Can you please guide me abt REPAIR PURCHASE ORDER scenario,and what are the movement types it involves.
Like If I want to send a maintenance material for repairs,how should the reapir procedure work.
Is it possible to create a new movement type for this scenario?

This can be achieved by using either through MM or PM Refurbishment orders
Refurbishment Management:
Firstly, one piece of the spare part with a serial number will be purchased and activated as equipment, and then it will be installed at a functional location.
If it is defective in a technical system, it must be replaced by a functional repairable spare. For this reason, the defective repairable spare is dismantled from the functional location and returned to the warehouse. Meanwhile a functional repairable spare is withdrawn from the warehouse and installed in the functional location.
The maintenance planner will create a refurbishment order. This defective repairable spare will be withdrawn from the warehouse and refurbished.
Process Flow
The following functions are provided to support the Refurbishment scenarios:
1.Serial number management for spare parts
2.Maintenance order for equipment installation and dismantlement
3.Refurbishment order management
4.Stock management for spare parts with different valuation type
Another is MM process
1.Creation of service notification
2.Creation of service order for Maintenance of spare part and material is removed from the plant with returnable gate pass .
3.Delivery of spare part
4.Order completion and service entry sheet and acceptance of service subsequently order completion
5.Order settlement
6.Invoicing Posting
7.close Service notification

I need your help please. A little history....
I have recently took a position at a company as their SAP Admin and quit the consulting world. We go live first of December....While looking at some config, requirements, etc. one of the things I ran into is that there was not a process in place for a delivery order being created for a repair order (Misc PO), STO or for a Sub Contract PO. I spoke with the Purchasing Manager in reference to this; and she said she was never told about a delivery order as an option....I suggested we should have an automated process in place for a repair PO. As the design sits now, the buyer will have to manually take the PO to the shipping department, there is not a delivery order, packing list, etc being created. The functional consultant with the company we have implementing our solution, set up a MISC PO without delivery and did not explain the functionality of a delivery order to them so the company could make a good sound judgement on a process. I then had a meeting with the Purchasing Manager, Functional Consultant, and also his superior. He was then asked to put a process in place and come back with a solution. Well, they did this yesterday (I was out sick). He stated that "since no service master" for the repair process and external operations that it is not possible to create delvery since these PO's are for service; so go with current design." Since the STO and the Sub Contract PO did not have delivery orders either that our company wanted to see a demo on the delicery order process before they say yes.
In my experience you can create a delivery order with the sub con process with an enhancement ...or at least I thought (been a while since I worked with purchasing). Has this changed? Why would I need to set up the Service Master for this (I know it is SAP best practice but all I wanted was a delivery order process), our requirement was not to track every step of the repair on the PO as an operation.....
My question comes down to this. Is the reason I can't use the repair order as a sub con process due to the fact they are using the sub con process for a true sub contract? Can this be set up as two different categories so both could be used? Is there another way to get a delivery order created for a repair po (in this case misc po)? Is there something I need to suggest differently in order to show it is a repair PO versus a true sub contract? I would appreciate some guidance on this that I can pass to the functional consultant....
I just find that not using the delivery order process not very efficient and not to mention placing a manual task for shipping material out to vendor for repair. Hopefully I made this clear.

You need to show purchase cost in some GL account. System recognises GL account through material master or material group with account assignment combination. Without these two you cannot identify to which account postings should happen. Assign a valuation class to a material group in OMWQ and assign a GL account to valuation class in GBB - VBR for automatic picking of GL account in purchase order. However you can overwrite this GL account as per the requirement.

Tolerance limits in Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order
Hi there
I see there is some new functionality in ERP6 to control the price difference between the requisition and the order. According to the documentation one needs to set up a tolerance key and then set the tolerance limits for price price variance. Thereafter one needs to set the tolerance key on the document type. I have looked in the document type and I can't seem to find any place in the config to set up or assign the tolerance key to it. Has anyone tried this and how would I assign the tolerance key to the document type?

My scenario is not the same as in 3rd party processing. In fact my scenario is make to order and even repairs of other companies machinery. Now what we are trying to achieve is lets say in the repair or in production of the customers machinery or service, MM needs to make a purchase for a part or tool etc. That in itself has a price. Meaning our purchase mm dept has to pay the vendor for the purchase made and in return we need to charge our customer for that purchase. So we would like for the price of the purchase order come in our sales order condition type as a surcharge.
We were able to fetch the price of the production order automatically thru condition type EK02.
We would like to do the same from purchase order. -
Fetching the price of the purchase order and charge it in my SO
Dear, gurus
I am doing services mto and even Repair services of customers machinery. I would like to fetch the price incase of purchase order and charge the customer for that purchase in my Sales Order. Is there a way to automatically fetch the price? Or how can I cover this scenario?
Ex: I receive customers machine and in my plant or workshop I do not have the tool needed or a specialist so I hire someone for the job so I buy or rent it or him from a vendor and in return I want to charge my customer for that purchase.
Any Ideas?
P.S. this is not a 3rd party sale scenario its just a simple Sales Order. I was able to fetch the price from the production order with condition type EK02. Is there any condition type for purchase order price fetching?

How did the outcome come out as? meaning did that user exit price fetch appear in a condition type in the billing document? If so which one?
Also, where is the relationship or linkage made from PO to SO? Like how in the world would your sales order know that a purchase order was done. I mean it really is a weird process I mean first the SO should be created then that should trigger the PR and that gets converted to a PO as rightly stated in book terminology. But in this case of first a regular sales order, then out of sap we give our requirement to mm purchasing dept and tell them we need such and such. Once they buy it there is a price which in return we need to charge our customer. Everything can be done manually.
From my own logic of looking at what you described in the user exit. I presume that from abap side they will only pull a table and field data and populate it where I want it?
In the PR there is a place where you can assign acct cat C to the sales order and item line what exactly is this for? GL acct are assigned for which purpose or What is it doing? Also, the purpose of that cost center?

Purchase Order History SES not shown when not accepted
We are working on 2 systems : one is ECC 6.0 and the other is 4.6.
When i create a SES via ML81N and the SES is not released yet : on the 4.6 version, the SES is shown in the purchase order history, while in the ECC 6.0 version, the SES is not shown in the purchase order history. In ECC 6.0, the SES is shown inthe purchase order history tab after the SES has been accepted.

In order to repair already existing inconsistencies, you can use report
RMESSRK2 (from Note 141870 or as of Release 4.6C in development class
ML_TOOLS). However, the report must be modified in the two positions
specified in the attachment.
If you can not find the report RMESSRK2 in transaction SE38
in your system - or in transaction SE80 under the development class
ML_TOOLS, then please copy the program from the attached note
ML_TOOLS into your system and correct the coding according to
note 442091.

Purchase order link to sales order
In account assignment dropdown in purchase order, 'sales order' option is available. Will that link sales order to PO ?
1. Does it mean when material is received, it will be used for assigned to that sales order ?

For third party order, either you can create the material master with item category group as BANS, so the system will automatically pick TAS in the sales order for the material or you can change the item category manually to TAS in the order.
This will trigger a PR, based on the PR a PO will be generated.

I have this requirement: suppose we create a purchase order, and that this PO is posted to a new (or yet existing) fixed asset. We must update the text in the line item of the PO with some information of the asset (new or existing).

Depending on the terms of Purchase order , Vendor will discount it /get
payment from Bank on submitting LC and other necessary documents.
Vendor's Bank, at appropriate Time will send the same to Customer's Bank
How to mapped this scenario in SAP-MM and FI .
Activities required to be updated against Purchase order :
(1) Payment Terms : 100 % against LC on delivery
(2) History should reflect LC opened - Date and Bank Name which
Vendor has suggested, our company's Bank Name
(3) LC discounted details
(4) LC payment due date to our company Bank - as Procurement needs
to inform to Finance for this.

Purchase order and message details
Hi gurus,
We have a requirement of generating a report of how the purchase orders are being sent to vendor.
Is there any table or tables that stores information of a purchase order number and how the message (output type) has been processed to vendor like through what medium it has been sent to vendor.
Example Purchase order 3456 was sent to vendor through fax.
Purchase order 4563 was sent to vendor through paper.
Purchase order 7865 was sent to vendor through EDI.
The transmission medium by which it has been sent to vendor need to be captured by purchasing document.
So gurus, if anyone can advise me of table or relating tables that i can write a query or request abapers to write a custom report, that would be great.

Goto SE16 for NACH and enter the DOCUMENT CONDITION and get te details

When Iam trying to take Purchase Order report,
Fields in PO Report are as follows:
Posting date, Purchase Order number,Vendor Name, Item Name, Qty, Unit Price, Total Price, & Status.
For eg:
PO Num 100 contains 5 Items, Out of which Goods Receipt PO has been raised for 3 Items. and Goods Receipt PO for remaining 2 items have not been raised.
In this case PO status is OPEN.
When iam generating PO Report, It shows Status for all the Items are OPEN. bcoz status for the PO is OPEN.
I want the report to show the status is Closed for the Items for which Goods Receipt PO has been raised. and similarly status must be OPEN for the items for which Goods Receipt PO has not raised. ( PO number is same ).

I have Created new field by going into...................... Path: ToolsUserdefined FieldsManage User defined fieldsmarketing documentsrows.
And i have selected check box set valid values for fields and i have given Open and Close Options.
This is effecting in new Purchase Orders which iam creating from now. But it is not reflecting in Purchase docs which i have created earlier.
So Please let me know what to be done inorder to reflect this change in all Purchase Order Doc's.

PURCHASE ORDER HAS BEEN PREPARED IN JANUARY, DOWN PAYMENT IS MADE IN THE MONTH OF MARCH, MATERIAL IS RECEIVED (GRN MADE) IN AUGUST
IN ABOVE CASE WHEN I GENERATE A OPEN PURCHASE ORDER REPORT AS ON 31.03.2008 IT IS NOT SHOWING ME THE QUANTITY & VALUE DETAILS OF OPEN PURCHASE ORDERS.

Then enter other required detail and click on execute button.
So system give you list of open purchase order.
Then click on change layout button.
Transfer Still to be invoiced (qty) field Column Set to Display column set mode.
And click on continua button.
Duse to this field you can track for how many quantity good receipt is created of purchase order.

Purchase order to payment cycle report
Dear Sir/Madam
We want to have a report on the purchase order to payment cycle.
this includes the following points:
1. Purchase Requisition is raised in the system
2. PO is raised with various line items
3. Advance payment is done against the PO
4. GRN is made for goods delivered
5. Invoice is processed against each GRN
6. Retention is deducted to be paid in future
7. Liquidated damages (LD) is deducted which is treated as miscellaneous income in companys books
8. Payment is made to the vendor
We require the report in such a way which will give the details of each payment against each GRN line item. tracking of the same should be possible.
Do we have any standard report which will help in identifying the purchase order to payment cycle.

It is always a requiremnet to have a report from PO, GR, IV to payment.
But unfortunately, SAP do not have such a report, we develop one locally, the difficult is at payment side.
Several invoices for one vendor has only one payment doc, how to display it need to discuss with end user. -

Due to some other reasons we tried clear GR/IR clearing a/c. i will explain clearly.
We have some purchase orders pertaining to 2006 year. we have not done MIGO and we did MIRO, So that we could not able to clear GR/IR A/C. SO, we have posted manual entry with fb50 same as MIGO posting then we cleared both documents with f-03 its done every thing was fine now But if we see purchase order report status showing OPEN
How to change the status please some one let me know.this is high priority issue.

First make sure that you will not receive goods against your PO..Then go to me22n and delete the item in your PO.
This will resolve your issue.
