Renwed card, lost student discount, charged full price

Subject says it all, it has charged me 9.99 rather than 4.99 which the price should be, I'd like the £5 that was taken wrongfully back, and back on to my standard student subscription.

    Before I'm told, YES I made sure that I signed up under the United States student discount. I have been for a while. It is only just this month that I have been charged the full amount. I am still a student and have physical proof of my attendance at CSU Sacramento. I want to know specifically why I'm being charged the full price now. I received no notification from Spotify that mentioned they were changing my terms of agreement or that my account would be charged full price the following month. Please assist.     Up until March 3rd, 2015, I was paying the student discount rate of 4.99/month. However, in April I started receiving charges of the full price. I am still a student and have been since I opened the account. I just realized the charges today and would like a refund and preferably not a subscription extension as I've seen in other posts.

    Hey  unfortunately, no. But, if you register again, the discount will be applied on the next renewal date, which is in your subscription status. You'll then get that discount for the full 12 months again.

    I'm guessing it was for the holidays but Words HD had a sale for .99 for the Ad-Free version so I took advantage of the opportunity from the free version except I was charged FULL PRICE for the game.  If I did not want to pay full price before I certainly do not want to pay full price now especially when it said $.99 in the drop down in the free version.  HOW DO I GET A REFUN

    I am still a student, but Adobe tried to charge my account the full $500. Luckily that debit card was not active, but now I am looking at other options rather than hassling with Adobe to get my student price again. They should ask: are you still a student/teacher? Rather than assuming that I want to pay full price. Has anyone used Fusion, as a replacement for After Effects? Thinking of dropping Adobe after this.

  • Charged full price without a warning!

    Hello!
    I have a small rant and a warning for other customers! I have a line on my account that I haven't used in a long time that I am still paying for. Previously (under some previous promotion, they said) they let me switch one of my lines to the Edge program. So I thought I would try my luck and upgrade that line to a tablet through Edge. I went through the whole process and placed the order. No where in this entire process did it say I could not do this. I chose the device I wanted and options such as insurance. It told me I had no balance due or if I wanted to I could do a down payment. All was fine and well, submitted the order. It let me go through the whole process as though I was doing the edge program. Then I get an email saying they were charging my bank account nearly $700 for the full price. No explanation as to why. So I call and they said oh you weren't eligible. So instead of saying to me,"this line isn't eligible, would you like to buy this outright?" they just assumed I was going to and charged me the full amount without any sort of warning! I didn't agree to that. Not only did I have to cancel my order.. I was pretty disappointed that 1. they would just charge you without warning and 2. I didn't get my ipad I know I still had an active contract and if its not time, then its not time, thats not my issue. My issue is that they would take money and not even tell you thats what would happen. In all reality it shouldn't even let you go through the process if you are ineligible. Not sure that I will do edge anymore or get anymore devices from verizon. I may just buy outright from apple from now on as I have in the past I have to say, I love my verizon service, def the best in my area. BUT, they without a doubt have the WORST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. You can call 3 times and ask the same question but get 3 different answers.

    You refuse to comprehend that I agree with you. YOU SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED MORE THAN YOU AGREED TO WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE!!! I have never disagreed with you on that but for whatever reason you choose to ignore that and pretend like that is what I said. Now if me pointing out that you attempted to do something you knew you weren't yet eligible to do just because you were able to do it before and decided to take your chances by trying it again is considered rude...then ok. I'm rude. And will continue to be. The idea that you think it should be expected that you will do it again because you got away with it the 1st time is absolutely wrong. It doesn't make what you're doing suddenly ok just because you managed to get through the cracks before. It just means that you were lucky that time and you decided to push your luck again. Two different topics. Doing something and getting away with despite knowing it's not supposed to happen and then trying again but getting upset when someone tells you the truth...that you tried something wrong is amusing. I never said you got upset because you didn't get what you wanted (although you kind of did). I just stated a fact. You attempted something that you shouldn't have. NONE OF THAT MEANS YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED FULL RETAIL WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE UNLESS THAT IS SOMETHING THAT VZW EXPRESSLY HAS AS PART OF THE TERMS.
    I provided you with some routes to try and get some concrete answers as to why they did it. You may also want to contact your bank if the money hasn't been credited back to your payment method yet so they can do it and investigate the charge. I wish you well but your being upset at my honesty and trying to turn it into something else was unnecessary. It doesn't change the truth nor will it hurt my feelings. Being called rude online hardly means anything when I haven't shown you rude at all. Good luck! And I hope you get the device you want soon.

    Spotify Premium gift cards don't take in account any special promotions or discounts as they are worth a set amount of months of premium. and not a balance. The gift card you redeemed worked as directed. Sorry for the misinformation!

  • BT systems wanting to charge full price for YouVie...

    Not sure as to how to do this being first post and all.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    After quite a number of very long and frustraiting calls spanning over a month, BT can't seem to over come a system problem and insist they can't do a box swap at the £49 advertised.  Due to the system saying I will be charged the full £299, no one knows why, let alone get the issue sorted out.  
    My 12 month contract was up at the end of June, since then I keep getting told sorry we can't help the system won't let me!!!!  Frustrating isn't even the word I'd use.
    I just can't believe no one can help me/override the system.

    I think he is experiencing the same problem I've been having. When trying to download iTunes the page finishes loading without downloading anything.

  • Charged full CD price AND free downloads used up.

    I was credited with 3 free songs on my iTunes account (from Cookie Crisp boxes). I went to purchase the new VNV Nation CD for $9.90 and when it was finished downloading, my 3 free songs weren't listed in the top corner anymore, and I was charged the full price for the CD.
    I had figured that it just pulled the price of 3 of the songs from the CD and used them up, but the free song credits are gone and I was indeed charged full price.
    Is there a way I can get my free song downloads added to my account again?

    I believe that the credits from the General Mills cereal promotion have expired (at the end of February, from what I can determine). The display probably just didn't refresh until you purchased that album, so it was erroneously showing that you still had those song credits available.
    And just FYI for the future, song credits cannot be used toward the purchase of an entire album.

  • Student discount has disappeared

    I have always paid for spotify at half price (in the UK) by using my NUS extra card. The card is still in date and I'm still a student but I have started being charged full price subscription again. There is no option to change my payment details and add the student card and when I go to the student subscription page it redirects me as I am 'not eligible for this discount'? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Want to go back to paying half price without cancelling my subscription and restarting it again if possible.

    The student discount lasts one year before it expires. After it expires you should be able to renew it from the student discount page.
