REP-52006: Failed to decode the specified URL %
Hi all,
i have converted my reports from 6i to 10g and pass the parameters in the URL but when i pass % in variable it gets the following error message
REP-52006: Failed to decode the specified URL %
please anyone know about that problem
thanks
Najeeb
According to RFC 1738, the Uniform Resource Locators Specification:
<p>
<blockquote>
<em>Only alphanumerics [0-9a-zA-Z], the special characters "$-_.+!*'()," [not including the quotes - ed], and reserved characters used for their reserved purposes may be used unencoded within a URL.</em>
</blockquote>
<p>
Try replacing '%' with '%25' (Search the web for information on the topic URL Encoding, for details.)

REP-52284: Failed to get create resource URL from OiD.
Any one using SSO and Reports ever get this error message? I cannot find any relavant information on this error in the documentation ...
Any assistance appreciatedI'm getting the same error:

REP-6102: Failed to start the XML parser.
I have this project that was started using the Reports Wizard, however using a very simplified query. Then I've applied quite a lot of PL/SQL code to pre-process the report data. Eventually everything works fine, and the only thing remaining is to properly format the output. Then I save the project as a JSP, or RDF, or XML, and quits Reports all together.
The next time I open the project everything seems fine Thus I employ the Wizard to format the reports' output, and saves the project again. And quits the application.
The next time I open the project I receive one of two messages; 'REP-6102: Failed to start the XML parser', or 'REP-0002: Unable to retrieve a string from the Report Builder message file'. Then Reports crashes!!!!
This means I cannot complete the report as I'm unable to save and retrieve a completed report. I've tried this with several reports, all with the same result. I've even unstalled all Oracle-sw on my PC and re-installed it several times.
I'm running WinXP, Oracle 9I DS with patch 9.0.2.1 applied.Hello Lasse,
I think you are hitting a known issue, could you please call Support to get the status of this problem.

BMR-SS backup fails with error "the specified network name is no longer available"
We are running DPM 2012 SP1 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 system, backing up a Windows Server 2012 system that is a DC. The agent version is 4.1.3417.0. Both the DPM server and the DC are physical systems - brand new HP Proliant 360's.
When creating the replicas for the 2012 server the first time, the backups work fine, and then for a day or so after that. After a couple of days, the BMR-SS backups fail with the error "the specified network name is no longer available".
I can watch the backup happening in the Windows Server Backup console on the protected server - the BMR backup goes up to 99% and then fails. BMR backups on all the other servers are working - we have a mix of Win2008R2 and Win2012.
Here is what I have tried:
I can connect to the UNC path on the backup server without a problem during and after the backup is happening.
Tried reinstalling the DPM agent.
Tried backing up directly from the protected server to another server's network share, which worked.
I can copy multiple gigabyte files directly from the protected server to the DPM file share without a problem (the same one that DPM uses for the replica)
Tried turning off the SCEP real-time protection during the backup.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
KWllo Boudewijn
I followed Boudewijn's suggestion.
The Windows 2012R2 servers had no recovery partition in disk C. I created one (400MB) following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2930294/en-us and
DPM system restore worked. But just once.
So this is not the solution to the problem......
Is no one else having issues with DPM bare metal protection of Windows 2012R2 servers? -

"Decoding" the Destination URL/IP listed in the in Outgoing Log
Is there any way to translate the Destination URL/IP that is recorded in the Outgoing Log file to an actual URL? I would like to know what the actual website is (trying to make sure my kids are behaving themselves), but I cannot figure out how to take the IP address that is listed (EVERYTHING is listed as an IP - no meaningful URLs at all) and visit it.
Any help on this would be appreciated - thanks!Welcome to the linksys forums. You can go to this website:

Just copy the ip address into the field and it will supply you with information about the website.
Hope this helps, good luck. -
% in parameter form return REP-52006
Hi,
I want to display a report with % in a parameter.
But i receive the message:
REP-52006 FAILED TO DECODE THE SPECIFIED URL %1
In the Report Builder with paper layout, all works fine.
But not with web layout.
Everyone find the solution?
Can someone help me?
There is a patch to fix the problem?
I am using 9iAS 9.0.2.
Thanks a lot,
Lionel.This is a bug which has been fixed in 9.0.2.3, but that patchset has not been released yet to my knowledge. Anyone from Oracle know otherwise???
The bug number is 2534533 -
REP-52006 error (10gR2 base version 10.1.2.0.2)
When I strip the where clause in the forms side and then pass it to the reports, reports issuing the REP-52006 error. it shows bunch of %20 and in one place %22. Can anybody help with this one? I believe %22 is for " but don't know what %20 is for. I have no problem when I pass parameters to reports. It happened when I tried dynamically striping the where clause on the form side and then pass it to the report (so the report can execute it's query with this dynamically passed where clause. P_WC was set at the report side (holds the passed in where clause).
here is the where clause I automatically stripped in form (from LAST_QUERY) that I am passing to the report:
(UPPER(TYPE_MISSION) = 'CAP' and (TYPE_MISSION LIKE 'ca%' or TYPE_MISSION LIKE 'cA%' or TYPE_MISSION LIKE 'Ca%' or TYPE_MISSION LIKE 'CA%')) order by name
and the report error is like this:
REP-52006: Failed to decode the specified URL %22('(%20UPPER(TYPE_MISSION)%20=%20'CAP'%20(TYPE_MISSION%20LIKE%20'ca%'%20or%20TYPE_MISSION......
Any ideas to fix this problem. We are not happy for this forms reports integration issue at all, it supposed to be seamless :( We can not deliver what we think we could to the end users because of reports problems (you don't know until it hits you :)
note: I posted this question to the reports forum. I just want to check to be sure that I did everything that I needed at the forms side. I checked the Metalink note# 264159.1 (I am setting the paramform=no) as indicated in this document. Bug#3442598 status is "Fixed in 10.1.2.0.2" in Metalink. Is this might be another bug ?
Has anyone tried to pass a dynamically stripped where clause from the system.last_query to a report and generated a report successfully? Passing indivudual or group of parameters to reports work fine. I am only having problem with this dynamically stripped where clause.
Thank you

The portal url appears in external links in XML Forms
Hi,
I have created an XML Forms application that should contain a link to an external webpage.
In the Edit view I have created 2 text fields.
1 for the url and 1 urlname for the name of the link.
In the Show view I have created a link (Lable) with:
Hyperlink property: /DataSchema/DataModel/url
Schema Reference: /DataSchema/DataModel/urlName
Style : Function Link
When I run the application It renders the link as a link with the urlname as the name of the link.
Great !! ;0)
<b>...but</b> when clicking on the link it open up a new window with the <b><b><b>portal URL</b> + the specified url:</b></b>
E.g.
Test data:
Name: Google
URL: http://www.google.com
Result:
<b>http://<portalurl>:58000/irj/portal/http://www.google.com</b>
Why does this happen? And what can I do in order to open up the new window with just the url that I have provided (http://www.google.com)
Thanks for any help !
Best regards
RasmusHi All and thanks for all help
But..
The thing is that it has nothing to do with the application.
E.g. I have tested the <b>SAP_APP_FAQs</b> forms application delivered by SAP.
This forms application has an external link called <b>Read more </b>When I test this forms application everything is OK. It opens up the target URL in a new window e.g. <b>http://www.google.com</b>
This is exactly what I want so I make a copy (save as) of the project. I run the application and believe it or not I got the wrong result: <b>http://<portalurl>:58000/irj/portal/http://www.google.com</b>
I have not made any changes of the application!!
Can any tell me whats wrong?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

When i use images in an applet, it shows the image url, how do i remove it?
Ok, so when i open up an applet, and it uses images, it shows the url for each image, which is not good because my graphics could get stolen. Is there anyway to disable this?, i have never noticed it before.
I notice the following from the documentation for one of the [ImageIcon constructors|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/swing/ImageIcon.html#ImageIcon(java.net.URL)]: "Creates an ImageIcon from the specified URL. The image will be preloaded by using MediaTracker to monitor the loaded state of the image. The icon's description is initialized to be a string representation of the URL."
I guess if you are using this - or something similar - Java runtimes might decide to show the string representation of the URL while they are loading the image. In this particular case there is another form of the constructor which allows you to actually set the description string. -
REP-501: Unable to connect to the specified database in Report Server

(DELAY = 5)
This application does not fail in other databases, only in which I have the problem.
The connection to the database through the SQLPLUS and other applications works well. The error is presented only when calling reports from the application.
Another point is that the problem is presented with some users and not with others even they have the same conditions as roles, profiles, grant objects, etc.
If i run my report with the following url applying directly on address bar of web browser then it run fine on web browser
http://hostname.domain:port/reports/rwservlet?report=myreport.jsp&userid=un/pw@db&destype=cache&desformat=PDF
OAS 10g and Database are on different machines.
Please... any idea about this problem?
Thanks!!I use a report object, imagine that sends connect information when creating the Job in the reports server.
However the same problem happens if I call to report from the Internet Explorer with all parameters of connectivity, for example;
http://hostname.domain:port/reports/rwservlet?report=myreport.rep&userid=un/pwdb@&destype=cache&desformat=PDF
The only difference in this database is that it is configured in a RAC and as I mentioned the problem occurs with some users and not with others, even if they are identical.
Thank for your help! -
REP-52005: The specified key userlogin does not exist in the key map file.
Hi,
I am using oracle 11g report server. I am getting the error of REP-52005: The specified key userlogin does not exist in the key map file.
I updated the user_string in cgicmd.dat file. My cgicmd.dat file content is below
; OracleAS Reports Services ;
; CGICMD.DAT ;
; Example CGICMD.DAT Mapping file ;
; Syntax:
; KEY : VALUE
; Where:
; KEY - the first argument of the rwservlet URL request (case sensitive).
; VALUE - command line parameters and/or special parameters.
; Keys can be referenced in the following ways:
; 1. Parameter on command line to the reports servlet
; e.g. http://machine/servlet/rwservlet?KEY
; 2. Parameter on command line to a reports jsp
; e.g. http://machine/mydir/myreport.jsp?KEY
; 3. Within a reports jsp - in the rw:report custom tag
; e.g. <rw:report parameters="KEY">
; In addition to the Reports Server command line parameters, VALUE can include special parameters
; represented as "%X", where X identifies the parameter. Currently recognized special
; parameters:
; %0 - %9 - 0..9 arguments from original rwservlet URL request. Note that %0 refers to the key itself.
; %* - entire contents (all arguments) of original rwservlet URL request.
; %D - request users to input database userid everytime they run the report.
; %P - request for report parameter form in HTML format. It generates the PARAMFORM=HTML
; construction on the first submission of the URL and PARAMFORM=NO upon parameter form submission.
; CGICMD.DAT Usage Notes
; 1. Multiple keys in this file MUST be separated by an EXTRA empty line.
; 2. Extra spaces are ignored. Multi-line entries allowed.
; 3. Lines starting with ";" character are treated as a comments.
; 4. Comments within a key or key value are NOT allowed.
; 5. NLS language support is provided and can be used (encoding should match the one
; used in HTML request - no language conversion of any kind is attempted.
; 6. For %P special parameter, HTML format is by default mapped to the HTMLTABLE format in this release.
; The HTML format in the future may be mapped to the HTMLCSS format.

It shows me the content of the cgicmd.dat file and it also shows my updations. But in the "Parsed Map File Entries" it does not show my key value pair

then for development set
reloadkeymap=yes (same file - rwservlet.properties).
Now it should reload everytime. (otherwise for every change u need to restart oc4j_bi_forms)
