Report-Service is not available: REP-110 und REP-1070
Hello,
I get the following errors after new configuration for Froms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.6):
FRM-41214: Unable to run report
Or:
REP-110: File 01RD_MARG_04E. cannot be opened.
REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document.
The Report-Server is in Running state, but Report-Service is not available.
How can I isolate the error position?
Thanks in advance,
MohammadJust out of curiosity, what did you change in opmn.xml?
Oh, I see in the doc now. That the same thing can be inserted in opmn.xml. But I have never seen
that done in any production environment I have encounterd.
I find that document a little bit strange, to be honest. Is that really the way to configure the Reports Service?
It is so very strange that they do not mention the env-id possibility in the rwserver.conf file.
The REPORTS_PATH is gotten from either registry, that is, the default for the host if you so like, or envid in the call to reports service via the URL as a parameter, ie. &envid=test. That envid can also hold
variables like NLS_LANG and such.
I regard the opmn files as do-not-touch and part of the WLS system structure.
I seldom touch the reports.bat-file. But maybe that was necessary in this case. I do not know.

REP-110: Unable to open file
9iAS report server has been configured.
There is Infrastructure & Business Intelligence Forms home is on same server.
When i try to run the demo url from web browser :
http://<FQDN server>:8888/reports/rwservlet?destype=cache&desformat=PDF&report=Inventory_Report.rdf&userid=scott/tiger@iasdb1
its giving the error as:
REP-110: Unable to open file 'Inventory_Report.rdf'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'Inventory_Report.rdf'.
Tried giving full path also But No Luck!
The file is existing in the proper given path with required permissions.
Can somebody help me.. If any configuration related help, path setting ??I have had issues with reports failing to run. My solution was to change settings on the Report App server. I changed the engine parameters to:
initial engines=2
maximum engines=5
minimum engines =2
maximum job before shutdown (englife)=1
maximum idle before shutdown=30
JVM Option= -Xms512m -Xmx512m
When in the report App server, you should see a page with settings similar to above. Make sure you try these settings in the test environment first (you can change them around then to see what works best).

Hi All,
We are migrating form from Oracle form 6i to Oracle 10g(10.1.2.0.2). I am calling reports from forms
using Web.Show_Docment(). When we run reports in report builder 10g it works fine.
But when we try to run reports from Forms 10g it throws error which is given below.
We want to run reports from UNIX. After using this url to submit report we get error REP 110 and REP 0110
URL
http://GEM:7777/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_server&report=/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf+DESTYPE=CACHE+DESFORMAT=HTML+p_user_id=XYZ+p_client=2
ERROR
REP-110: File '/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf DESTYPE=CACHE DESFORMAT=HTML p_user_id=XYZ p_client=2' not found.
REP-0110: Unable to open file '/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf DESTYPE=CACHE DESFORMAT=HTML p_user_id=XYZ p_client=2'.
I will really appreciate your help.
Thanks
SandyHello,
You are mixing 2 separators in the URL : & and +
Use only one separator in the URL :
Example :
http://GEM:7777/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_server+report=/u01/forms/QA_Forms10g/GEMREP.rdf+DESTYPE=CACHE+DESFORMAT=HTML+p_user_id=XYZ+p_client=2

Rep-110 error opening file on a remote unit
hi,
I installed oracle 10g developer suite on my new computer. I also imported the configuration of my old computer (including system variables and regedit) and mounted some network units, where my .fmb and .rdf files are stored.
My problem is: when I try to open a .fmb file by clicking on it, forms builder runs correctly; but when I try to open a .rdf file, I get the rep-110 error: unable to open file!
theese are my FORMS_PATH, REPORTS_PATH, REPORTS_CLASSPATH keys. My .rdf files are stored at B:\ (\\server\forms\10g_src).
Please help!

hi to all,
i have a problem displaying my reports on our current oracle application server.10gOAS. that OAS is already existing and used by our current system. what i did i just get the report server and put it on my oracle form code. when i call this report during form runtime i received this error.
Terminated with error: <br>REP-110: Unable to open file 'xxx.rdf'. REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document. REP-0110: Unable to open file 'xxx.rdf.
i already put the xxx.rdf on REPORT_PATH directory. but still the error does not resolved. those reports and forms are already deployed on OAS. and im accessing it on my machine.
please help.i already put the xxx.rdf on REPORT_PATH directoryCheck again. This is typically a report in the wrong directory. Or the file permissions on the rdf file are incorrect.
and im accessing it on my machine. What do you mean by that? The files are accessed from the OAS when you are running a report. -

Hi
I get the following error when I try to see the job status (..../rwservlet/showjobs?)
REP-56071: Security check failed with error message: No privilege to do the operation
I also get the following error on running any report on this server:
REP-110: Unable to open file 'Test.rdf'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'Test.rdf'.
Anyone seen the same issue before?Fugured it out - had issues with reportserver.conf file.

Hi, I have a report and I am running it on Application Server 10g. I am calling this report from the Form. The report gives following error.
Terminated with error: <br>REP-110: Unable to open file 'pcashifo.rdf'. REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document. REP-0110: Unable to open file 'pcashifo.rdf'.
I am able to run report directly using the following url
http://orclasg.irma.ac.in:7778/reports/rwservlet?server=rep_orclasg_OraBi&report=addresslabel.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&userid=prm/prm@orcl
Kindly help in resolving this. This is happening to this report only. I am able to run other reports in the application server.
Regards
Trushatrusha,
It seems like ur addres...rdf is referring 'pcashifo.rdf' . Make sure you have the proper permissions and the REPORTS_PATH has been set properly.
Also open the address...rdf and check if there is any hard coded path for referring 'pcashifo.rdf'

Hi,
when trying to run report I am getting this error
REP-110: File accountsmain.rdf cannot be opened.
REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: File accountsmain.rdf cannot be opened.

Thanks,
KKHi!
Either you can edit your REPORTS_PATH environment variable and
put your reports path there, or you edit the rep_pcname.conf
in the developer_home/reports/conf directory.
Open the file with a text editor of your coice.
search for the line
<!--property name="sourceDir" value="your reports source directory"/--> and change it to
<property name="sourceDir" value="x:\your_reports_path"/> change x:\your_reports_path with your reports path, save the file and restart your oc4j instance.

Running Reports 10g on Apps Server
We have a Windows 2003 apps server running Oracle Forms and Reports 10g.
We are having a problem running reports in Oracle 10g, and believe it to be something to do with the configuration files. Currently, we can run the test report through Enterprise Manager using both the default reports service and the one that we have created. However we are unable to run our own reports through forms.
To check that there was nothing wrong with our forms, we copied one of the reports into the â¦\forms10g\reports\samples\demo folder to see if we could run it through Enterprise Manager. However, we get the following error:
Rep-110: Unable to open file â¦â¦
Rep-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
Rep-0110: Unable to open file â¦...
We then renamed the test.rdf file and tried to run that. Again we got the above message. Next we tried again to run test.rdf, even though this no longer existed, and the report ran. This implied that it isn't actually running the report, but has the report output stored somewhere, and it just displays this.
No matter how we try to run reports, and with which reports service, we always get the above error.
So why is it that no reports will run, not even the test one when it is renamed? Is there a configuration setting somewhere?Hi All,
Hope YOu are fine.
We have running Oracle Forms and Reports Services 10g on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
The Application Works fine, and reports are generated successfully.
But when we access the same application by using either Linux OS (RHEL 4.0, Ubuntu 6),
The forms works fine but Linux OS could not run the report.
This seems to be a configuration problem.
Any Clues.
Thanks and Looking Forward.

Hi all,
I have a problem to run report in report server other than the report server in process.I installed 9IDS on 2 PCs.I use one PC as a small Appserver.Exactly, i run OC4J on it, i also create a report server on it, .Both OC4J and report server are permantly ran on my small AppServer. When i run a report using the report server in process, it work well. But when i try to run a report using my report server, i receive these errors messages:
REP-110:Impossible to open the report
REP-1070:Error when trying to open or save report.
I don't know what wrong!Every answers to help are welcomed.
Thanks!a couple more things .. since you are running your server as a real user, make sure the directory your report file is in allows access for this particular user.
if your reports come from a mapped drive, it will not work as windows services don't have access to mapped drives.
if you are using a CGIMAP-key, make sure your CGICMD.DAT is available. you can check this by submitting the showmap servlet command (like you did the showenv).
you can find even more hints in the following tech note:
