need an internet connection to watch the movie after it has been fully downloaded.

ITunes rental download error

Hi,
My iPad almost downloaded an movie rental, but at one point, the download stopped: "Download error. Tap to retry."
• I have tried Tap several times, it starts again, processing, and than stop again
• I have restarted iPad, same problem
• I have syned and free up even more space, same problem.
Two problem with this:
• On my mac, in iTunes, it doesn't offer the movie to download.
• The partial download occupy 1.4 GB on my ipad, but doesn't show up in movies, so I can't see, can't delete

Same here.
My biggest problem with the download isn't the space it's occupying. It's that it asks me for my account password every 5 min.
I've been thinking about a factory restore but seems like a drastic solution, there should be an easier way to delete it. Like swipe deleting it like all other downloads.

How do I transfer an itunes film rental downloaded onto my iPhone 5 onto my pc?

I downloaded a movie from iTunes that i rented onto my iPhone 5, but would now l would like to watch it on my pc instead. ~When I connect my phone to my pc I can see it in my rentals, but when I go into iTunes it isn't there (on my pc), only on my phone. With my phone plugged into my pc in itunes, in my phone summary and my rentals I have highlighted it and pressed Sync but it won't go onto my pc and I can't double click on it to watch it, only on my phone. I have synced my phone and it's still not there. Help
