REP-1352 while editing the margins

hi,
I am using Reports 6i and developed a report and it's running ok.
When I tried to increase the margins, it is giving the following error.
REP-1352 The font specified for this report can not be found for the character set specified by NLS_LANG
I installed patch10. What could be the problem.
Please help

It's Advanced mode.
This error occur sometimes.
And if you re-run after an error occurs, the error does not occur.
So, I guess this error has affected the Java cache file, not the Java software.
How do I check what Java cache is corrupted.

This error occurs in various reports, but I din't know the number of reports.

This error has occurred in several machine.

This error occur sometimes, and I usually not use Webi Rich Client.

Disable the Textfield while editing the HTML form item

How to disable a texfield while editing the HTML form item ? It should be enabled while creating the new form entry / record.

If you 'disable' an item and submits (UPDATE) the page, then disabled item value won't get submitted. So the disabled item value will get updated with NULL or you will get any validation failures messages, if you have any.
Better option would be, make the item read-only during Update. For the text item for which you want disable, edit that item,goto 'Read-only Conditions', here set the condition so that user can't edit it during UPDATE. Here you can use same conditions as of your 'UPDATE' button 'display conditions'

the tag is marked invalid because it is missing quote for '>' and '<'

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you edited the xsl for dataview web part.
Please try to change

To

A new row being created while Editing the existing one.

Hi All,
I have a custom page, where i need to edit the existing Data. I have initialized my EOVO in PR. There is also a Lov which is used to search the existing data. Then i edit the field and Save it. Everything works fine and the existing row is being updated. But there creates a new row also with only one field is being populated which is the attribute which i have set on my LOV.
how can i stop this new row from being created.

While editing the columns in ADo net source not refresh the columns

When i am editing the columns in the adonetsource can't able to edit it.
EG:
id name sal are the available columns
select id, 'name' as ename,sal from emp.
I Edited this query as :
select id, 'empname' as ename,sal from emp
It won't affect in the source. & how to change the query using expression. in adonetsource there is no data access mode as from varible. pls help on it.

Let me know what you are trying to Edit in columns. You want to alias the column name or you want to edit the string of column.
Column Aliasing :
select id, name as EmpName, sal from emp

Error while editing the item condition data : urgent

Hi,
I am using a bdc. when i try to edit any of the item condition value (KBETR) and also if i try to insert a new condition , I am getting error as " Message_type_X " and the message no :00341, and the BDC is terminating at the point.
Can anybody kindly suggest a work around

Error REP-0001 While starting the Report service

When trying to start the reports service from 9iAS, i am getting error message as "REP-0001 Unable to open the message file", and in the Window Title it shows "Message 16200 not found, No message file for product rw".

You(The user) need to have access permission to read the mesg files. The DBA installing Reports will be able to run the reports.
Grant read access to rwus.msb and rwus.msg files on $ORACLE_HOME/reports/mesg/

Adobe Pro X crashes while editing the forms

Hi, I've been using Acrobat X Pro to edit forms for weeks now with no problems.
Yesterday it has started crashing as soon as I entering Form Edit mode. I reinstalled it and it did not help.
I am running it on Windows 7 home edition (64 bit).
Please help.

Still having the problem.
I open any PDF in Adobe X, and go to Form -> Edit. It sais that Document cannot be edited and suggests to Save a Copy.
Ok, I save a copy.
Now, I open up a COPY that I have just saved and go to Forms-> Edit.
Fields are being highlighted, but when I click on any field Adobe just crashes.
Also I have another problem - some of the fields on the document become uneditable. I do not understand why I was able to change them before and cannot change them now. This is very frustrated.
I am on Win 7, 64 bit. I have Adobe X and Reader X installed on this PC.
Please Help.

Error while editing the project from CJ20

We are working on capital projects, one of our open projects was created in Jan 2010 with ten WBS elements with two levels and in between we have done profit center field as mandatory field in Dec 2010. For the same project initially we didnu2019t assign the profit center, I have released the project and done some partial settlements to final asset. Now I want to assign the profit center to the particular WBS element.
When I am trying to assign the profit center to first level WBS element system is showing an error: u2018Asset xxxxxxxxx is not in Company Code xxxxu2019. If I am trying to assign the profit center to second level WBS system is showing a message: u2018Costs have been posted to WBS element XXX00079.CAP.1u2019, and not accepting, not allowing for saving the project.

system is throwing valid error that "Profit Center cannot be changed once actual costs are booked"
1. Use Screen Variant for that Particular Old Project & make the Profit Center an optional field.
2. Copy your old Project Profile to a new one & make field selection with influencing field as the new Project Profile (By this, only the new Projects will get your field mandatory effect)
Revert for implications in the above suggestions.

Rename Step.Name while editing the step

I have some SequenceFile librarys which i like to improve for more easy of use.
Most of my librarys are using parameters to descripe what should be done.
I have realized that often things have to done twice.
At first you select a SequenceCall StepType and give a name to it. Normally it descripes
what Sequence is doing. Then you have to set your parameters values. In a lot of
cases Step.Name and Parameters where in relation. There are some possbilities to change the Step.Name
during runtime. But what about editime ?
I assume i have to create my own StepType which is derived from Ni SequenceCall StypType. I think thats not the
major problem. The main question is: Is it possible to rename it to my needs and force it to update in Sequence Editor

good question. I agree that desciption would be the first choise for doing this. But for my task there is no need for the description field.
For my stuff it is more important to have a link between Sequence and Report. And this is the Step.Name. If some thing went wrong.
You are looking a the report. Remember the Step.Name and try to find in the Sequence. I am of the opinion the Step.Name descripes your
Task,Requierement or what you think the system should do. On the other hand Step.Description is telling you what system is doing.
At the moment i am in a project where i have created some sequence(files) librarys. In inside the sequences there is all what i have learned about
Teststand. No beginner will understand whats going on there. So i have designed some sequences where you can define with parameters
what the system should do. I have realized that my Paramters and Step.Name are in relation.
At the moment you have to do things twice, Change parameters values and rename step in the same way.
I like to this only once. And get rid of ts programming errors. How often i only changed only one. After system was running -> "Red"
-> reading report -> Oh man what are doing !! -> enter the forgotten second value -> system running -> green!

Thanks for answering. The version is XI.0.10. I just did the update yesterday hoping that I could now properly edit a scanned pdf document. Yes, it's happening on most all scanned documents. I followed your steps & found the list of fonts used in the document & then attempted to edit. The same occurs. When I type in a correction, I get an error alert... "the original font (in this case Fd 5805) is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font Minion Pro in its place."
When I select the text & right click as you suggested, my only choices are cut, copy, delete or select all, no "edit text".
I have no other options to choose another font. Thanks for any help you can direct my way.
