Rented Movie Taking Hours on iTunes...Can I Just Cancel and Switch to Apple TV?

I just rented a movie on iTunes.  It is taking some 3 hours to download the HD version.  I also have ApplyTV and would like to just start watching the stream.  It seems my only options are to rent the movie AGAIN on Apple TV, or wait 3 hours for the HD movie to download.  Yes, I have high-speed cable Internet, good connections, etc.

You will need to wait for it to FULLY download to iTunes before it appears in teh rentals row under Computers>iTunes, unless possibly it says it's ready to watch on the computer and you can push Airplay it to AppleTV.
