Repair files message when opening Photoshop Elements 6

Why do I get a message saying files need to be repaired every time I open Elements 6 on my Mac?

If you move the application file to a different location (e.g. your desktop), the application needs to be "repaired" to have support files point to the new location. Usually this repair will remember the new location, but there could be some issues with permissions. But I would simply suggest moving the application file back to the installation location and then creating an alias on your desktop or in the Dock.

"Failed to initialize" error message when installing Photoshop Elements 12

Hi,
I kepe getting an error message when trying to install Photoshop elements 12. I have re-downloaded the files multiple times from different places and none work so I know it isn't a corrupted file. Tried a system restart. Tried using support advisor but it found no issues.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9 on a 2012 Macbook Pro that meets system requirements.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I have gone through the install logs and the error I am getting is 'PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path'. I have gone to the PDApp folder and it does not have any permissions on it. I have gone to the folder PDApp and it doesn't have any permissions, I'm not sure what to do from here. The PDApp folder is a alias that leads to the Adobe Application Managers folder. Sorry for the font being bold, it wouldn't turn off after pasting the error message.

Error reading/writing file message when opening garageband and/or files

I've been recently getting this message when I open garageband and files

I've been in and repaired disk permissions and all that it says it is all fine, reinstall garageband and message still comes up, weird.
not only is garageband being a nuisance, Mac OS X 10.6.2 is being a pain when shutting down telling me to restart the computer. This only happened since upgrading to 10.6. No one as yet knows this promble so I'm gonna have to ring apple and see what is going on here.
and also my other problem is that mac doesn't seem as snappy anymore I noticed this before upgrading to 10.6 and made no difference when "cleanly" installing 10.6. I get a colour wheel popping up and i'm having to wait with simple tasks. iMac only 2 years old.

Blue Screen of Death when opening Photoshop Elements 7, tried 2 different graphics drivers. What sho

So I recently installed Photoshop Elements 7 and it BSOD's right after opening.
I read that graphics drivers can be an issue so I tried two NVidia drivers (The newest and one a few months old). No difference.
The windows event log didn't show anything that stood out except the "was not shut down properly" warnings
I had it installed on the same hardware before but I did a complete reformatting of the hard drive (had virus problems), so hardware isn't likely the issue.
Windows 7 Pro
Intel D525
Nvidia ION2 integrated GPU (latest driver installed)
Samsung Solid State Hard Drive 64gb
Please help? What should I do?

Error message when opening Photoshop...

I keep getting the same error message when I go to open up Photoshop and Illustrator CS4 (don't remember the exact words) but
to this effect: the original application has moved and needs repair..... click to repair....? Anybody got any ideas on this one?

Have You moved the program-folder or some of it’s content possibly unintentionally?

Error Message when using Photoshop Element 9 sending email

I was using Photoshop Element 9 sending email on Windows Live Mail.
It was working perfect.
A week ago, my computer had the problem and need to format and reinstall everything again.
After that, when I used Photoshop Element 9 to send email using Windows Live Mail 2012.
It came up error message in below:
"Elements Organizer could not finish creating your E-mail message.
Alternatively, you can use the Adobe E-mail Service via the Elements Organizer Preferences dialog."
I don't want to use Adobe E-mail Service because it is very limited for email function such as attached another files or change email contents.
Would you please give me some idea how to solve the problem ?

Error 16 message when transferring Photoshop Elements to new Mac. What am I doing wrong?

I am attempting to transfer my licensed copy of Elements to a new iMac. I've copied all the relevant files/folders from the old Applications folder to the new, and on trying to open the program on the new machine receive an Error 16 message (uninstall/reinstall). The original applications was a download, so I don't have an install disk. I'm obviously missing some files - any suggestions? Many thanks for any help!

Air Error Message when opening Photoshop

Hello,
I'm getting an Adobe Air error message when I open Photoshop (on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-Bit), "Adobe Air - The installation of this application is damaged". I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the current release of Air, tried reinstalling an older version of Air, tried deleting Air using the Microsft "Fix It" app and then reinstalling Air, tried deleting all instances of Air including manually removing anything in AppData and then reinstalling Air, tried the Air Zapper script that I found in the Adobe Forums and then reinstalling Air, tried uninstalling both Photoshop and Air and reinstalling but everytime I open Photoshop I receive that error message. Even with Air uninstalled I still receive the error message. It does seem to be happening in only one profile though, Photoshop opens fine in other profiles. I'm open to any suggestions...Thank you in Advance!!!

Error 400 occurs when opening Photoshop Elements 7

I have an older version of PHotoshop Elements 7. I am reinstalling on my computer after an upgrade to Windows 7.
Everytime I open or try to down load updates, I get an error message 400.
What can I do?

Thank you for your response. It has been awhile since I used my PSE7, my computer crashed and I had to reload everything. I had also decided to take a class at a local adult education center and they are teaching 7, which is very outdated. Not sure which Photoshop to upgrade to. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to install Photoshop Elements 13 on a PC with Windows 8.1. I can't run the Adobe Support Advisor because it is no longer available. Can a Adobe expert get in touch? Forums are sometimes not adequate to find solutions.

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and delete/rename the OOBE folder from there.
Then install Adobe application manager from the below link:

Error Message when opening Photoshop CS5: CoreFoundation.dll missing

I downloaded my upgraded version of CS5 yesterday. I am running Windows 7.
I did not have a problem with the download or with accessing it. CS4 is still loaded on my computer.
Toady I started copying plugins and loading actions from CS4 to CS5. All of that went well too. I also tried to open CS4 while CS5 was open (and vice versa) to manually copy my Preference settings to CS5. When either was already open and I tried to open the other version, the other version merely reopened the version that was already opened.
At some point during this transitioning process, I opened up CS5 and received an error message that "The program can't start because the CoreFoundation.dll is missing from your computer..." I searched for this .dll file and found several entries, two of which are in CS4 and CS4 (64 bit).
How do I correct this? What happened? Also, do I need to keep my CS4 versions -- and are they causing the problem?

The 64bit version of CS5 opens perfectly... and when I open this version first, then close it and open the 32 bit version (the one with the problem), the 32 bit version opens the first time without the error. The next time I open it, the error returns.
The 32 bit and 64 bit CS4 versions have these .dll files in them. Would copying one of these files to the CS5 version correct the problem? Should I uninstall and reinstall CS5 all together?

PS Interesting that you mention iTunes. iTunes works fine except I haven't been able to open the iTunes store for two months... and Apple doesn't know why. (They stopped trying a month ago.) Also, one of their techs told me I can't delete Quicktime without damaging iTunes(?)

Fatal Error Message when opening PhotoshopCS4

I am receiving a fatal error message when opening photoshop cs4. "Fatal Error -Missing Component (/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Version Cue CS4/Client/4.0.0/VersionCue.framework" I was recently using the trial version of Photoshop CS5.1 but that trial period has ran out. Now I cannot open my file in CS4. Within that trial period, I also switched from using Snow Leopard to Lion OS. Could anyone shed some light on the issue?! I need to get some work done!
