Rental fee charged instead of using a credit

A while back I decided to rent a movie since the store had given me three free rental credits for some screwup they made (I forget what) and when I did they charged me 5.99 instead of using a credit. I complained and the refunded the money. Still have three credits. Tried again tonight. Still have three credits but now I'm out another $5.99. For those impaired at math that's a 100% screw-up rate.
First time I rented via my Apple TV. I was then told it had to be through my computer for the credits to take (stupid but OK). So this time I used iTunes to rent it. Then I had to wait for it to download. Still charged the fee.

How do I purchase a number of apps at one time through iTunes using just one credit card transaction. So far it seems that each app purchase is a separate transaction. Is there a shopping cart facility? I can't find one if there is. I'm traveling so each credit card transaction is quite costly.

I wish this were true.
It is true.
You will be billed for iTunes purchase exactly the same as if you are at home. The CC company will not add any fees.
When purchasing through iTunes, it is NOT an overseas transaction. The transaction will simply show up as a regular transaction in your iTunes store. You will be charged/billed according to your address in iTunes, not where you physically are located.
When you make a purchase in a shop, the retailer ID/location is sent with the transaction allowing the CC company to figure the exchange rates and bill the correct amount.

Skype charging my bank using hacked credit card

Your buyer can fund their paypal payments however they want to. How can I receive an invoice from Adobe instead of using a credit card?

Adobe provides an email version of the invoice. You could ask if that would suffice or a printed copy of that email. If they want the email, then I would think the subscription would have to be in the companies name.

After establishing the Credit Card account (i.e. after you have made purchases), you can remove the credit card information by editing your payment info, choosing "None".

I think you are leaving a LOT out of this message. That bill from 20 yrs ago probably was only for 1 line, included NO minutes(you probably paid at least $0.30/minute for calling maybe more plus long distance) OR data. With you current bill of almost $200, it looks as if you have multiple lines, you DO have minutes, long distance is included, and you have 3G or 4G data(neither of which were available 20 years ago). You can't really compare your bill of $20 to your current bill. They are not the same thing.
If you want to make a comparison, 1 individual line(which includes 450 minutes AND long distance) will run you $39.99/month. This same line with 450 minutes(from 20 years ago) would have run you $20(line charge) + $135 for calling minutes + any long distance you may have had.
You can't compare smartphones such as BB, Android, iPhone, etc... because THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE. The oldest technology, BB, wasn't available until 13 years ago!

I am new and want to use Skype to call Fix and Mobile line, I find there is a connection fee. Does that charge on on Per minute basis or Per connection basic?

A connection fee is charged when you use Skype Credit to call a mobile or landline. Connection fees are charged according to the currency set in your Skype account, and per call.

Connection fees are also subject to the following conditions:
- If the call lasts less than one second, the call is not charged.
- If the call lasts more than one second, the connection fee is calculated based on your account currency.
- If your currency is not set, the connection fee will be calculated in Euros.
- If your billing address is within the EU, the connection fee is subject to 15% VAT – so for example, the actual cost for a connection fee of €0.039 (the global rate) would be €0.045. However, since your Skype Credit has been subject to 15% VAT at the time of purchase, you would see the amount of €0.039 deducted from your Skype Credit.

Using a credit in an itunes account

When I purchase an app in the store it prompts me to use a credit card instead of using the credit from the itunes card that I loaded into my account. It will work on two of my ipads but not a third.

Try a reset. Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears.

Sorry, but you cannot use a credit from a gift or prepaid card to purchase additional gifts. I don't know why it's not allowed, but it's not. To purchase a gift for someone else you'll have to enter a credit card.

If you have a balance on your iTunes account then that will automatically be used for purchases before your credit card will be - you can't change how items are billed.
You could try gifting items to yourself, you can only gift via a credit card (I haven't tried it but I think that you should be able to gift items to yourself)

What happens when you try to buy a song, what messages/prompts do you see on the screen (gifting will require card details) ? If this is the first time that you've tried to buy something on the account, then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Suppor…
then card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
Have you tried entering card details to see if it is charged for the purchase (you may see a temporary store holding charge go on the card which your card issuer should remove within a few days or so) ? You should be able to remove card details after entering them.

Not every type of purchase allows use of a gift card. For example, if you send a gift yourself to someone else, it will be charged to your credit card. Same is true if you purchase a card through the "Cards" app on an iOS device.
