REP-1070/REP-1051
Hi,
I have a javascript that works independently and when I put that inside ora-rep, I get this error:
REP-1051 unable to save report
REP-1070 Error while opening or saving a document. non-specific error occurred.
help!
thanks!
Hi,
thanks, I'm using rpt6i, oracle 8.1.7.2. still can't figure out why it doesnt work =(, but I since that still restricts my validations, I've trying to write an html/javascript page that will call my oracle report. I've used an oracle pl/sql package where in it I'm calling my oracle report:
<form name="UndelvrdShipForm" onSubmit="return show_alert(this)" method=post
action="http://xxx.xxx.com/dev60cgi/rwcgi60?xuserid&xpwd=/web/app/ors/orsd/opt/reports/xyz.rdf&desformat=html">
but I'm getting this error:
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified.
but if I ran the http://... separately it works fine, any ideas?
THANKS!

Parameter Form not calling the Main report - Gives REP-0110, REP-1070, REP-0110 error
I am using run_report_object to call a report in which the user has to input some paramters. I have followed the instructions as in the Oracle White paper document on Forms/Reports integration.
The paramter report does come up but when I hit the submit button, I get an error
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'rclug005'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'rclug005
I've checked the privileges and everything's fine on that front. Also, I can get to open the report with the web.show document built-in with paramform setting = No.
I am guessing something's wrong with the html constructed in the parameter form which is,
<form method=post action="http://myserver/dev60cgi/RWCGI60.EXE?">
<input name="hidden_run_parameters" type=hidden value="server=myserver &report=rclug005&destype=Cache&desformat=html&userid=uid/pwd@test">
In the Report Before Form trigger, I've copied the foll. html code from the Oracle White paper,
vc_parameter_form :=
'<html><body bgclor="ffffff"><form method=post action="'||:p_action||'">'||
'<input name="hidden_run_parameters" type=hidden
value= "'||vc_hidden_runtime_values||'">'||'<center><p>
<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0><tr><td>
<input type=submit></td><td> width=15
<td><input type=reset></td></tr></table><p><hr></p>';
I've set the :p_action parameter to a value of http://myserver/dev60cgi/RWCGI60.EXE?
Also, In the end of the report before form trigger I added this
srw.set_before_form_html(srw.text_escape, vc_parameter_form);
Any help/tips is appreciated & Thanks.Thanks Danny,
I am building the variable exactly as in the White paper in the "before form" trigger using exactly the same values give there.
vc_hidden_runtime_values := 'server='||:p_servername||'&report='||vc_report_name||'.rep&destype='||:destype||'&desformat='||:desformat||'&userid='||:p_userinfo;
My report has some extra parameters too it expects. So do I have to include the names of those parameters too in the string above?
For example, in my report a user parameter is named 'print_date', which I do see and populate with value in the parameter form, then do I have to build that in the vc_hidden_runtime_values string above.
I am using Report 6.0.8.11.3 on 9iAS. -
Report Errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when saving
I just created a new report. I'm now getting errors REP-1051 and REP-1070 when I attempt to save the .rdf to my local hard drive (or anywhere else for that matter). Permissions where I try to save it are OK, in fact if I remove the SQL and insert "select * from dual", it saves nicely. Is there a query size limit of which I'm unaware? The SQL runs corrrectly, compiles correctly, etc. I just can't seem to save my work. Thank you in advance.
REP-1051 and REP-1070 What are the messages for these codes?
Which version and OS are you using?
How are you calling your report? -
Parameter Form , REP-1051 and REP-1070
HI
I am trying to write validating functions for text box which will be shown in parameter form when the report will be run on web through URL. I am unable to save the report file after wrting the validating code in before form property of report. Oracle Report Builder raises error with error codes REP-1051 and REP-1070.I have noticed that this error occurs when the toal html content in report exceeds 6.11 kb in size. Any solution ?May be write some of the information to a table and retrieve from that?

Report-Service is not available: REP-110 und REP-1070
Hello,
I get the following errors after new configuration for Froms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.6):
FRM-41214: Unable to run report
Or:
REP-110: File 01RD_MARG_04E. cannot be opened.
REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document.
The Report-Server is in Running state, but Report-Service is not available.
How can I isolate the error position?
Thanks in advance,
MohammadJust out of curiosity, what did you change in opmn.xml?
Oh, I see in the doc now. That the same thing can be inserted in opmn.xml. But I have never seen
that done in any production environment I have encounterd.
I find that document a little bit strange, to be honest. Is that really the way to configure the Reports Service?
It is so very strange that they do not mention the env-id possibility in the rwserver.conf file.
The REPORTS_PATH is gotten from either registry, that is, the default for the host if you so like, or envid in the call to reports service via the URL as a parameter, ie. &envid=test. That envid can also hold
variables like NLS_LANG and such.
I regard the opmn files as do-not-touch and part of the WLS system structure.
I seldom touch the reports.bat-file. But maybe that was necessary in this case. I do not know.

When trying to open an report file (.rdf) in Reports 6 it won't open. I get the error REP-1070 Error while saving or opening ... Object not found in the object store.
I know that in the report there is an OLE object, is that the problem? How can I save the source code when I can't open the file?

Try this..
Get the user account under which the host instance for the send port is configured.
Log-off from your server. Log back in using the service account. The account which is been used in the host instance.
Go to MMC..Select “My User Account” as opposed to “Computer account” as you did.
The import the certificate under “Personal “ folder and “Trusted Root Certification Authorities ”

Hi, I have a report and I am running it on Application Server 10g. I am calling this report from the Form. The report gives following error.
Terminated with error: <br>REP-110: Unable to open file 'pcashifo.rdf'. REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document. REP-0110: Unable to open file 'pcashifo.rdf'.
I am able to run report directly using the following url

Kindly help in resolving this. This is happening to this report only. I am able to run other reports in the application server.
Regards
Trushatrusha,
It seems like ur addres...rdf is referring 'pcashifo.rdf' . Make sure you have the proper permissions and the REPORTS_PATH has been set properly.
Also open the address...rdf and check if there is any hard coded path for referring 'pcashifo.rdf'

Report error rep-1070 with oracle reports
Hi,
I encountered a problem. I got rep-1070 error when I tried to open a oracle report using developer 2000 (2.5). Please let me know if you could help. thanks so muchHi Diana,
This error means Reports can't understand the file. One way this happens is if you transfer the file from one platform to another (e.g., UNIX to Windows) using FTP without putting it in binary mode. Another way you might get this error is opening a v1.1 report in 2.5 that wasn't migrated properly.

How to set up master rep & work rep & execution rep
Hi,
i want to set up master rep & work rep & execution rep in sunsolaris i have 2 ips one for production and 1 for developement.
how many oracle users i requred and to set up master rep & work rep & execution rep's. please suggest me how to do..

VinodHi Vinod,
Adding some points to Sutirta's reply.
I guess , You are asking about versionising and Moving project from deveopment env to production env.
Answer:-
You need to created your different Repositories ( Work-Dev, Work-QA , Work--Prod ) with unique ID's
Otherwise some ID's conflicts will be there when you move projects from one env to another
Now there are different Types of export and import (synonym - insert , duplicate , synonym Insert/uopdate ....)
for more details you can reffer best practices pdf file for ODI. - odi-bestpractices-datawarehouse-whitepaper.pdf
Please let me know still its not clear.

I am getting report error rep-0736&rep-1247 from concurrent
Hi,
I am running inventory report from concurrent is giving error as rep-0736&rep-1247.That report is giving result in report builder.
Can anybody please tell me.It's urgent.
Thank You,These two errors are just saying that there is uncompiled PL/SQL in the report:
REP-0736: There exist uncompiled program unit(s)
REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL
When you are running your report in Reports Builder are you using the same database connection as when the report is run from the concurrent manager (ie are you logged on as APPS in Reports Builder)?
If not, I would guess that the user you are connected to in Reports Builder has access to a database object you are referencing in PL/SQL that the APPS user does not have access to or refers to by a different name.
If you are connected as APPS, then I would suggest that you do a full recompile in Reports Builder (Program -> Compile -> All) and see if that identifies any errors.
