Rented movie from I Tune

I downloaded "A Mighty Heart" over the course of about 30 minutes from my temporary location in Australia, but accessing the I-Tunes store as I would from the US. The movie downloaded after I offered my credit card, but then wouldn't play. It accesses I Tunes Store, moves to Chapter 1 (and all chapters are listed), but won't play. I am, however, able to play other ITunes video content. Any thoughts?

Renting movies from i-Tunes

When I try to rent a movie on i-Tunes I keep getting a message that states "verification of payment information required". When I go into my account with i-Tunes everything is ok except the security code for my credit card is missing. Everytime I enter the security code and leave the apple web site and come back to check the account again, it is missing. I am assuming this may be the reason why I can't rent a movie. I can't figure out what to do.

I suspect the clause is there but they turn a blind eye to some extent
There must be tens of thousands of frequent US business travellers who use laptops etc to buy content from the US store when off on business jaunts etc - these people would soon get peeveed with not being able to access their iTunes account and turn their backs on Apple.
There have been a few posts from US servicemen based abroad using iTunes rentals - is a military base sovereign territory in the same sense as an embassy?
Frankly the sooner all his cross border pricing discrepancy and regional content differences ends the better for everyone.
Some kids cartoons in the UK iTunes store seem to cost 300% or more of what they do in the US store which is quite crazy. Most people will simply buy and rip the cheaper DVD when prices are so inflated, it's Apple mainly who lose out as the movie companies still gte their pound of flesh from the DVD sale. Again no surprise so many people just download illegally. Price things fairly and people will buy them - for many new additions at the UK iTunes store most of the customer reviews are simply saying they won't buy at ridiculous prices!

TS3274 my download rented movies from i tunes doesn't show up to play

My ipad 2 - I downloaded a rented movie and I can't find it anywhere. I went to my itunes account and it showed I rented it. So then I purchased a song and it showed up so I rented another movie for 99 cents and it didn't show up. Do I need to do anything with my settings - or do I need to download a certain app. I am frustrated with it and might just use Netflix.

I cannot play rented movies from i tunes and netflix theres always a plug on my tv screen "This content requires HDCP for playback." HDCP isn't support by your HDMI connection.

Did you tap the Videos app icon?
Swipe left of your Home screen then type in the name of the movie.

Finding a rented movie from Apple TV

I recently rented a movie direct from my Apple TV but I am unable to find it. I seem to recall that when you used to go into the movie tab there were essentially a folder for both "Purchased" and "Recently Rented" that showed how much longer remained on any rented movie. I now only appear to have a "Purchased" folder. When I click on the movie again it shows a prompt saying I have already rented this movie. I went to the General / I Tunes / Search for rented but had no success as the disc that appears when searching just seems to continue spinning endlessly and not find anything. Hold on. I don't know if the above will work with a rented movie. There's all kinds of restrictions on what you can do with rented movies.

You definitely can delete the movie prior to the expiration date. However, the movie will automatically disappear from your iTunes library 24 (or 48) hours after you've begun viewing it. Here are the steps on how to delete iTunes media.

Rentals can only play on one device/computer at a time. Have you tried to play on the computer and still have that window open?
Have you transferred the rental to iPod/iPhone or iPad to watch?
