REP-300 Oracle Error occurred
I have a report which generates in pdf format very well. When I change the desformat to 'DELIMITTEDDATA', the report gives
===
REP-0177: Error while running in remore server
REP-300: Oracle Error occurred
===
Does anyone have any idea why it would run fine in pdf format and not in xls format
Thanks
Found out it was a data error.

The report has been running fine until yesterday and today we are getting the error. I did not find anything relvant in metalink.
And no changes have been to the report.
Can anybody suggest me what to look yet or any possible things that might cause the error. The tracing is not enabled.

Error REP-0300: ORACLE error occurred while running Custom Report
Hi Team.
We are facing a very strange issue here.
We have an env , where all the custom reports are failing .Whereas the concerned env is a clone of the Production instance . There is one more instacne which is also a clone of the prod, over there these reports are working fine .
I have checked all the thread here about this error, but could not get the required information .
We are on RHEL 5 on Linux 64 bit server.
Could you please guide me , how to figure out whats the difference between these cloned instances .
We have an Sr with Oracle Support but its progressing very slowly.

REP-0177: An error occurred while running in a remote server.
I am getting the following errors while trying to run a report script. The report was created in Report Builder.
REP-0177: An error occurred while running in a remote server.
Reference parameter OT_RUN_DATE in the distribution list is invalid.
OT_RUN_DATE is a static field converting SYSDATE to a string (TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'YYYYMMDD')). Unfortunately, I inherited this report and did not create it. I do not know what purpose it serves but would like more insight into what the reference parameter and distribution list mean.
REP-0177: An error occurred while running in a remote server.
Too many errors pushed on the stack
I assume this is related to the first error but am not certain.

Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data
Hi,
In my 1 day old workspace I see more than 3000 errors logged in the owb_error_log_table with text as shown below , can someone from Oracle please advise what the problem seems to be ?
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 76291.DBObject.TABLE_1.2.en_GB
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 76291.DBObject.TABLE_1.1.en_GB
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 42483.PlatformConfiguration.ORACLE.1.en_GB
Oracle Error occured, while checking for Already Committed data : 42483.PlatformConfiguration.ORACLE.2.en_GB
There are many more examples of other errors as well. Google returns nothing for these error....am I the first one to face these errors. We are using 11gRelease2 on RHEL.
They all have a error text of ORA-01403: no data found
tks in advance.I haven't been able to pin it down to a specific action that causes these errors. I have been having various other problems when importing tables ...the screen just freezes and nothing happens. When I queried this table from sql developer to check if I can spot anything and I found these errors.
The screen freezes when I add a new oracle location - the test works fine - but when I click OK to the add oracle location screen it just freezes and nothing happens. -
Terminated with error: REP-300: ... No QB found!
This is reports 10.1.2. I develop on windows XP, I deploy to a testserver which is also windows (2003). No problem on this machine. Then I recompile for linux and deploy to the linux server and the reports server says this:
Terminated with error: REP-300: internal error code, arguments: [kkqctpcsjpc(1): No QB found!], [], [], [], [], [], [], [] ==> select replace(KLA3.VOLLEDIGE_NAAM , chr(10), ',') naam , BST3.naam omschrijving, BST3.geldig_datum, KLA3.NAAM sorteernaam fromI reckon that QB stands for Query Builder, but other than that this error is nowhere to be found on the internet. The query is not complex, basically a select * from one table with a simple where clause.
The report was first saved as a jsp, i rebuild it as an rdf (from scratch!), same problem. So it's either the query or the fact that I am trying to run it on linux. Or both.
Can anyone help?Hi,
some question to try to clarify issue:
1- Are you hitting the same database when running this report from Windows env and from Unix env?
2- What is the Database version?
3- What is the Reports version being used on Unix?
4- Are you able to execute the same select statement from sqlplus on the Unix environment against the same database?
5- Check DB alert.log file to see if there is an ORA-600 error reported at the same time you get the error from Reports.
There is a RDBMS BUG 7353384 with similar error.

Handle Oracle Error from Oracle Forms
Actually I have a form with all types of validation and Id will be auto-generated by forms.
Now if any oracle error occures after pre-insert, auto-generated number will generate but record is not saving.
I want to handle this oracle error in my form and nullify the auto-generated ID forcefully.
Edited by: Sudipto Nag on Sep 16, 2008 12:07 PMThe way we handle database error generally is this:
You should in any case have a NOT NULL constraint on the database column. In the ON-ERROR trigger, we then check for the dbms_error_code value to see, what error message the database returned, after checking for Forms returning the general trigger exception 40735. For example, to trap a NOT NULL constraint voilation, you would do something like this.
if error_code= 40735 then --Forms error code = "Trigger raised unhandled exception".
if dbms_error_code in (-1400, -1407) then --mandatory not null column missing
--do something, like alerting the user
elsif dbms_error_code in (<other DBMS error codes goes here>) then
--do something else
end if;
end if;I believe this is what you are looking for. Hope it helps.

Hi Team,
I am running one conc programme.
After running I am getting below error. I checked the issue on metalink and other, seems that it is an size related issue. I have increased the size of formula columns and placeholdder too.
But still getting issue.
My requirement is to get comma seperated values using SQL query itself. Neither i wanted to create layout of the report , since it is a XML publisher report and nor I am including it on RTF template.
I want the CF_10 formula column to be populated with comma seperated values.
MSG-00187: From Date 01-Sep-2014
REP-1401: 'cf_10formula': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
And Here is my code for CF_10
function CF_10Formula return Number is
begin
SELECT NVL(TO_CHAR(sum(Amount),'99,99,99,999'),0) into :CP_5 --NVL(ROUND(sum(Amount)),0) into :CP_5
-- xxhw_Coll_cat(category) "Intercat Catg"
FROM hhxw_Region_col_v
WHERE Category IN ('Intercompany - CATV')
AND trunc(gl_date) BETWEEN TO_DATE(:P_FROM_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR') AND TO_DATE(:P_TO_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR');
RETURN ROUND(:CP_5);
end;
Anyone please suggest me.
Regards,
SachinHi,
1)Why are you selecting the value into a report item? Select into a local variable and return that
RETURN :CP_5 --> This one!!
2)And you should avoid applying functions to DB columns in where clauses wherever possible, so oracle can use indexes on them if applicable:
AND gl_date >= To_date(:P_FROM_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR')
AND gl_date < To_date( :P_TO_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR') + 1;
I think you are taking 2 column in the Layout CF_10 and CP_5 right? if so, then use below Query.
FUNCTION cf_10formula
RETURN NUMBER
IS
v_amount NUMBER:null;
IS
BEGIN
BEGIN
SELECT nvl(round(SUM(amount)), 0)
INTO v_amount --> Retruns the value for CF_10 column
FROM hhxw_region_col_v
WHERE category IN ( 'Intercompany - CATV' )
AND gl_date >= to_date(:P_FROM_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR')
AND gl_date < to_date( :P_TO_DATE, 'DD/MM/RRRR') + 1;
:CP_5 := nvl(trunc(v_amount),0); --> Retruns the value for CP_5 column
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
v_amount := 0;
srw.message(1003,'Error in Getting :' ||p_from_date);
END;
END;
And
If you've got a number function returning into a number field then all you should need to do to make the comma appear is to change the number format mask in field.

REP - 300 Error while executing report from Application
Hi,
I have report in Report Builder & for the same report form is there in Form Builder in which parameter page is designed. From application where I am calling report is internally calling form & in form Procedure Run Report is there which is calling report from Report Builder. Both report from builder & form form Builder are compiled . Also query is executing fine in Toad without error. Also all query fields are present in database.
But when I am trying to excute report from Application it is giving error as "REP - 300 Invalid Identifier " & it displays whole query.
Note - Report & it's Form are in ORACLE - 10g. Also the user through which I am executing report from application is ADMIN user , so it has executing permission.looks like error in parameters. check out the value of variable that you are passing through to report from form. Put a messages to see variable values before execute report.
