Repair Error

Hi Gurus, a user of min was running 3 reports from same InfoProvider and they were getting this error message right when they open this reports:
"The following objects were not found when accessing server
Press "Repair" to correct the problem (incorrect parts of the query are automatically deleted"
Press "Cancel" to undo the last action
Missing Objects:
InfoObejcts (here it gives me names of two navigational attributes)
Then here are 2 buttons that says "Repair" "Cancel"
What I should do now?
Please reply as soon as possible.

Thanks Bhanu. Also I figured out that those attributes were used as navigational in dev systems and never been transported to prod.

  • "Your PC needs to be repaired" Error: 0xc0000225 in Win 8.1 Enterprise

I just can't figure this one out.
I had Windows 8.1 Enterprise installed on a UEFI laptop with an after-market SSD. It co-existed with Linux on another partition, and I was able to use Linux's GRUB bootloader to load either of the OS's (or, I could select the Windows bootloader
    in my UEFI settings).
Then, at some point, I started getting blue "Your PC needs to be repaired" screens when I tried to load Windows 8.1.
I've tried going through the boot-repair process from the Win 8.1 Ent DVD (and
also from the Win 8.1 Pro and Win 8.0 Pro, just in case... because Win 8.1 Ent DVD can't repair a Win 8.1 Pro installation,
and vice-versa.. and there's no way to tell which version you have on your DVD or on your PC just by examining the files).
What's strange is that I'm able to install another copy of Win 8.1 Ent to another partition on the drive, and the Windows bootloader detects two other "Windows 8.1"s that it offers
to boot from (so, 3 menu items total, counting the one I just installed), but trying to boot either of the other two just gives me the "Your PC needs to be repaired" 0xc0000225 error.
I can see the original Windows 8.1 partition and all of its files just fine. And the Windows bootloader on the EFI partition is good, or else I wouldn't be able to boot the new Windows install.
Any ideas? How can I figure out which files are missing on the old Windows 8.1 partition?

Here is the way I fixed that problem with one partition (not two like you have).  That error is coming from HP and not windows.  I believe the boot sector or whatever is supposed to be there was corrupted by Windows 10. Because I could press the
bios key and see bootload, efi, and windows files on the disk. but none of them worked.
I fixed this basically like this:
turn on safe mode in bios
change boot order to put USB up front
install Ubuntu from USB thus erasing Windows (If I had a Windows start disk I could have used Windows.  But I found no way to do that from Ubuntu.)
Regarding HP bios, I learned that you press f8, f9, f10, or f11 when you power up the computer to get to the bio screens and escape from the vicious circle of the blue screen with the "your pc needs to be repaired error."  You have to wait until
the blue screen goes to sleep again and repower the computer to switch to another option.  None of those keys will work until you do that.
Also it appears that with the HP Envy Dv7 there is no way to get it to boot from SSD.  So you have to install Windows on a HDD.

  • File is damaged and can't be repaired error

I was at the IRS forms page, downloaded and printed some forms, but when I tried to download and print the instruction and tax chart pages, I began getting 'file is damaged and can't be repaired' error. I upgraded my free Reader to version 9, rebooted the computer, and tried again with the same results. I also deleted my internet (Windows XP) history and temp files (but not the cookies), and that didn't help either. I contacted live help from IRS but agent said he was having no problem getting the files to show up so it's something to do with my system. I tried downloading the files to my computer, but again when I tried to open them, got the same error. What could be wrong?
I did have a window pop up from Adobe during the last print out stating that that page was not going to display properly, but in fact it did, and the very next .pdf file and every one since then has now given an error message so I'm unable to get any more of the .pdf files I need.
Any suggestions or help will be much appreciated...
    AJH

I think I resolved the problem....I had version 5 installed prior to getting the update of version 9 without realizing that both being installed at the same time would interfere with each other. I had assumed the new version would 'overwrite' the old one. I uninstalled everything (both versions) and saw that version 9 indicated AIR in the Add-Remove Programs list. When I rebooted after uninstalling both, I opened the folder on my desktop that version 9 put in there, opened another folder called 'Reader' and installed ONLY the version 9 which now shows in Add-Remove Programs as Adobe Reader 9 instead of AIR and rebooted again. Went back to the IRS site, and am now printing just fine the documents I needed.
I am going to assume that the older version 5 was not able to view and print some of the documents there since the IRS site probably uses updated versions and that it was the source of my problem since even with the newer version 9, I was experiencing the same problem, and not the AIR file I noticed in Add-Remove Programs.
Although no one was responding to me (not your fault since it was only a short time ago that I posted this problem), I am posting my results so anyone else with this problem will know how I resolved it.

  • Time Machine Disk Full and Disk Repair Errors?

I have an external USB drive connected to an iMac that I use for TM backup. I received severel disk is full messages today, and the iMac told me that is was going to delete older backups and that's fine. But, I also have a MacBook backing up through the network (Airport) and that the Macbook was giving me the backup disk is full errors, and now it's saying: Time Machine Error: The backup volume is read only. To select a different volume...etc. And now that error is followed by a Disk Repair error saying the disk needs to be reformatted? Any help would be appreciated.
Message was edited by: Christopher Mackintosh

I'm sorry to see that no one has replied to Christopher in the two months since his post.
After 5 weeks of successful back ups I am now getting this same TM Error followed by Disk Repair error. The first time it happened I moved the sparsebundle and let TM start over. That worked fine and lasted one week, but now the errors are back. Today I tried repairing the sparsebundle in Disk Utility and it too failed with the following:
    Invalid key length
    Volume check failed.
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
The same Airport attached 500GB HD has been receiving TM back-ups from another Mac for over a month with no incidents, and houses my iPhoto library along with a hundred gigs of other stuff.
The other Mac connects exclusively via ethernet. My PowerBook uses ethernet or wifi.
Something with my TM is corrupting the disk image. I'd sure like to figure this out.

  • "The file is damaged and could not be repaired" error when trying to open a PDF in Reader

A few of our employess (only 3 out of over 100 so far) have been getting the error, "The file is damaged and could not be repaired" when trying to open some PDFs. Other people are able to open the same PDF files with no error. It's happening on about 10% of the time. I've read a bunch of threads here with this isue and tried some suggested fixes and nothing has resolved the issue. Here is what I have found works and does not work and the info on their computers:
    Computers:
1 Dell Vostro desktop running WIndows 7
    1 Toshiba Satellite C55 runnign Windows 8
1 Samsung ATIV Book 4 running Windows 8
All using Adobe Reader XI but we did uninstall that version and tried previous versions and still got the error.
    Did Not Work:
As suggested by the company that we use online for claims adjustments where this error is occuring, we tried using a different PDF creator since the files were created using a free PDF creator by the employees. PDF995 and PDFcreator (pdfforge) did not resolve the issue. I then created the PDFs with my Adobe Acrobat, uploaded from my computer to the online program, and that did not resolve the issue.
Saving the file to hard drive and then opening in Adobe did not work.
Turning off Protected Mode and Enhanced Security did not work.
Compatibility View settings enabled in Internet Explorer 10 did not resolve the issue. The previously mentioned claims adjustment software company we use online was code for IE so is not fully compatible with other browsers.
That being said I did try to open the PDF files in Chrome and it also did not work. Same error message.
    Does work:
I download the file they cannot open onto my hard drive, open in Adobe Acrobat, Save as a pdf, then email it to them and they can open it via email attachment.
If they close the error and continue trying to open the file over and over sometimes it will eventually open.
Is there a setting in Windows that is preventing them from opening a small % of files some of the time? Thanks in advance for any help!
    James

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

  • Disk Repair Errors

I generally run the Disk Repair Utility when I install new software due to some software not abiding by the rules. When I did this a few days ago I came up with the following errors:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/Resources/OwnerGroupTool" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Warning: SUID file "usr/bin/lppasswd" has been modified and will not be repaired.
Group differs on "private/etc/cups", should be 0, group is 26.
    Permissions differ on "private/var/spool/cups/cache/rss", should be drwxr-xr-x , they are drwxrwxr-x .
In reading most of the postings regarding this condition, there was some hope that it would be fixed in 10.5.5. This is exactly when the errors occurred for me. As soon as I updated:
    2008-09-17 13:39:38 -0400: Installed "Remote Desktop Client Update" (3.2.2)
2008-09-17 13:39:40 -0400: Installed "Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update" (2.2)
    2008-09-17 13:41:05 -0400: Installed "Mac OS X Update" (10.5.5)
The modification date on the Finder.app is 2008-09-17 13:41:05, same as the 10.5.5 update. Coincidence? Not likely.
The Disk Utility blurb that these are expected did not include the Finder.app error.

    Bruce --
The only real problem here is that the programmers who designed
the Repair Permisions did not have the good sense to just run the
program, and then, when everything is done, simply report
"Repair Completed," or "Everything is A-OK. Nothing to worry about."

  • Disk Repair Error (Time Machine Partition)

For the second time, my Time Machine backup partition reports errors when I try to mount it (exists on my external hard drive via USB).
As soon as I plug in the USB external, I get this error:
    *Disk Repair*
The disk "Backup" was not repairable by this computer. It is being made available to you with limited functionality. You must back up your data and reformat the disk as soon as possible.
I tried looking at it through Disk Utility, and I found "Repair Disk" grayed out, and when I click on "Verify Disk", the output is:
    Verifying volume “Backup”
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Checking multi-linked files.
Incorrect number of file hard links
    Checking Catalog hierarchy.
    Checking Extended Attributes file.
    Incorrect number of Extended Attributes
(It should be 29855 instead of 29853)
Incorrect number of Access Control Lists
(It should be 29855 instead of 29853)
    Checking multi-linked directories.
Incorrect number of directory hard links
    Checking volume bitmap.
    Checking volume information.
The volume Backup needs to be repaired.
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
Its worked fine for about 1.5 months since it did this last. My other partition on the external hard drive has always been fine.
Any ideas on the causes of this, or how to fix this aside from reformatting every 1.5 months?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I've had a very similar problem. When I tried to put Leopard on the first time, it wiped out my hard drive directory... Disk Warrior to the rescue. I then bought a brand new internal SATA drive and an external firewire drive for the back up. I formatted both drives and did a fresh install of Leopard on the internal. So far so good-ish. All other weird Leopard bugs and issues aside for now, I am now getting the error message that my Time Machine backup drive (which has been working fine) is irreparable and needs to be formated as soon as possible.
I have the back up drive partitioned and the non-Time-Machine-backup partition, that is the normal simply-storage partition is working fine. The Verify Disk Permissions, Repair Disk Permissions, and Repair Disk are greyed out in Disk Utility. Here's what I get when I Verify Disk.
    Verifying volume “G5 Backup”
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Invalid catalog record type
    Volume check failed.
Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
    Verifying volume “Scratch”
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Checking multi-linked files.
    Checking Catalog hierarchy.
    Checking Extended Attributes file.
    Checking volume bitmap.
    Checking volume information.
The volume Scratch appears to be OK.
Is a re-format of the back up drive my only option? How did this happen? and How can I prevent this from happening again?
    Thanks!

  • Disc repair error "couldn't unmount disc"

Hello alll! I would very much appreciate any help from anyone!
A few days ago I had reason to believe that I got a virus on my Macbook Pro. My hard drive might have been corrupted. I was unable to turn on my MacBook, with the screen frozen on the opening apple logo for hours. Not being tech-savvy in the slightest, I decided to simply erase my "Macintosh HD" disc in Disk Utility (restarting computer, holding down alt key) and then restore my Macbook with a recent back up that I have on an external hard drive. After erasing my disc, when I try to restore with my backup, my "Macintosh HD" disc doesn't appear. Only the "Repair HD" disk appears. I tried to repair my "Macintosh HD" disk in Disk Utility, but recieved an error message "couldn't unmount disc". What can I do to fix this? A friend told me it could be a hardware problem, perhaps a wire or something is out of place. What do you guys think?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My macbook air (OS x lion ) hard disk got crashed. now it starts with a grey screen and MAC OS X utilities. in the disk utility, the hard disk icon became inactive. when i erased the disk it became active again but i am still not able to partition it. it showed -- "Partition Error". "Couldn't unmount disk". now the disk icon became inactive again. when i click on mount it becomes active again but partioning is not done after many attempts.
another problem: - when it I click to proceed with the installation (still unpartitioned) it verifies my macbook's eligibility and says that the machine information is not with apple. below are the screenshots.
is there any internet issue, i got connected on my institute's wi-fi (excellent speed- 54mbps)

    Hey guys,
I was using my laptop and we had a power failure in the area, my laptop battery was unplugged (it is not working). And when the electricity came back whenever I start my laptop I come into a blue screen with an error message. Your PC needs to be

I unplugged the harddisk and plugged it in to another laptop, wiped the harddisk using (winPE cd) copied the image and applied it using the imagex tool, installed the bcdboot binaries and everything was successful!
I plugged the harddisk back in my laptop and now whenever I start my computer I get this error "the file possibly corrupt. the file header checksum not match the computed checksum"
I would be pleased if you can help me. Thank you

    Hello Bara Tanich,
I think it is hardware issue after the power down.
About the hardware issue, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for help.
Please use another new disk in the laptop and check if it can normally boot to exclude the cause of hardware.
