Rented movies not showing up.

I purchased three rented movies and i wanted to watch them on my iphone 4s so I plugged it into my computer to transfer them over. I clicked on the movies tab under my device and only one of the movies i have rented showed up to be able to be synced. I was wondering why the other Two rented movies i have are unable to be synced/put on my iphone. They show up under rented movies in my iTunes library on my computer but not in the movies tab under my device to sync to my iphone.

I had this problem as well. I had just downloaded a movie prior to installing an update and then the movie disappeared. The problem resolved after I signed out of iTunes & signed back in again.

  • Rented movie not showing up on iPod Touch's "videos"

I just rented my first movie on iTunes and went through the process of "moving" it to my iPod Touch 2G. In iTunes it shows that it is now on my iPod, and I can see that my video filespace has significantly increased since the transfer. However, on my iPod, under "videos" the movie does not show up. The only items listed are two TV episodes which I earlier purchased and transferred. I tried moving it back to my computer, and then moving it back again to my iPod, but no luck. Any thoughts on how to access my rented movie on my iPod?

I have the same exact issue. Rented a movie yesterday. itunes downloaded it. it was in my library. i moved it to the device. I synced. it shows it is taking up space on my ipod but I cannot find where I can play it. Even installed the new 2.2.1 software and that didnt affect this. how do I play what I rented?

  • Rented movies not showing up on ipod

I recently purchased an 16GB ipod touch and one of the first things I did was rent a movie and tested it out. It worked great. I have now rented two more movies and for some reason they are not working.
I downloaded them, synced them with my ipod, the video storage increased substantially, hit the videos icon to view one and for some strange reason, they show up for a split second and then they are gone.
There is plenty of storage space (about half the ipod is full according to the capacity bar in itunes...shows there is 8.17GB of storage space free).
I have a tv show listed on there and a few video podcasts as well. They all work just fine, but for some reason the movies are not listed except when I first hit the video icon...they show up on the list for a second and then disappear. Any ideas why I can't view them?
    Your help is much appreciated...thanks!!

This also happened to me. I rented a movie and moved it to my ipod touch (2nd gen) and the rented movies tab on itunes is no longer there because I moved the movie to the ipod but it doesn't show up on my ipod. I have less disk space on my ipod, so i know the movie was moved, but I can't find it and now I just have afew hours left before it expires.
Where can I find the movie in my ipod???

  • Rented Movies not showing up on iPad?

I downloaded three movies on my computer (I was able to use a very nice high speed lan connection) as rentals to watch on a trip. I sync'ed my iPad to the computer, however after I did the sync, I still don't see the rented movies. Any suggestions? I do see a movie I bought with no issues but not any of the rented ones.
    Thanks in advance...

Ok you got me going down a road, thanks... But Here's what I find when I go into "Help"
To transfer a rental to iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV:
Connect your device to your computer.
In iTunes, select your device (below Devices):
Click the Movies or TV Shows tab, depending upon the item you rented.
    Select the rented item.
Click Move. After you transfer a rental, it’s removed from your iTunes library.
    Still no luck...

  • Rented Movie Not Showing in Videos

I rented a movie...twice now...that has been moved from my Mac to my iPad.  I sync the iPad and from the Mac, it shows the video on the ipad.  When I go to the iPad, the movie does not show up in the Videos app for me to watch.  I checked the general settings and I have NO restrictions set.
This never happend before the latest upgrade!  Help from anyone out there who can shed some light on this is greatly appreciated.  Is there some new app that we have to watch rented movies from?  Confused.

I have exactly the same problem. Perhaps it has something to do with the recent 10.9.2 update? As a matter of fact no video from my Mac sync with my iPad now.

  • Rented movie not showing up in iTunes to watch on my laptop

Am having trouble watching a rented movie, it is not past the 30 days. The movie is not in the video section in iTunes. Please help?!

The itunes app is where you buy music.  This is not where you watch movies.
Depending on the ios version, it will be in the videos app or the ipod app.

  • Rented Movies not showing up in Front Row

So I was able to "rent" 300 from the iTunes store. I accepted all of the terms and agreements. The download starts. I go to Front Row and look under movies and there is no 300. There is also no section for "Rented Movies". Is this a mistake? Does the whole movie need to download before it will show up?

I'm having the same problem. I contacted Apple tech support about it through the response button on my itunes receipt. All I got was a link to other tech support pages with no relationship to the issue. I sent another complaint to the tech support link on one of those links and all I got was a response with more useless links. I'll give them credit for promptness, but they didn't even acknowledge the Front Row issue, let alone offer a fix. (And yes, I did update to the new Front Row that came out this week before trying the rental.)
Did Apple just blow it and forget to add rentals to Front Row? Tech support sure does seem to be in the dark.

  • Purchased and rented movies not showing upon Apple TV

I can view either my purchased or rented movies on Apple TV. The only thing that shows up on the screen is a large white screen. Any ideas or suggestions?

I assume you mean, "I can't view either my purchased or rented movies on Apple TV"
The white screen indicates an authorisation issue, try restarting your tv and if that is unsuccessful, try de/re-authorising your itms account.

  • Rented movie not showing on all devices

HELP!! I cannot see/find my rented movie on my imac or apple tv, yet it clearly shows on my imac itunes. all devices are authorised to share yet I cannot see it all on my macbook when i open itunes.
When i open itunes store on macbook, it says the movie is already rented but where is it???
beginning to dislike apple very much...
    any suggestion welcome.

Is this QuickTime. If so, which it looks like to me, you
friend will need QuickTime to play it and see the video.
If you have Flash 8 or CS3 you can use the stand alone video
encoder to create an FLV and then insert into Dreamweaver. This
means the user will only need to have a Flash player instead of
QuickTime. Either that or you;ll have to tell visitors to download
    QuickTime

  • Rented movie not showing up in iTunes or on AppleTV

I rented two movies before I left and I believe the both dowloanded to my external HD.  I unhooked the MacBook Air from the external HD and wasn't able to watch the movies on the plane because iTunes couldn't find them (they were at home on the HD).  Now, I'm looking to watch both of the movies, I don't believe I started either one of them and I can find them both on the external HD now that I am back.  They aren't recognized anywhere, but the files exist on the HD.  I can't add them to the iTunes library etc.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There are some bad sectors on the hard drive of the iPod, see if you can do a Restore on a window base PC, if so, reconnect it back with your Mac and hopefully it will get recognized for you to do the following :-
    For Mac computer
    1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
    2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
    3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
    4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
    5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
    6. Open the iTunes and click “Restore”
