We are using Report Builder Version 6.0.8.24.0 and Windows7 32 bit operating system, here
While Running a Report through form i am getting this below
error.
REP-0118 Unable to create a temporary file*
But while running the same report in a windows 98 or windowsXp PC
i dont get this error.
What might be the problem.
pls advice the solution....

Case 2: There is not enough free space on the disk to create the temporary file.
Case 3: A temporary file that cannot be modified already exist
In regedit under branch hkey_local_machine/software/oracle/<oracle home>
I have changed the variable REPORTS_TMP. I changed the value for this to c:\reports_tmp
or you can use something like this where you want Oracle reports to create temp files. Hope this helps

You have to change registry settings by going through REGEDIT. Under hkey_local_machine/software/oracle/<oracle home>, look for variable REPORTS_TMP. Change value for this, for example c:\windows\temp or something like that where you want oracle reports to create temp files.

I don't have the bug number handy but I'm quite certain this was
resolved in one of the post-s10_69 builds. Please download the
official Solaris 10 initial release and by all means, let us know if you
continue to see this issue during zone installation.

Has anyone successfully created a catalog file for Windows 10 Ent. Preview build 9926? Ii get persistent failures attempting to do so. Log output is below and any hint would be greatly appreciated.

Possible Solution - Unable to create a secure connection in Windows 7

Issue: I was unable to create a secure connection to the iTunes store from iTunes, and got a message recommending I check my date and time settings. My date, time, and time zone settings were correct, and iTunes was allowed through Windows firewall. I had no other connection issues.
Affects: iTunes Store on Windows 7, and possibly Windows Vista, when running Windows Firewall
Solution: In the Windows Firewall exceptions page (Allow a program through Windows Firewall), there were two entries for iTunes. One allowed iTunes through my private network, and the other through public networks. After I deleted the entry that allowed public networks, I was able to connect. If you have tried everything else and still can't connect to the iTunes store, make sure there is only one entry for iTunes in Windows Firewall.

Unable to create the temporary folder. Error 183 when starting Distiller

New information discovered - see end of message!
Full error message is (window title is Acrobat Distiller):
"Unable to create the temporary folder
Error: 183 - cannot create a file when that file already exists."
I have no idea what file or what folder it is referring to. This is on an x86 Vista notebook and the message comes up when starting the notebook and also if you manually start Distiller 8. Updating did not help, nor did turning off the UAC, or running Distiller as Administrator. In the latter case, Distiller will open correctly, but the next time you need to use it, it fails. With the UAC turned off, the behavior is for it to show the Distiller window for a fraction of a second and close immediately. I also gave the user full rights to the C:\Program Files\Adobe folder and lower. Made no difference.
Coincidental with this is that the PDFMOfficeAddIn.dll add-in will not enable in Word - when it is checked, and I hit OK, I get the message:
"The connected state of Office Add-Ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed."
All of this is going on when logged in as an administrator. I have seen folks post about this issue, but no answers that actually fiux the problem, just suggest what I have already tried. Anyone seen this one?
The user is highly mobile, so I am not going to have a chance to work on her computer again until next week.

I tried removing and reinstalling as administrator and the problem remains. However while trying to troubleshoot, I discovered some more details.
The message is being thrown when acrotray.exe is started as a process in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Control Set\Run and then tries to run acrodist.exe (which fails, BTW). If I don't let it run there and run acrotray,exe as administrator, then acrodist.exe runs as a process without an error. Additionally, stopping it from running in the registry, and then starting MS Word, the Acrobat add-in does load and even though there is an error thown, it still creates the PDF! I have other Vista 32 notebooks running various Acrobat versions with no problems.
Another key thing I found out is that Acrobat started throwing the error after an HP Scanjet 8400 and its software were installed. I tried explicitly giving the user (already an administrator) full rights to the Acrobat, HP and Read IRIS directories. Did not help the problem. I have to think that there is some interaction there, but sure don't know what it is.

e problem but now i can reboot and log in OK, was 2 things:
i went into my system registry and unchecked to start at startup and then disavled it.
i also had to go to each adobe icon, right click, go to properites, and than make all selections set to be administator.

Unable to create post script file in framemaker.

I installed TCS 4.0 licensed suite. Due to some reason I need to delete Adobe PDF from Devices and Printers. Since then I am unable to create post script file using framemaker. I have tried uninstalling and installing TCS 4.0 again, but all in vain. What should I do now?

If you delete critical parts of Acrobat there will be problems. Try doing a REPAIR of Acrobat Pro (from the Programs Control Panel), maybe it can undo the damage.

Failed to create a temporary file in directory C:\PROGRA~2\: Method GetTempFileName

I have Mcafee anti-virus and currently purchased a new package, so I decided to reinstall the software as it would not verify through the other product package.
So I unistalled and tried to reinstall the software and now everytime I try to install any software it either:
(1) does not run the installation process or
(2) an error message pops up saying: "failed to create a temporary file in directory C:\PROGRA~2\: Method GetTempFileName"
I am really stuck as I now basicaly can't run installations and cannot retrieve Mcafee either.
I have an HP Elitebook 8440p.

Not permissions. Not TEMP path name.
After some research we ran Process Monitor during the build. Turns out we used up all of the temporary file names... LOL!
Tmp file names in Vista, and maybe others, have the format tmp####.tmp, where #### is 0x0000 to 0xffff. When we looked in the Temp directory we found over 65,000 TMP files. We are guessing that CSC creates these files but does not remove them. After so many thousands of builds, we ran out of names. We thought they were gone when we ran Disk Cleanup, but MSBUILD uses the administrator account while we were cleaning from a user account.
Might be nice if CSC deleted it's TMP files...

when folderString should be a folder where all temporary files of the user are saved (its a dynpage code).
So I found the following code in JavaScript:

in that directory there are too many files [cellcli.lst.0.lck...............cellcli.lst.0.99.lck]
whereas in the third stg-server which run smoothly there are three files [cellcli.lst.0,cellcli.lst.0.1,cellcli.lst.0.2]
without any file with "lck" extension

Hello, check directory permissions

"Couldn't create destination temporary file:Permission denied"

I am running the latest version of Final Cut Server on a Mac Pro Tower running Mac Server 10.6.X.
I keep getting 2 Error messages every time my users are trying to send content to the server via Final Cut Server client application:
(1) "Broken Pipe" and (2) "Couldn't create destination temporary file:Permission denied"
Anybody have any Ideas on how I could correct this?

File Adapter-Creating a temporary file

Hi,
I got an requirement to place only completed file(With 100% data) in the target directory. So i need to gather the data in a temporary file first before final file is put on the target directory. I know we have an option in the File adapter (Put File). What i need is, where the temporary file is created? do we need to delete these temporary file? and How to test this requirement?

If you use Temporary file under put file XI wil create a temporary file at the target location only.
But when your requirement is to create file why you are looking for temperory file. Just use Create and it will create a final file.

7.7 upgrade: Error: There was an error creating a temporary file

*I get the following error when trying to upgrade to 7.7*

*When I got to launch iTunes ver 7.6.1.9 I get the following message*
+"The registry settings used by iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes. iTunes was not properly installed. If you want iTunes to retrieve CD information from the internet, you need to reinstall iTunes"+
The problem I have is I cannot uninstall iTunes using ADD/Remove Programs nor can I upgrade.
Anyone have any suggestions?
BTW, when I launch iTunes it works but I have not hooked my iPOD up yet for fear it will erase.

Ensure antivirus is disabled. McAfee interfered with my iTunes installer resulting in this error. When I temporarily disabled McAfee, the installer completed successfully.
