Repair or reinstall indesign
Hello,
my computer under windows 8 crached and restored a previous version of itself. Indesign is no longer available but seems to be phisically partially present. I tried to resinstall, but the CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe installation program now crashes and I cannot install it any more.
I tried to run the installation programm as an admin but it doesn't work neither.
Any idea ?

I finally made it work
But I unfortunatelly cannot identify exactly the process.
Apparently those action add an impact :
using cc cleaner
deleting C:\Users\<my name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\opm.db file
installing the old application manager ( Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager )
suddendy CCDeskop asked me for my Id while the screen was white before.

I tried to install iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows (64 bit) and it says "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-42404). I have tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling and it still does not work. I then restored my computer to a week ago and tried to download and install the update and this came up again.

iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:

iTunes update 10.5.3 for Win7 64 bit will not install completely and does not recognize iPhone 4s. Error messages indicate components missing, and numerous efforts to repair, uninstall, reinstall have all failed. Error (-42404) is constant; any suggestions?
what if they are turned off? I cannot install iTunes or QuickTime Pro 7 on my WIN7/64 Lenovo W520. ran all the repair cycles uninstalls, reinstalls about 10X each, no luck

There are three steps so make sure you follow all of them. They are:
remove iTunes and everthing related to it
verify everything is really removed
reinstall iTunes. -
When I started up itunes on my PC I get this error: a required itunes component is not installed. please repair or reinstall ituens (-42404). How can I fixed this? I uninstalled it at least 6 times. Not exactly sure what I'm suppose to repair either. It also says it is syncing my ipod but when I go to disconnect/eject my ipod it says that it is unable to disconnect because files are being used in a program. When it finally disconnects there is no music on my ipod. The gym just ***** with out my ipod. Makes it eiser to not go! Someone please help me!

None of the changes I make to system preference or the dock will hold after restart. I've cleared the RAM, run disk repair and reinstalled the OS. Now what?

It is true that the only way to sync your Mac with iCloud is to upgrad. You need to be running OS X Lion 10.7.2 or higher in order to sync your Mac with iCloud. I reinstalled a mac and I need to reinstall Indesign bought as an upgrade. Can I do it with the upgrade directly or do I have to install the former version?
you can install the upgrade without installing the previous version.

just bought a new pc and itunes will not open. I have tried thto repair and reinstall but still no itunes
Best route here is to uninstall iTunes completely using the Windows Control Panel.
Make sure you know exactly which version of Win 7 you're running.
Restart your computer from cold (with no iTunes).
Go to Apple website and download the correct version for your operating system. Install following Apple prompts.
Once installed, close iTunes.
Restart your computer from cold (with new iTunes).
Start iTunes - all should be operating well! Good luck ... -
When reinstalling InDesign 5.5 I get the message that I have an invalid serial number, yet it is the same one listed in my account on the Adobe page. I have already uninstalled the current version, so this is quite disconcerting.

I reinstalled InDesign 6 and it keeps closing as soon as I open it
I reinstalled Indesign CS6 on my reformatted computer. At first it asked me to register the product. I said Not now because it is already registered.
It wouldn't allow me to use it and just closed.
I can't get into the program because it closes right after opening.
According to my personal page it says the product is already registered.
