Hi friends,
I have a report APXINHIS.rdf which resides on our Linux Application Server. I want to revise it so I copy it
to my Windows XP. Both reports builder versions are the same 6.0.8.28. At first I just want to check how the output
looks as it is without revision, so I just recompile it and run. But I got error :
REP-1212: Object 'Body' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object
Is there an automatic conversion made by the client report builder that changed the source code? It is really
depressing and disappointing to see errors when you did not do anothing to it.
Please help....

Hello Samantha,
I have often said: "Oracle Reports is the biggest hinderance to my productivity.".
With that being said, take a look at the report layout overall - use the <ctrl>- (control minus) to look at it from a "50,000 foot view". You should see where something has strayed outside the boundries of your page. Just squeeze them back in and this error should go away.

Aging 7 Buckets Report ARXAGMW error REP-1212 Object Body is not enclosed

I am customising standard AR Aging 7 buckets report by account(ARXAGMW).
I just need to add 2 fields,That i have added successfully.
But the report output format is not printing properly.
I mean if there are 4 columns custname,custno,endcustname,endcustno.
it is printing the output as
custname custno endcustname endcustno
abc communications inc 1234 abc communicatio 1234
xyz communications inc 5678 pqr communicatio 9657
but i want to print with full name(endcustname) as how it is printing for custname.
So itried to increase the report width to 300 and try to run the report,but i am getting the error.
I tried with standard report also by increasing the width but same error.
Could anyone please tell me when we increase report width what else i should change.
The error is
REP-1212: Object 'Body' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'P_REPORTING_ENTITY_NAME'.

Hi,
"Not allowing" means? Do you get any error?
Is this the same style used by this concurrent program? I assume that the report type is text.
If the report type is bitmap, size the page size in the "Execution Options" field as "PAGESIZE= <width>x<height>" and submit the report again.

REP-1212: Object 'R_MASTER' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object '

hi 2 all
My report is running properly in report builder 10g , but when i call from Oracle Application R12 then
following error message display.
REP-1212: Object 'R_MASTER' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'Body'.
i also check all repearting fram in enlarge view, no object is overlap .
Kindly help me to reslove this issue .

hi am in oracle report 11gR2 am geting this error when running my report REP-1212: Object is not full enclosed by its eclosing object body

Even I have the same error. My report width doesnt exceeds the vertical border. But as my report is a bigger(2 page report), vertically expanded into the 2nd page.
I tried putting a main frame which holds 2 pages. Didn't worked.
Tried putting a Main frame which holds 2 pages and each page with another frames which holds the objects of the respective pages. Didn't worked.
I jus put 2 frames per page which holds objects of their page respectively. Didn't worked.

I had the same error with Landscape orientation report. But when I go to design, Tools, Preferances, Runtime setting and specify Page Width and Heigth like 11 and 8.5 then my report is working.
I'd like to figure out how I can save this setting. Every time I close the report and run it again I have to put these setting.If somebody know, please, help.

I got this error when I add more columns to an EBS standard oracle report.
REP-1212: Object 'Body' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'p_in_invoice_type_high'.
but, p_in_invoice_type_high is a user parameter.
what can I do for this?

You can take the following actions to correct this error:
Case 1: Move or resize the object so that it does not extend outside the page boundary. Alternatively, increase the page size in the Report Property Inspector.
Case 2: Using Arrange--\>Send to Back, Arrange--\>Bring to Front, Arrange--\>Move Backward, and Arrange--\>Move Forward, arrange your repeating frames such that, in terms of layers, the following is true: repeating frames are below repeating frames that they contain and down repeating frames are below across repeating frames.

I have a report with a lot of information...and i still need to put stuff below the end line. This has to be possible! the end line is at 9, and i cant go put a frame below it? Please, help!

To my knowledge there should be a master frame that contains everything else. I'm assuming you used the wizard to setup your layout thus far. Make sure your new frame is within the master frame. Also, you'll need to be careful that the fields in your new frame repeat at the right level. The one thing that has annoyed me with report builder, is even though one object looks like it is inside of another, it may not always be the case. Try Expanding your master frame if your having problems with that so that you get your new frame created clearly within its borders. Then collapse the master frame back down to an appropriate size. Good luck.

Go to Object Navigator --> layout Model --> property palette of Header/Main section and change the width and height values according to ur requirement.

Page break/empty page issue

Hi,
I have big report with 4 data sections.
This is the structure of the report.
Main Frame
--> Repeating Frame
-->Frame1 - PageBreak After - Yes
Some Fields
-->Frame2 - PageBreak After - Yes
Some Fields
--> Repeating Frame
-->Frame3 - PageBreak After - Yes
Some Fields
--> Repeating Frame
-->Frame4 - PageBreak After - Yes
--> Repeating Frame
The size of the report with all the fields and frames in designer is coming up to 30 inches.
When I run the report leaving the Main Section Height property setting to 11 inches,
I get the following error
REP-1212: Object 'M_6' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'Body'
When I changed the Main Section Height property setting to 30 inches then the report runs fine,
but each page break is taking 30 inches even though there the data is not 30 inches.
Meaning even though section 1 (frame 1) has only 10 lines section 2 is displayed after 30 inches of section 1.
Can anyone help me fix this problem?

In my report there are four major sections and each section should start on a new page.
After I add all the fields to all the sections the report height is 30 inches.
For it to run I had to set the page height property to 30 (Main Section --> Height). I think I am correct here.
So, when I run the report each section is starting in a new page but each section is taking 30 inches.
That is the problem.

Report Engine Crashed

Form version is form 6.0.8.8.0
Report version is 6.0.8.8.3.3
I am facing two problems
first is when i run a report and report engine is not already open report will run ok but whenever report engine already open report engine will crash down.
Second prb is i am getting this error msg in few reports

Report width in report builder 6i

Hi Experts,
I am working on report builder 6i reports. I want to increase the report width in the layout.
I click on layout, properties, i changed the width to 700 for header, body and footer section.
But when i run the report from concurrent program, it's giving error.

I set the width as 132, and height as 62 of header, main body and trailer section in report builder.
In Concurrent program window also, i set the column as 132 and rows as 62, and style as BAC.
When i submit the report through concurrent program, it's working fine.
Now i changed the width of the report to 200 and height to 66.
Now, i want to change the style to A4 in concurrent program window. I don't have A4 style in list of values. I went to SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR ---> INSTALL --> PRINTER --> TYPES. (Added A4 style to all types)
Now i changed the columns to 200 and rows to 66 and style as A4.
Now, it's showing below error.
ERROR: APP-FND-00314:INVALID PRINTER.
Again i selected BAC style and try to submit the program, it's giving different error.
REP-1219: 'Body' has no size - length or width is zero.
Could somebody help me to solve the issue. (Why it's giving above error after adding the A4 style to all types of printers) and why did i get the previous errors (REP-1212, Body fully not enclosed).
Kindly help me, it's urgent.

Error while running through concurrent programme

Hi Everyone,
I have a report in report builder which is based on a View.
Its working fine in report builder but when i register the report and try to run
using Concurrent request,
Its throwing an error saying
"View Does Not Exist"

Thank you u were right.That issue resolved.
But now i have one more problem.
As my report has 18 columns in the output, i have increased the width and height of the report to 180 and 50 and section width and height to 18 and 10 and set the orientation to LandScape.
Its working fine in the report builder but when i run it in the application, its giving me an error saying that
"REP-1212: Object Body is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object."
Any suggestion on this.

Purchase Price Variance Report completes with error status

I am using R12.1.3 Vision Instance.
When I ran the report Purchase Price Variance Report, it completed with an error.
The error message is :-
Enter Password:
REP-1212: Object 'F_h_report_date' is not fully enclosed by its enclosing object 'Body'.
REP-0069: Internal error
REP-57054: In-process job terminated:Terminated with error:

Customize page size in report builder 6i layout.

hi all ,
I have developed a contact order report in report builder 6i ,which print its output on preprinted form (using DOT Matrix printer).
for example if output is giving 3 orders ,each order and its details should be printed on each preprinted form.
But when i given print from report builder 6i to dot matrix printer for every order one page is getting skipped .
Even i adjusted wide and height as 35 and in printer file also adjusted but even it is skipping one page for every order .
Even i adjusted wide 80 and height as 66 and it is skipping one page for every order.
Kindly help me how to customize page size in report Builder 6i.

Repeating Frames running over more than one page

Hi I have developed an Oracle Report. It is a nomination form having 7 to 8 pages. FYI..Input is a Pin Number. So, the customer can either enter one pin or can select many pins from the browser and depending on the selection he needs to either print one form or many forms at a stretch. So i want a repeating frame to be enclosed all the other frames. But if i do that, then i am getting an error
"REP-1212: Object R_13 is not fully enclosed by its enclosing body" since the repeating i introduced spans over all the pages in the report.
Please let me know the solution for this asap.

Make sure the repeating frame is variable vertically and that all the frames that it encloses are variable.
