Drill through reort parameter are not getting refreshed

Hi I have created one drill through report. The functionality is like this I have main report and when I click on value of report that value get passed to drill through report and report displays based on parameter passed.
But now the porblem is if I change the parameter value and click on view report button the reort with updated parameter values doesnt display on report pan. I see old parameter values on screen. Please note that this is multi value parameter.
can some body help me with this issue.
For example
I have created report with parameter Country with multiple values set to true. Through main parameter I am passing America and I get reports based on parameter value America now on second report when I changes the values of country parameter America to Canada
it doest get refreshed at all. I get same value in Country parameter.

According to your description, you have a drill through report. After you click and pass a report to the target, it will not update the records if you change values in parameter selection. Right?
In this scenario, the reason why the target report doesn't update records because you don't specify the available values for parameter in target report. So it can only receive the value passed from source report. For this issue, you just need to specify
the Available Values for the parameter in target report. Don's set the Default Values for parameter. Otherwise it can't get value passed from source report.

"custno"-"custName"-"Total Due"-"current due"-Past due 1-30"-"past due 31-60"-Past due 61-90"....up to "past due 180 days and above"
can any one suggest me detailed steps to customize this report in report painter.

Not able to find saved WEBI reorts in BO 4.0

Hi,
I am experiencing weird Web Intelligence 4.0 behavior, I have upgraded report from BO 6.5 to BO XI 4.0 but now am not able to edit report, Edit option is available but when click on it then it doesn't opens edit window. Also same report when i try to save with different name then its not available in BI launchpad but if i try to save it again with same name it shows warning that 'Reports already exists with same name. Do you want to overwrite it?'
I am working on BO 4.0 patch 11.

Check sap Note 1838654.may be it will help you.
As you mentioned you are on BO 4.0 Patch 11 it is very low patch.More possibilities these are bugs and SAP identified and fixed in later patches.
Better to upgrade on latest service pack and see.

the requirement is in md04 screen we are getting for each material wise stock requirement list,but client wants purchase order i e stock transport order wise stock requirement list.i e reverse case of md04 screen.
if it is sale order (customer order)we will get in md4c transaction,but there is no tab for purchase order in that transaction.

Can I change the reort total: text in the summary row in a report region?

Hi all,
This might has been asked before, I tried searching the forum but couldn't find an answer. In the report attribute, if I tick the sum checkbox then run the page, the last row would give me the summary numbers which is what I want. However is there a way I can change the "report total" text in the last row of the first column?

I had the same problem, until I realised that the text seems to be printed under the first column of the report. If that one is a hidden column, the text won't be printed in the report.
Solution:
In the 'Report Attributes' tab, move the first visible column (= attribute 'Show' is ticked) to the top of the report columns.

The fieldcatalog itself have a flag called CHECKBOX which should be checked for the field you need to be displayed in checkbox format.
Check the following program for your reference

(Search for CHECKBOX in that report)

Reort layout

i have a problem with my report layout, i am displaying the report as
<b>matnr description inbound outbound vgbel</b>
so when ever a record matches the data should be printed in a single line if the records doesnt not matches then it should print first the
matnr description inbound and after ending of inbound qty the outbound qty should be displayed, the problem here is i have data in a single table.
how to split and print the data for inbound and outbound inreport
help needed in this.

In the same internal Table two extra fields for INQTY and OUTQTY.
and populate those fields by looping the ITAB.
Loop at ITAB.
   if field = Outbound.
      move the related qty to OUTQTY
   else.
     move the related qty to InQTY
   endif.
   modify ITAB index sy-tabix.
endloop.
so now the ITAB will have OUTBOUND and INBOUND qtys sepearately in fields.
so now you can display easily along with the fields.

Adding a new field in a standard ALV reort

I have a requirement of adding a new field to Standard ALV report. The TCODE is CN50N. When you execute it and gives the project as input it will display an ALV report. i want to add another filed to that ALV report. The program it 's using is RPSISKB000. How to do it???

Hi,
Check in the ALV output whether these fields are already there and not displaying in the ALV output, if the fields are not at all printing in the ALV output,then copy the Program to Z program and change it.
write the Code to add the new fields to the internal table and change the Field catalaog to come your fields in the ALV output then print it

Interactive Reort with DATE logic

Hi,
I have a Interactive Report having the following criteria.
Let's suppose report is based on EMP table and it has a date field called EMP_DATE
My week start from Monday to Sunday.
*1. Current Week*
Feb 01 - Monday
Feb 05 - Friday
Feb 07 - Sunday
when I run the report any day from Monday (Feb 01) to Sunday (Feb 07), it should fetch all the employees whose EMP_DATE falls between the current week Monday (Feb 01) & Friday (Feb 05).
*2. Next Week*
Feb 08 - Monday
Feb 12 - Friday
Feb 14 - Sunday
when I run the report any day from Monday (Feb 01) to Sunday (Feb 07), it should fetch all the employees whose EMP_DATE falls between the next week Monday (Feb 08) & Friday (Feb 12).
*3. Previous 3rd Week*
Jan 11 - Monday
Jan 15 - Friday
Jan 17 - Sunday
when I run the report any day from Monday (Feb 01) to Sunday (Feb 07), it should fetch all the employees whose EMP_DATE falls between the previous 3rd week Monday (Jan 11) & Friday (Jan 15).
if anyone has implemented this kind of logic??, appreciate your feedback..

Yes I need the silent SAVE option enabled through this button.
Its offline scenario. User saves the copy of the form locally.
In the form there will be a SAVE button.
When user clicks on it, the data he entered before click should be saved like CTRL + S.

Run Reorts Using DB JOBS

Hello,
Is it possible to create a database job and schedule reports(rdf) and email the report to user with customized message in email body?
I was thinking of using db jobs so developer will have control of scheduling and see the status.
Any one could provide more insight?

You can use the srw package in the DB to run a report, and use the scheduler (dbms_scheduler) to schedule the job.

Drill Down Report:
As the name suggests you can drill down further to view details from basic the list. It has more than one level.
Example:
You have a repor that displays header documents. You would like to see the item details by clicking on the document number in the initial list. In the item list, you wuold like to see shcedule line details, hence click on item and view the schedule line.
i.e. it has three levels, first level - header data, second level - item data of the corresponding document, third level - shcedule line data of the corresponding item.
1st Level:
Document1 Date Vendor1
Document2 Date Vendor1 etc.
on clicking on 2nd Document1, you would get something like this:
Document1:
item1 material1 quantity
item2 material2 quantity
on clicking on particular item (lets say item2) you would get something like this:
item1
scheduleline1 quantity
scheduleline2 quantity
Normal Report:
It has only one level. You would have to display all the data in one screen. At times it looks clumsy to put header, item, and schedule line details in one report. Hence, we would go for drill down reports.
Ex:
Document1 Date Vendor1
Item1 material1 quantity
scheduleline1 quantity
scheduleline2 quantity
Item2 material1 quantity
scheduleline1 quantity
scheduleline2 quantity
Document2 Date Vendor1
Item1 material1 quantity

Go URLs are a way to directly call an Answer Request or Dashboard Page via a URL. In addition, you can even pass parameters in the URL as filters. GO URLs are used will you want to allow a user to drill into detail by clicking on a static text. It also allows other tools to drill into OBIEE.
Here's an example GO URL: http://LOCALHOST:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Go&Path=/users/administrator/OTN Tests/Page Test&Style=oracle10&Format=PDF
I'll break down each piece
LOCALHOST: This is the URL for your OBIEE web host
:9704: This is the typical port for OBIEE installs (sometimes 7777)
?Go: This is where the it's gets the name "GO URL". It's the GO command.
&Path= : This is the full path of the report. In my case, it's in the administrator folder in a sub folder called OTN Test. The report itself is called Page Test.
&Style=: This sets the style, or the look and feel, on how the report is presented. The default is oracle10.
&Format=: You can set this to default the presentation. I set it to PDf so that a PDF will generated.
