REP-0065: Virtual Memory System Error  REP-0200: Cannot allocate enough mem

HI i am facing this error since a while.
i dont know how to rectify.
For my report I am using like 7 ref cursors from the database to output the data. It’s been a while that I am facing this error.
I have tried many ways by modifying my code, but still getting this error. When I replace the whole code in the RDF itself, then its running fine without any problems.
I just got stucked with this report. I totally ran out of ideas to resolve this error.
if you have any idea about this error please let me know.
i need to do from the database side. dont know wat to do.
please post the solution ASAP, i have to submit . i going mad.
i am using oracle reports builder 10g.(10.1.2.0)

no actually i tried to download and install one of the patch p4505133_10105_WINNT, i am unable to install the other . my DBA assisted installing the patches. but he could error while installing the second one.
do i need to install on the server or my local machine.
i dont know for some dates its working as there are around 48 rows. for other dates whose date is 400 plus its not working. when execute from reports it runs fine.
date is the parameter for my report to fetch.
it displays the data, but when i try to go the last page then it throws this 2 errors:
Re: REP-0065: Virtual Memory System Error REP-0200: Cannot allocate enough . in data model there are 7 plsql block in which i am calling the procedure for each plsql.
i tried to call one by one with main detail plsql, then its working . when i try to call all together. then probllem rises..
i have checked all the data types . everything looks good.
please help. i am in cruical situation.

  • Error "ROW-00001 cannot allocate memory"

I am using oracle 10g and i got this error "ROW-00001 cannot allocate memory" when accessing dataset. What is the solution of this and concept behind it. Please help.

I have had a similar error with SQL Server 2005 (running on WINXP SP3) connected to Oracle 9i through a Linked Server.
I was originally using MSDAORA and was upgrading to OraOLEDB. There was a lot going on with my machine involving repeated installs/un-installs of the 9i and 10g clients so it's hard to pin-point the exact cause of this being broken.
Eventually I had the original linked server using MSDAORA and the new Linked served using OraOLEDB existing happily side by side. Then I started having problems selecting data.
I could still connect and select sysdate from dual through each linked server. Sometimes I could select data and then shortly after I could not. A reboot helped briefly but then the problems re-appeared.
    The errors I got were:
    - Using the original Linked server with MSDAORA
Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The OLE DB provider "MSDAORA" for linked server "LNK_KADM01P" reported an error. The provider ran out of memory.
Msg 7330, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Cannot fetch a row from OLE DB provider "MSDAORA" for linked server "LNK_KADM01P".- Using the new Linked server with OraOLEDB.
OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "OLE_LNK_KADM01P" returned message "".
OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "OLE_LNK_KADM01P" returned message "ROW-00001: Cannot allocate memory".
Msg 7320, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Cannot execute the query "SELECT * FROM XYZ " against OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "OLE_LNK_KADM01P". In the end I reinstalled the 9i ODAC/OLE client. When you run the installer it shows 5 ODAC/OLE subcomponents. I think when I had been installing earlier I had not been selecting each subcomponent, and so it was only installing the first one (which is for MS MTS).
I went through the install and specifically selected each one of the components. I'm pretty sure my problem was caused by only having the old 9.2.0.1 OLE client objects installed instead of 9.2.0.7. After the re-install and reboot it's been running fine, and coincidently data throughput has doubled.
I hope this is help to others. (Because I know how frustrating and painful this has been for me!!!)

  • SAP DBTech JDBC: [4]: cannot allocate enough memory: Out of memory

    Hello,
I am currently experiencing this error when making request to the Hana database via jdbc : SAP DBTech JDBC: [4]: cannot allocate enough memory: Out of memory
I guess I am running out of space, so I wanted to delete some data from unused tables. The problem is that I cannot connect with Studio anymore "Error when connecting to system".
Is there another way to delete data from some tables when getting this particular error ?
Does anyone experienced such a situation ?
    Thank you,
    Benoît

    Hi Benoit,
Please plan to migrate to the latest version from Rev 38 before 1 year license expires in Rev 38 in Oct 2013. You need to export your content and import in the latest version.
As you are aware, a lot of bugs are fixed between Rev 38 and the newer releases along with new SPS5 features  and HANA One is adding new web based management features in each HANA One release which does not need SSH to stop|start HANA as it can be done in browser starting in Rev 52 (check out The specified item was not found.for additional info). Please stay tuned for the upcoming version which will have additional management features to manage your instance.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
meanwhile i found a solution for way a) (JCo RFC Provider) in another thread.
Everything is ok so far in my coding above. BUT nowhere in Documentation i found a hint, that using Jco RFC Provider NOT works with EJB 3.0 but with EJB 2.1 !!!
For this i not only have to create the Local Interface which the Bean has to implement. I further have to create the EBJ 2.1 Interfaces as:
    public interface FB_BESCHLAGPAKETLocalHome extends EJBLocalHome {
        public com.dihug.kall.eel.FB_BESCHLAGPAKETLocalComponent create() throws javax.ejb.CreateException, java.rmi.RemoteException;
    and
    public interface FB_BESCHLAGPAKETLocalComponent extends EJBLocalObject {
        public void processFunction (Function function);
Doing so, the RFC from Abap to Java works with JCo RFC-Provider
Unfortunatly i didn't found it in documentation that this EBJ 2.1 specific interfaces have to be declared even NW 7.11 is a JEE5 Server with EJB 3 Support and a developer on this plattform would normally go the EJB 3 Way.
Even though i now have a working solution it would be interesting how the JRA Way would go.
    kind regards
    Matthias

  • REP-0065 and REP-0200

    Hi everyone,
I have a report that uses a strongly typed ref cursor to get its data. When I run the report on my local machine (oc4j and report server running on my local machine), the report runs fine. That makes me believe that the data types being returned by the query match what is in the ref cursor. However, when I put the report on a remote report server, I get the Virtual Memory System error described below. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi NTR
.First, try to restart the OS and/or the Application Server .
.If this doesn't solve ur problem then u need to reinstall the AS on a stronger Machine;higher in processor and Memory to be able to deal with the AS.
.Then,Follows the steps of installing the AS precisely.
REP-0002: Unable to retrieve a string from the Report Builder message file..This is the dummy message that was facing us all days long i had no solution to it in any search i was trying to made , even the reports were running just fine from the report builder we had this error whenever a parameter form was tring to connect to The Application Server.
.It was amazing error the report was running at first very quitely then come tomorrow u will c this Dummy message all the time unless u have to move all ur AS to a Strong Machine Server..
    Which was Solved then.

  • Virtual Memory Eror

    Hi,
I have the following piece of code in one of the Oracle Report SQL,
    ROUND(DECODE(NVL(agf.mv_tot_usd,0),0,'n/a',
    TO_CHAR(NVL(ehf.mv_usd,0)/
    agf.mv_tot_usd*100,
    'FM99,990.00')),6) pct_tot,
After adding ROUND function (without ROUND function SQL is working fine) to the above code Oracle showing the following error
    message:
    rep-0065 virtual memory error
    rep-0200 cannot allocate enough memory
    cavva22
Any help would be more appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Satyaki,
Thank you so much for your reply and I have been resolved that problem. The cause is, I was trying to ROUND the character converted values by using the below code
    ROUND(DECODE(NVL(agf.mv_tot_usd,0),0,'n/a',
    TO_CHAR(NVL(ehf.mv_usd,0)/
    agf.mv_tot_usd*100,
    'FM99,990.00')),6)
    pct_tot,
I have changed the code as follows and the problem has been fixed.
    DECODE(NVL(agf.mv_tot_usd,0),0,'n/a',
    TO_CHAR(ROUND(NVL(ehf.mv_usd,0)/
    agf.mv_tot_usd*100,6),
    'FM99,990.00'))
    pct_tot,
Once again thanks for your reply.

Hello all, long time reader, first time poster. So basically what I'm running into is that I'm having Virtual Memory Exhausted errors with various programs even though I have a 16g swap partition mounted. I've manually enabled it to try it as well. Here's some outputs to give you an idea of how my system is set up. It's a UEFI fresh install, only a couple days old.

I did just notice that it's showing 4gb less RAM than there should be (12 instead of 16, I'll be checking into that about the same time I hit submit) but as far as I can tell the system shouldn't even be worried about swap 99.99% of the time. Any ideas?
Edit: On reboot system show the full 16gb of RAM.

Could it be a hardware problem with RAM? Is there a 4 GB RAM chip in the machine that may have failed?

  • What's up with my Virtual Memory?

I've got a MacBook Pro 15" 2Ghz Core i7 running the 10.8.4 with all updates and 16gb of ram. I notice a couple of odd things over the course of a multiday session:
    - Over a few days of usage launching and quiting most apps but with Mail, Terminal, LaunchBar and Safari running constantly, memory and virtual memory usage grow to the point where I have only a few dozen Mb of ram left and over 12 Gb of Virtual Memory consumed.
    - Odder still is never, ever, in any session regardless how long, do my virtual memory statistics show more than 14 hits, not 14%, 14 all during boot time, despite hundreds of thousand of page-ins and lookups, and millions (22 million + this session) page faults.
I've noticed that Safari is the main culprit with memory consumption as it only frees up the bulk of any used if quit and relaunched. Even closing all tabs and windows has little to no affect on memory or virtual memory usage, but I have no idea why lookups once the machine is booted never, ever result in a hit despite a constantly growing number and size of swapfiles. Its almost as if Lion is encrypting the swaps but then doesn't have access to read them though I don't know how that might come about.
Anyone care to offer suggestions as to cause or debugging/troubleshooting tips?
    Other notes:
This has been happening at least since 10.7.x.
Aside from apps listed above, other frequent apps are, Adobe Photoshop 5.5.x, Lightroom 5, LaunchBar, and ocassional MS Office 2011 with all updates.
    Thanks,
    David

Understanding top output in the Terminal
The amount of available RAM for applications is the sum of Free RAM and Inactive RAM. This will change as applications are opened and closed or change from active to inactive status. The Swap figure represents an estimate of the total amount of swap space required for VM if used, but does not necessarily indicate the actual size of the existing swap file. If you are really in need of more RAM that would be indicated by how frequently the system uses VM. If you open the Terminal and run the top command at the prompt you will find information reported on Pageins () and Pageouts (). Pageouts () is the important figure. If the value in the parentheses is 0 (zero) then OS X is not making instantaneous use of VM which means you have adequate physical RAM for the system with the applications you have loaded. If the figure in parentheses is running positive and your hard drive is constantly being used (thrashing) then you need more physical RAM.
Adding RAM only makes it possible to run more programs concurrently.  It doesn't speed up the computer nor make games run faster.  What it can do is prevent the system from having to use disk-based VM when it runs out of RAM because you are trying to run too many applications concurrently or using applications that are extremely RAM dependent.  It will improve the performance of applications that run mostly in RAM or when loading programs.

  • Virtual memory exhausted when compiling packages from AUR

Recently I've seen this error more and more often. When I tried compiling some packages from AUR, I ended up getting "virtual memory exhausted" error. The first time it happened with clementine-git, then android-studio. Can I do something about it?

I am also facing the same problem.  I am trying to install a package, and the installations aborts saying 'virtual memory exhausted'. The RAM is 2 GB and i have alloted 2 GB as swap.  Things i have tried so far
    -install  using yaourt
    -install using  makepkg.
    -change  TMPDIR to HDD.
Even when i tried it without any window manager to start, limiting the RAM usage, the problem still persists. The only way is to allot an extra swap space, but that would mean that i will have to delete a partition, which is not a feasible solution. Is there anything else one could do. ?
