Reorganize BIA landscape ? Srange problem

HI Team,
I am getting this "Reorganize BIA landscape" message in BIA check result in RSDDBIAMON2.
But when I execute the Reorganize BIA landscape action ...  system pop up information box saying
" Reorganization of BI accelerator landscape not necessary"
What should I do ?
Please help .

Hi,
If reOrg is need, the check box(reOrganize BIA Landscape) will be automatically checked. I think in your case its not checked. That means reOrg not needed.I think you are seeing old message(may be).
Its nothing to worry, if you want you can re-Org without message also.
Thanks,
Sreeni

  • REORGANIZE BIA LANDSCAPE - Flag checked all the time

    Hi ,
We have reorganized BIA landscape and it went through succesfully. But after completion of the job, in the monitor screen it is still proposing to reorganize.
Normally after completion of job, reorg flag will be unchecked. But now it is remaining checked all the time.
Can anyone suggest how to find where it was locked ??
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vidyasagar

  • BIA revision 49: Reorganize TREX landscape

    Dear colleague,
We applied BIA revision 49 last weekend. Everything went well, and all is workign fine. But, is it normal that we are still getting the following message on a regular basis:
    Checks indicating changed status
    hpa_2 : reorg
Returns yes if reorg is recommended
    Reorganize TREX landscape
Thanking you in advance for your feedback!
    Regards,
    SylvainB

    Hello SylvianB,
there are times when the reorg check is not optimal. One reason can be that the standard deviation of index distribution could be improved by a high percentage. So the reorg was recommended.
Nevertheless the absolute gain of improvement was very small (some few MB).
In such a constellation adding a few more rows to BIA leads to the situation that again the percentage gain of better distribution was high again - but not absolutely.
We are planning to provide a better decision handling wether it makes sense to recommend a reorg or not in a coming revision.
As a workaround you can ignore the reorg alert, as long as in the summary tab of the reorg view you see no improvement for line "Standard Deviation of All indexes over Indexservers" of at least 100MB.
It is not critical for operations if you ignore a few reorg alerts.

    Marc

  • Interactive PDF Form in Landscaped Page; Problems with Additional Pages

    Please see the attached screenshot.
I created a form (in Word) which has 10 pages of the exact same fields except for the side number (the 10 pages number from 1 to 200) which numbers each line to be filled out by the end user.
I have created each field for page 1 (no easy feat as Acrobat 11 did not recognize most of the necessary fields) and all of the checkboxes must be grouped so that only one checkbox is able to be picked.  When I try to distribute each of the fields to the other 9 pages, or even if I copy and paste the fields to page 2, then the fields turn portrait rather than landscaped and I am unable to rotate them.
I have tried extracting page 1, rename it to page 2, update the numbering scheme (which throws everything out of alignment), and then reinsert it behind page 1, and again, it rotates the landscaped fields to portrait.
Is there any way possible for me to EASILY recreate this page nine more times (I have already spent approximately 10 hours working on this one page getting everything created and lined up correctly)?
In doing some research yesterday, I saw that this was a software limitation issue and that Acrobat does not allow fields in landscaped pages to be recreated as landscaped fields (I do not have this problem with the same type of form created in portrait pages and can distribute fields all day long through pages and pages of PDFs.
Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance that I can draw upon other than having to create each page separately (I just do not have the time as the one page took me about 10 hours)?
    Thank you so much!

    That's very disappointing ...
    Thanks Bernd, for your answer!

  • Forced landscape rotation problem

    Hi all,
like many others im having problems implementing forced landscape rotation.
My app allows a user to select/take a photo. If the photo was taken in landscape orientation then I
force the user to view it in landscape orientation.
I have finally come up with a hack that allows me to do this.
The hack involves removing the navigation controller from the window and adding the landscape view
controller directly to the window which allows the landscape view to override the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation.
In order to allow the landscape view controller to be navigated to by the navigation controller
I push a "placeholder" view controller onto the navigation controllers stack and the moment it
displays, I remove the navigation controller from the window and add the landscape view
    directly to the window.
The landscape controller has its own navigation controller in order to maintain consistency with
the rest of the app. When back is pressed I simply remove the Landscape controller from the window
and then re-add the original navigation controller to the window and pop the placeholder view from
it to prevent the landscape view from being loaded again.
This all works but looks horrible!
What happens is this: After the user has selected a landscape photo, the top status bar rotates to
landscape orientation straight away, but unfortunately the menu bar and the rest of the photo album screen stay in portrait orientation.
After a few seconds my landscape view controller loads and displays the picture as it should.
But for these few seconds after selecting a photo the screen looks foul with mismatched status bar orientation.
I have overidden the drawRect method of the view that draws the landscape image and it seems that it is the call to [image drawInRect] that is causing the problem because it takes so long!
If i remove this call, then the screen switches instantly to my landscape view controller with no horrible unprofessional looking lag, but obviously the picture doesnt get drawn which isnt much use
Please see the screenshot that i have attached as it probably explains the problem much better than I can with words!
In the photo you can see that the status bar has prematurely rotated itself to landscape whilst the rest of the screen stays put in portrait.
If anyone could offer a solution to this problem I would be extremely grateful.
    Thanks,
    chris.

Hi herbertmunch & welcome to discussions...
Perhaps you are handling the view's frame property and not it's bounds... Those two are not the same when you rotate/transform a particular view.
Be sure to also check out the viewWillAppear method...

  • Landscape mode problem persists still after 2.0.1 update

The update has not fixed the problem with landscape mode when looking at pictures or browsing the web on my iPhone 3G. The problem seems to come out of nowhere--can look at pictures and it works fine---later without doing anything it will not allow you to view the same pics in landscape mode. Same goes for web pages. Once it quits doing landscape mode the only way to "fix" it is to power the phone off and then turn it back on.

I have the similar problem. When waking up from lock mode, any app (ie iPod) that uses the accelerometer gets stuck in landscape mode. I don't have a cure other than turning the phone off and on. The strange thing is that this problem happens intermittently. Some days it happens; some days it does not. But it happens on most days. Very frustrating

  • Unable to reorganize BIA with return code 5528 error

    Hi,
Reorganize job is not scheduling due to 5528 return code error. It is saying that already one reorg job is active. But i do not see any running job. Also from log executions it is recorded as "Failed".
Is the job running at TREX server ?
    Please suggest.
    -Vidyasagar

    Hi,
Error code 5528 means the nameserver has active plan. Normally not problem but if you have already seen the wrong status in reorg in standalone trexadmin tool then this means some query is hanging.
The reorg job can not be canceled now. You should restart  the index server on all the blades. Although running reorg don't need to care the query in general, but if you have big query then please  find a time when there is no query running to do the reorg job.
    Best Regards,
    Joseph

  • Knowledge Sought--Please post something! Landscape/rotation problem

I have posted before but no one said anything so I do not know if I am alone or what the deal is.
I have finally found what causes my iPhone 3G to stop rotating pictures, turning the regular calculator into a scientific one, and stopping webpages from being viewed in landscape (turning the phone on the side)---my iPhone is able to do all of those things until I make a call--then it will not do those things. I must turn the phone off and back on in order to be able to go into landscape mode. Before it seemed a random problem--but I have now discovered it is after I make a call.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know anything about this issue??? Any help, comments, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I notice that at times, web pages will not rotate to landscape mode. I haven't been able to determine if there is a pattern, such as after making or a receiving a call. It seems random and is very frustrating.

  • IOS8 / iPhone 6 Landscape Text Problem

Anyone experience a problem texting in landscape mode?  Mine works fine but my wife's hangs on the first line of test.  It won't wrap.  Tried rebooting the phone, but problem persists.  On her's anyway.

To try to get rid of the many bugs that was supposed to be fixed with 8.0.2, but still very much remained on my phone, this is what I did.
I contacted apple support and was told to do a full update and recovery with iTunes, basically wiping the phone and installing 8.0.2 directly, without any upgrading from earlier versions, that may cause issues and leave trash code/bugs. I did see a couple odd things on my phone that may have been caused when updating from first iOS 8 release to current 8.0.2. One thing was two camera storage folders when looking at the device from my PC, in which were many shortcuts to some "Drive" or something. Could not be accessed, could not be deleted. No matter.
Anyhow, I'm now done restoring my backup and all music/apps, and it seems to have gotten rid of an issue where landscape viewing photos or photo folders froze the screen/touch. This was easiest to test since it appeared every time for me. It may have gotten rid of (some of or all) the other issues too. Non responsive keyboard when writing in landscape, screen flickering black when rotating, or my favorite; recording an audio message when rotating text screen... to mention some. I'm sure there are many more I hadn't seen.
To do this you need iTunes on a computer, and preferably a full updated backup of your phone. Backup passwords and secure stuff by encrypting the backup in iTunes (option on iPhone summary tab). Transfer purchases is a good idea to not have to re-download apps etc. Also manually or with other software sync or backup your photos/videos taken with your device (iTunes does not sync this). I do this by accessing the phone storage directly in Windows 7, it appears as a unit in My Computer. Similar ways in different OS:s. After backup is done do following (will wipe phone of all data, need to have SIM card PIN and everything afterwards):
EXTRA NOTE if you have SLOW-MO VIDEOS: you may need to save your pictures/videos to iCloud for the slow-mo vids to work in slow motion after all this. Just a heads up.
    1. Completely shut down phone by holding sleep button until you get option to drag on screen to shut down. Wait 30 seconds just to make sure it's fully off.
    2. Hold down home button on iPhone, while plugging the USB cable into your computer (may need to have iTunes running if it does not auto-start correctly). Do not release home button until you get an iTunes logo on the screen.
    3. In iTunes you should now see a message about updating and recovering your phone. Follow the instructions. After it's fully complete (phone appears in iTunes again and no action is happening in activity window in top of iTunes) you can eject the phone and take the USB cable out.
    4. Set up your phone again as if it was new, enter you SIM card PIN, WiFi-password if needed, iCloud etc. At one point it wants to either be set up as a new phone or restored from a backup. Either iCloud or iTunes. Select iTunes if you have followed this. Plug USB cable back in. Follow instructions in iTunes, select the backup you made earlier. Enter password if encrypted.
    5. After restore is done it should sync with iTunes (manually select sync if it doesn't) to restore apps/music/books and everything else checked. Except camera photos, which works differently. This may take some time depending on how much data there is. Expect anything from 10 minutes to over an hour. Progress shows in iTunes at the top. Also, this is a good time to untick some apps in the app tab in iTunes under your phone, that you do not use any more. I'm guessing there may be some old ones. If you happen to want some of them again you can always sync it or re download it later again (and things you buy is linked to your account, you don't have to pay twice).
    6. Not sure about the camera pics/vids. Seems the official way to do it is to always use iCloud for photo-storage. I don't do this, so this is what I did. To get the pictures/videos back on the phone make sure you have all the pictured/videos you want to sync back to the phone in one folder on your computer. Everything in this folder will get synced, so if you have other junk there, create a new folder first for the sync and move the photos/videos you want synced there. A parent folder to sync with sub-folders for different albums may work, but I haven't tried it. Then select that folder in iTunes, your phone and the Photos tab. I checked "Include videos" too. Apply at the bottom so it syncs. THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK FOR SLOW-MO VIDEOS however, as they get bumped back to regular speed when synced back. I'm sure they still are 120/240 FPS, only played back wrongly. I would call this a software issue from Apple that needs to be fixed. Maybe it can be fixed with a paid sync app or something, I'm not gonna bother with it now.
    7. Hopefully enjoy iOS 8.0.2 without the MANY INCREDIBLY BAD BUGS that was in the initial release.

  • Fullscreen landscape/portrait problem solved?

In earlier versions of DPS there was problem when you press full screen in portrait-mode and then rotate the device, it never rotate and goes to fullscreen in landscape mode.
Is it possible in the latest versions? And how is it done?
    BR

    Chris:
What file format are those files? Also check those files with PS and see what Mode they are - under the Image->Mode menu item. That my give you an idea of what's causing the problem. With iPhoto quitting like it is take a look at the tip at the end of my signature. One quit at the wrong time might mess up the database file. Better safe than sorry.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • Landscape viewing problems

This morning when I got the X it worked perfectly, except for a small contact transferring problem. But other than that it was good, until I calibrated the compass, after I did that I cannot view things that go from portrait to landscape when you tilt the phone in landscape mode. The accelerometer still works but I cannot use the landscape keyboard or anything that isn't already in landscape view. So is anyone experiencing this? And if you are have you found a fix, cause it is really annoying and I love my landscape keyboard

Have you tried to turn your device to the left instead of the right to have your screen change to landscape mode? The screen will only change to landscape mode when the device is turned to the left. To do this, move the top of the device to the left instead of the right to view screen in landscape  mode.

    Dear Expert,
I tried to add new system DEV into solution manager landscape with the Assistant .
But during the step Create RFC connections, it occured some errors below.
RC=2: The user has no authorization in the target system (for the object S_RFCACL), or logged on with one of the protected users 'DDIC' or 'SAP*'.
I created a account call 'TIM' at target system, and also solution manager has the same user account as well.
does any other authorizqtion need to be assign to TIM.??
    please help~

    Hello,
Please create a communication user in both Solman system as well as satellite system with trusted autorizatrion.
For trusted autorization create a role with object S_RFC & S_RFCACL
While generating RFC please select the user which you have created in the above step
Hope this helps you if not let me know the exact error

  • Landscape video problem

    Hi,
I have a newly aquired BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip. I installed the latest version of the desktop software (2.6) only to find out it doesn't come with the Roxio Media Manager anymore. I then d/l version 2.5. I have read on this site that video can't be played in Landscape mode unless it's been converted and transferred to the phone using the Media Manager. I've now tried numerous conversions with the Roxio software, and not a single one plays in Landscape, except the sample video that came with the phone. I there anyone else who's having this issue by chance, or have a solution?
    Thanks,
    Mike

I know that all fullscreen videos are flexible to both orientation. What´s happens here is before show your vertical layout the viewer shows the vertical video. You need to try in custom app...Produce  an IPA file and test it.
    Maybe be a bug...
