Reocurring pop up message 'Accessing iTunes Store'

Sorry if this question has already been asked on the forums but i was unable to find it!
I have recently downloaded the newest updates (10.2.1) for my MacBook pro. After the download i reopened iTunes and the message 'Accessing iTunes Store' popped up. I therefore let it load and tried to carry on with my general song browsing and name editing etc, but unfortunately was unable to do so as this message kept popping up! It is very frustrating as it means i can not use my iTunes at all as i don't get a chance to do anything before the message pops up again!
I have read this problem in forums via google but no one seems to have a solution, so i am guessing it is a problem with the latest software. Please if there is anything you can do to help me, answer my query! It's driving me MAD!
Thanks!
FR

Managed to fix the problem! For all who need help with this similar problem, reopen iTunes, click on 'store' and then on 'authorise computer' and the problem fixes itself!
Hope this helps everyone!

  • Re: Itunes 10.3 for windows  I had problems  whereas when I searched for a song I kept getting message "Accessing Itunes Store" when I was already in it I uninstalled and reinstalled latest version  Still having problems

I had following problem: When I tried to search for a song in the Itunes Store I kept getting message "Accessing Itunes Store" (even though it appeared I was already in the store) Everytime I typed a character in the Search box the Accessing Itunes Store message would pop up
I was told to uninstall Itunes and Quick time programs and reinstall latest versions, which I have done and now have Itunes 10.3
I still got same messages so I tried a few things and when I went to my itunes account profile I got message "Requested Resouce not found"
Don't know where to go from this point.  HELP

I have the same issue.  I took it the genius bar and called talked to tier 2 phone support. They have standard thing where you uninstall all apple software in a certain order and then reinstall 64bit itunes.  That did nothing (tried it 4 times).
I've gotten two clues so far.
One is that at the store if I plug someone else's iphone 4 in then itunes acts the same way. So it is not the phone. Two is tier 2 phone support told me to try syncing it with a fresh user account (an admin one). I did that and itunes was just fine, it did not freeze.
So there appears to be some conflict with the software, music files, whatever that is on my current user account (also an admin account).  I ran virus and malware detectors and found nothing.  Now I'm going to try putting my music, movies, apps, etc in the new user account and see if the phone will sync then.
I know its not much but thats where I'm at. I hope it helps.

  • TS1368 Error message accessing iTunes store: "Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."???

After updating my iTunes to the newest I cannot access iTunes store.
When I pess the button "iTunes Store" I get the message: "Your request could not be completed. The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." Does anybody know what's going on???

I have this issue too.  I sent an email and got a link to visit the community and find my answer here.  I'm NOT happy with the email I got.  I've been able to see my appleid and then click on Music or Movies but I cannot go to the home screen of the Store.  This is obviously something they will have to do an update for.  We aren't the only ones with this same issue.  I've seen more than one question/subject about this same thing.

  • ITunes 10.3.1 pops up with Accessing iTunes Store every second

When trying to type something into the upper right search field in iTunes 10.3.1, it pops up with the "Accessing iTunes Store" after every single letter I try to type in. It makes it so even writing a single word takes like a full minute. The previous version of iTunes had just started doing it too. I updated to 10.3.1 hoping that it would fix it, but it didn't.

    Hi all, iTunes streaming victims.
I struggled long with the streaming buffer problem of iTunes and indeed could solve it with increasing the buffer size, which features has been removed in iTunes 10. And this without updating the instructions by Apple!
In the end also the reinstall didn't work.
    Here is my latest solutions:

perfect for all wireless audio streaming not only for itunes, but any source on the Mac.
solved the problem completely for my 3 MacBooks, 2 airports, iphones etc.
it is not for free but a very good value for money.

  • Accessing iTunes Store - Pop up window

Does anyone know how to fix this annoying pop up window ''Accessing iTunes Store'' that appears every time I open iTunes or access the iTunes Store? Or anyone out there with same problem?
Every time I type a letter in the iTunes store search box, the progress bar appears! Grrr
The Cinematic Orchestra is off the cards at the moment - Maybe some U2 instead.
The problem first began when I installed iTunes 10.2. All previous versions where fine - no problems. I thought this most recent 10.2.1 update was issued to maybe fix this frustrating glitch. No such luck.
I have tried reinstalling, clearing my caches and making sure the Safari 'Block Pop Up Windows' option is activated.
    Many Thanks

I've fixed mine! From a little help from an apple adviser.
You might want to clear your caches before doing this - under iTunes preferences.
Open iTunes - go to the top bar, click the 'Store' drop down menu >
Then click 'De-authorise this Computer' >
    Enter your password etc >
Then click 'Store' again then click 'Re-authorise this Computer'>
    Enter password etc>
    Restart the Mac>
Open up iTunes should be fine - worked for me anyway
    Good Luck

  • Accessing iTunes Store since 2.1 update

I have a minor but annoying bug going on since I updated to the 2.1. I will first say that I have never had any significant even moderately significant problems with ATV before. So this is not a big problem but here goes...
Ever since the new update whenever I click on a movie page like "ALL HD" the ATV first spends about 10 seconds on the "Accessing iTunes Store" spinning logo page. Then the page does load, but I never had this happen before. Before the page would load fairly quickly. It's even more annoying when I'm on that page, move to another menu item (say "Top Movies") and then back to the ALL HD page- even if I was only on the Top Movies page for a few seconds the ATV will still go to the "Accessing iTunes Store" thing.
Any thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this? Is this just their servers still being overtaxed? BTW I rented a movie last night and it started in about the same time as before update, so not sure what the issues is.

K-Man, this is not just you. I have a Gigabit wired network and get 7.5 MB/s from my internet provider so I have a big pipe and fast download speeds. This "Accessing Itunes Store" is directly linked to the update and has nothing to do with overhwlmed servers (IMO). I have 3 ATV's in the house and 2 I updated to the latest release...they are having the same issues as you described below. The third ATV I have not updated and it works perfectly and never gives me the message "Accessing iTunes Store" and simply pops the cover art under each category instantly. I will add that a new "bug" is that once my cover art pops under "my movies" on the old firmware, it stayed in place and was instant no matter if I went to You Tube, Music, etc. Under the newest release everytime I go to another category and come back it take a good 3 to 5 seconds to pop that same movie cover art. While this is not a "major" issue like you mentioned, I am pretty peeved as adding new functionality should never be at the cost of "breaking" something. I hope we get a patch to this new firmware in a few days...

  • Can no longer access Itunes store

Sudeenly yesterday I cant access the Itunes store.
When I click on the store, I just see the scrolling barbers pole at the top of the screen and the message ""Accessing Itunes store."" It never gets any further
Ive disabled all my security, ive done the winsock reset and restarted my PC ((many times) I downloaded the LSP list from windows, and the list is huge, with many suppliers listed. It would take days to try and update all of that.
SURELY there is an easier solution to this problem. Clearly Im not the only one having it.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

  • Problems Accessing iTunes Store

    Hi,
This is the second Friday in a row that I've had problems accessing the iTunes store to rent or buy movies from my aTV.
I can browse and view movie details OK but when I click OK to rent or buy a movie I get the twirling "in progress" thingy with the message "Accessing iTunes Store" but it never gets any further.
    Is anybody else having problems?

Same problem for me, and it didn't happen until I updated to iTunes 8. I've had tons of problems since then, I hope Apple does something about it, they must be aware of the issues, and they're being very slow to resolve it.
I'm getting the forever "Accessing iTunes Store" message with the spinning thing. Nothing ever happens. I have rebooted, but I agree with the comment that it's a very frustrating way to buy or rent a movie.

  • Accessing iTunes Store window stuck when I try to open. It won't let me click on anything else

When I open my iTunes a window pops up saying "Accessing iTunes Store" it won't let me click on anything else....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  • Itunes always accessing itunes store

Since updating last week, each time i do anything in itunes like selecting a song to play it starts playing the song but pops up with 'accessing itunes store' and you can't do anything else except cancel it but it takes awhile, its really frustrating because you can't do anything while its trying to access the store, any one have any suggestions i would be very very grateful

nevermind, got it - the apple menu bar, not the itunes menu bar. Wow, this thing has been making me insane for weeks. what a fluke that someone found a fix for this!!!
Love the forum - not a big fan of apple support. It's pretty sad that their users know more about their machines thean they do.
Incidentally, when I purchased my upgrade, the "expert" tried to tell me that I could go straight from tiger to the snow leopard upgrade. When I insisted that I was pretty sure I needed box set, he went  to get his manager, who corrected him. Good grief.

  • Itunes "accessing Itunes store..." never ends.

So I have wiped my computer three times now and still every time I try and open itunes i instantly get the message "accessing itunes store" however it never leaves and it never allows canceling. there are no conflictions with firewall or any other security perameters, what could be causing it?

delete itunes  redownoad and sync the ipod it should work

  • Stuck in "Accessing iTunes Store..."

    Hello!
I have two computers: one Apple iMac G5 and a new Apple MacBook Pro 15". In the Apple iMac G5 I can enter to the iTunes Store without problems, but when I try to enter with the Apple MacBook Pro 15", the iTunes stay stucked in the message "accessing iTunes Store..." and the advance bar stay near of the finish. I repaired my keychains and the problem is the same. Any idea?...I must reinstall my iTunes software?....and If this is the option, what archives I need to delete (preferences, library, etc. etc).

I have the exact same problem!
My advance bar stops about 1/4 of the way across. When I turned my computer on this morning, it worked once and I thought my problem was gone. I restarted iTunes though and it went back to its old ways. I thought that maybe it had to do with my internet connection, but that disproved that theory, as well as the fact that my fiancé's Toshiba can connect.
    Help!
