Rep tells me my Duel Xeons not support GTX Titan

i own/use a workstation computer for editing hd video and 2d animation - i don't game. when i purchased the machine a few years ago, a rep at the company told me that my duel xeons would only support quadro based (workstation) cards. i'm looking to upgrade the overall performance of my machine, be it a geforce gtx titan or 600-700 level gpu, or upgrading my processors, but i need to make sure that i indeed CAN switch to geforce from quadro. below are my straight from my invoice.

ALSO, can anyone attest to which is better (on the whole): geforce or quadro?

You system would handle a Titan card but most of the available processing in the card would go unused. The Geforce cards right now have better specs than the Quadros accept for the extremely expensive K6000 which is equal to a Titan. When dealing with the Hardware MPE engine the specs of the cards decide the performance the GPU adds. Nothing specific to the Quadro cards effect the performance in Adobe. Now you can get 10bit color Preview with the Quadros in Adobe and you cant with the Geforce cards. The Geforce cards only support 10bit color via Direct X and Adobe uses Open GL. Beyond that a Geforce card would be far better suited. I would suggest a Geforce GTX760 or GTX770 card. Both would give you the best performance you will see from that system with GPU Acceleration.

In that case the procedure assuming it is a PAYG phone is to get an o2 PAYG sim, put £20 on it and then make a few calls making sure you leave £15 on the sim to pay for the unlock. Then there is an online unlock request form on the o2 site just fill this in. It takes between 1-14 days and you get a message from o2 telling you how to complete the official unlock through iTunes.
I got my o2 unlock in nov 09 so this is not just opinion.

Without any details I'm just guessing, but in most cases with this issue, it's because your iPhone is locked to carrier other than the one for the SIM you're attempting to use. Only the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking so that you can use the iPhone with another carrier.

When I try to open iPhoto it tells me the app. is not supported on this type of Mac when it worked fine before

I tried to open iPhoto just minutes after I was already using it and now it tells me that I "can't open the application "iPhoto.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac". I worked fine earlier and there have been no recent updates that I know of on my computer. Can anyone help.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

My iPod Classic is not syncing to my Mac. When I plug it in, it tells me the servers do not support it or something along those lines. It is an iPod Classic 8g, and I bought it used for 30. Any help????

Today I bought an iPod Classic 8gb for 30 quid. When I bought it (used) of of a friends, it played music fine, I could listen to it, and it worked ok. So I go home to reset it so I can put my account on it, and sync it with all my music I have (I want to use it when I hit the gym instead of using my iPhone), but when I plugges it in and restored it, it finished the restoration but NOW it wont let me sync all of my stuff on to it, and the iPod is completely black. I restored it to Factory settings, it shouldnt be doing this???? When I plug it in , I get an error that says
"The iPod software update server could not be contacted. The server does not support this version of iTunes."
Makes me pretty ticked off, like honestly how ******* old is this ******* iPod???

Perhaps the reason you haven't had any replies is because there is no such thing as an 8GB iPod Classic.

I got the camera kit and plug in my Samsung pl55 camera. The iPad eventually says this accessory is not supported by iPad. a matte camera asks me if ! want to connect the USB to a computer or a printer. I select computer but by then it's too late and everything just sits and nothing happens.

Why does my previously working Firefox Android tell me now it's not supported on Motorolla Admiral?

I have a Motorola Admiral XT603 with Firefox installed, works great. Now second exact same phone, won't install Firefox. Error message says it's not compatible with BOTH my XT603 phones, and won't let me install or update. 2 hours wasted. What am I missing????

The two phones look very similar on the outside. One big difference is this phone is the only phone available to customers wanting Sprint Direct Connect and an Android smart phone. And it's also the only Sprint Android with a mil-spec case. The other phone has less memory (flash and ram) a smaller cpu, and a different GPU.

How do I run the Apple Hardware Test? Its not on my DVD and the Internet-connected version tells me my computer isn't supported!

I have a mini - late 2010 2.4 ghz core 2 duo - that just started black-screen crashing and failing to wake from sleep. Up to a few dasy ago this was a really bulletproof machine! When trying to restart it afer a crash it sometimes emits three weak beeps (sometimes more).
Apart from spontaneous motherboard failure (??) I can only guess that the RAM failed (an 8GB upgrade installed last fall). I pulled one 4GB RAM board and the mini booted again! But it still sometimes fails to wake from sleep, and sometimes give the three beeps. I've run REMBER (a memory test program) on one of the RAM boards and it passes the test. My next step is to test the second one -- but whether it passes or fails there seems to be something else going on.
I'd love to try the Apple Hardware Test but:
- pressing D on startup has no effect (even when starting up with the original install DVD)
- pressing Option-D brings up an Internet-loading screen that brings up a Hardware Test screen then tells me my computer is not supported.
Is the AHT simply unavailable for my model of Mac? And/or is there any way to test my hardware?

The 2010 Mac Mini's came with a 2 DVD set, a Mac OS X Install DVD (22691-6657-A) and an Application DVD (22691-6658 -A). The Apple Hardware Test is on the Application DVD (22691-6658-A).

Says my computer does not support video conferencing?

Just recently whenever i tried to do video chats it tells me my computer does not support video conferencing? How can i fix this?

In the Video Menu open the Connection Doctor and go to the Capabilities tab.
This may give you more info about which things iChat currently thinks it can do and will tell you why It thinks it can not do certain things.
If it says Low Bandwidth against some items you will need to do as Defcom says and alter the Quicktime > Streaming speed (System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming) to 1.5Mbps and restart iChat to see the new Speed.
Also check in iChat menu > Preferences > Video section that the Bandwidth Limit drop down is not set too low. (Ideally here it should be set to NONE unless you are Comcast or Road Runner) Certainly don't use 100kbps.

BT Handset Support... Not supported by Builtin Bluetooth Adaptor?

There's a lot of discussion about this, and I'm still confused.
I've got a brand-spanking new G5 Dual Core machine. Bluetooth is built-in. (Software Version 1.6.6f22, Firmware Version 1.2 (1.4103) ).
Yet, the Helper application for "Set up Bluetooth Device" tell me that "Headsets are not supported on your Bluetooth Hardware".
(Alexander Traud: I know you're just about ready to hit that Reply button and paste in the same helpful instructions you've given everyone else, however it won't work on my machine because I get an error that says, "This Bluetooth device is not supported" when I try to use the Bluetooth Firmware Updater.)
Assume the PRAM has been zapped and the permissions fixed.
So, does this mean that Headsets are supported, they're just not supported by Apple's own Built-in Bluetooth Adaptor?

Are you sure you're running 10.6.8 and not Lion (10.7)? That sounds like what happens when you try to launch a Motorola (G4/G5) app on an Intel system running Lion since they removed the emulation layer.

Device not supported by this Iphone

Before IOS 8 update I could plug a VGA adapter in my iphone and it would connect to a projector to view during meetings. Now my phone tells me the adapter is not supported. Am I missing something on my end?

X7-00: Not supported by PC Suite??

Dear Nokia team, I am very happy with my new X7, BUT... I tried now for three days to get it working with PC Suite. But I had no luck: older versions say that X7 is connected in a "wrong usb mode" and only the camery is recognized, latest version tells me "Your device is not supported"
So please do not force me to use ovi suite.... it is crowded and it gives me not a clean & fast acces and overview on contacts, syncing,... Worse: OVI suite is not allowed to be used in my company, PC Suite is allowed. So what can i do??
Please do not abandone PC Suite!

I'm afraid PC Suite is no longer in development and therefore incompatible with the X7. I guess you could request the administrator to make OVI suite available.
