Repaired Laptop tracking number wrong

I just received a e-mail from lenovo medion said that they have done the repair on my laptop and shipped back to me.
I was also given a dpd tracking number but it give me nothing but a old record of a pracel of other person several months ago.
I then called lenovo and they told me that i have to wait for 24 hours for dpd to update the data so i waited however after 24 hours nothing changed.
what is wrong here?

You should wait till end of day since the package may get picked up and then updated in system after a while.
UPS and FedEx are pretty good at updating online details and they also take around 8-10 hours, not sure about this service.
Have you made sure thatthe tracking number is correct as per the email you received? Maybe you should call the courier service and ask about your package?
Anyways, I would personally give it one more day before panicking about it.

Repaired Laptop tracking number not found

I sent my laptop to the Lenovo repair center in Texas and as of July 17th it was repaired and shipped back to me.
I was given a fedex tracking number but when I go to track it using the number it said not found.
I called fedex to see what was the problem with the tracking number and the guy I spoke told me that that number is wrong and isn't a tracking number.
I then called Lenovo and talked to this lady who basically told me to just wait for the package to show up, she didn't know why the number wasn't found on fedex and said just to wait.
Seeing as my laptop was just shipped yesterday I have no problem waiting but the fact that the tracking cannot be found on the fedex website bothers me.

Was it a human being that typed the number, or was it an automated email. If the former, I would assume human error. What time was the number sent? Is it possible the machine never really got picked up by FedEx, and it will go out today?

Wrong Tracking Number

I made an order on September 30th and Best Buy sent email confirmation that the order had shipped on October 1st and should be delivered between October 6th and the 10th. When I checked the tracking number this is the message I receive from UPS:
Tracking information for this piece is unavailable at this time. Tracking may take 24-48 hours after your mail piece has shipped.
It's been more than a week and it still says that. Is the tracking number wrong? Did UPS never get my package?

As someone who orders online much more than she should, I know that nine days is a long time to wait for something to arrive. While standard shipping may take up to 7 business days, I'd be wondering where my order might be at this point too, especially if I can't find any reason to believe that it shipped in the first place.

Does anyone know the street address for Apple's repair center in Memphis, TN? I sent my 2010 MBP for display problems but didnt write down the FedEx tracking number.

I was an idiot and lost the tracking number for my package that was goin to Memphis to be fixed and of course the package supposedly still hasn't arrived after being sent 3 day ago an was overnighted. I'm pretty sure it's goin to Flextronics but for FedEx to track it they need the street address. All I have is the zip code of 38134. Thanks for the help.

Spotify plays wrong song (usually equivalent track number from subsequent album)

Description
Whenever I try to play a song, spotify will play the equivilant track number from the next album down, and to play the song I want to I have to play the equivilant track number from the preceeding album.
A more detailed description, using numbered steps
1. Tried to play the song I wanted to listen to (e.g. Bohemian Rhapsody on CD1 of the Queen Platinum collection) by double clicking or pressing enter button
2. Song on the next album plays instead (One Vison on CD1 of Live at Wembly Stadium)
3. To get original song to play I have to play the equivilant track number from the preceeding album (track 1 - Intro from Queen Rock Montreal)
What I expected to happen
I expected the song I wanted to play... to play
What actually happened
The song on the next album played (same track number, same CD number, next album down)

I have the same issue. Also, when playing songs from "Popular" it plays the equivalent track number on the first album.
This seems to occur on the first album I play when starting Spotify. Going to another album resolves the issue and going back it's working as intended again.
Are you storing info from last played artist/album on shutdown and restoring it upon startup? Somehow the index on track-collections of last played artist seems to be +1 on startup.

How do i get a tracking number for my shipment

Apple always sends a pre-paid shipping box. The tracking number is on the label. If you were not dealing with Apple, then you can contact whomever you shipped the phone to.
These are user forums. You are not speaking to Apple here. If you shipped to Apple then you can call them directly or you can contact the shipper for help, but we can't really help you.

Call AppleCare with your case number, and ask when it will actually be sent out for shipping, and when you can get a tracking number. This is just a user to user forum.

Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3

I have purchase a Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3 back on late 2007 by on 03/12 , 06/20, 11/25/08 and on 4/20/09 this laptop has being at the repair shop, has any one else having trouble this king of problem. I was told I may receive the laptop back some time after may 24, 2009 if they get the parts in. what can I do with this problem, Florida law has the lemon law and this loptop falls in this category. My last toshiba laptop lasted 5 years before it die. I do like toshiba over all, but this one has be thinking in what to do. Need help in what to do!!!

The first time it wend down it wouldn't boot up, and both video card replace. the second time was it was the both video cards, mother board and the screen, The third time they replace the mother board and both video cards. and now it looks like is both video card. one USB port quit working. and the computer wont boot-up and give you the three bips of death. They toll me I may get that maybe by May 24th they will get the video card, The only thing I want from toshiba is to give me back the days that the laptop stay their waiting for repair, on my waranty. Or replace the bloody thing. They told me they can't do anything becouse I send it to a authorice repair depot and not to their repair depot. They know that the laptop has gone to a representative repair depot, since the gave auto repair number.

BAD SUPER BLOCK: MAGIC NUMBER WRONG

My Mac mini started playing up a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was the attached firewire drives, but it looks like a problem on the hard disk. I've been trying to fix this and I need help!
- I tried to restore leopard - only to find my leopard install disc is corrupt. I tried to make a copy with toast, but that failed, a couple of times
- So I've tried to use disk utility. I try to repair the volume. It gets to 'Checking Catalog file'. Then it gives the messages:
Invalid Key length
Volume check failed
Eror: Filesystem verify or repair failed.
- Then, booting from another leopard disk (for another machine, so I can't install from it), I've been running fsck. It says it can't the superblock, when I make suggestions I get the above message 'Bad super block': magic number wrong'. Any idea where there might be another valid copy of the superblock?
So, I'm a bit stuck. It's really annoying that the leopard disk that I bought doesn't copy and doesn't install.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

How to Make a Non-Commercial DVD copy of MAC OS X Leopard
Making a DVD Image 
Step1. Insert the retail Mac OS X Install DVD into your drive. 
Step 2. Launch Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities). 
Step 3. In Disk Utility, you will notice a white pane on the left hand side. In the pane, select the Mac OS X Install DVD by clicking on it once. 
Step 4. Click New Image on the Disk Utility toolbar. 
Step 5. A dialog box will appear. Give the new image a name. I used 'Mac OS X Install DVD'. Select the destination where you wish to save it. Leave Image Format at Compressed (default) and Encryption at None (default). 
Step 6. Click Save to begin creating the image. 
Step 7. Once your image has been created DO NOT mount it. Leave the image alone and proceed to the next section.
  Burning the Image
 Step 1. Launch Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities). 
Step 2. Click Burn on the Disk Utility toolbar (upper left). 
Step 3. Navigate to where you saved the DVD image created in the previous section. Click on the image file, then click the Burn button. Do not drag and drop the image file into Disk Utility during this step. 
Step4. Insert a DVD when prompted and proceed to Burn it. (use good quality media) Using these exact steps I was successfully able to create a personal backup copy of Mac OS X Leopard. I hope this tutorial helps.

Need order status and tracking number please

Long story short, I need an accurate order status and an actual UPS tracking number for my order please.
Lenovo phone support has been unavailable since yesterday, and I've spent over 12 hours on hold on the webchat so far.
I ordered a Yoga 2 Pro on Feb 5th. On Feb 11th I received a shipping notice that my order had shipped on Feb 10th. The tracking number provided is a 10-digit UPS reference number that I cannot find on the website (even when searching by reference number).
On Feb 12th, the online order status page changed to indicate that my order was delivered on Feb 11th. This is not the case, as I have yet to receive my order.
Can someone from Lenovo staff please help?

Well, I have received my laptop in the meantime, despite not having a tracking number.

Called Verizon about my 128GB 6+ Space Gray...got a tracking number?!?

After all the various, conflicting reports detailed in my other thread, I figured I'd make one more call to Verizon's consumer sales line (800-256-4646) just now and see if they could give me the status. Much to my surprise (and disbelief), they said my 128GB 6+ Space Gray was shipping out and will arrive Friday, 9/19. I asked for a tracking number, and very much to my surprise they gave me one. And even more to my surprise, it was real, and showed up on FedEx's site.
I'm still a little hesitant to actually believe this. My credit card has not been charged (or authorized), and I asked the customer service rep on the phone about this and they said this was entered as a 'future ship' and it will probably get billed soon. The online order status tracker still says 'Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.'
My disbelief stems a bit from 5 separate phone calls, all telling me something from this grab-bag of responses:
The 9/19 date was a mistake
The 9/19 date was just an estimate and it would actually ship 10/14 due to the high demand
The order will definitely arrive 9/19
The order will most definitely arrive 10/7
The order was scheduled to arrive 9/19, the date got changed to 10/14, but it was escalated to get corrected to 9/19
The order will definitely arrive 9/19, and I'll get text confirming that. The text message contained an order number with the wrong number of digits and was not searchable via the order status tool.
I also received a Twitter response from @vzwsupport indicating that it will definitely arrive 9/19, and a direct message on here indicating that the Twitter message was wrong and the order would definitely arrive on 10/7.
I'm not quite sure why Verizon can't seem to get their customer service reps on the same page the past three days. They would have far fewer angry customers if they would all give them the same, reliable answer, one way or the other, about the current status of their phone. But as it stands, even with a tracking number in hand, I'm still hesitant to actually believe them. If you're currently waiting on a 6+ 128GB that was confirmed in the email to arrive 9/19, give them a call and see if you actually get a tracking number as well. My tracking number ends in 2777, post the last four digits of your number to make sure they aren't just handing out the same number to get me to stop calling

I did, however, get onto chat and this is the (expected) response:
"Ok it looks like it is still processing. if you do not get an email later on today, Please contact Customer Services at 1-800-922-0204. They're open 6am to 11pm EST, and they will be able to look into that to see why it is taking a bit."

My tracking number was actually UPS, even though Verizon said Fedex

I never received my shipping email so I called Verizon *611 and they said it had already been shipped. They sent me a text with a Fedex tracking number. I tried the number a couple times last night but it kept coming up as invalid on the Fedex site. I copied the number to my iPad notepad to check again this morning. I opened up my notepad this a.m., long press to copy the number and a little button appears above that says " track shipment". I think how cool is that, it recognizes it as a tracking number. So I press the button and it takes me the UPS page. Then I'm thinking not cool, wrong site. But low and behold tracking info pops up. My tracking number starts with 1Z... Which I think is UPS format not Fedex. So for those you who get invalid when you try your number in Fedex, try inputting your number at UPS if it starts with 1Z.
I do not have a delivery date, but it says arrival scan Ontario, CA which is about 15 min away from me. I'm going to call them and see if I can just pick it up.

I know they are using two carriers. This is the text message I received after calling *611:
VZW FREE MSG: Equipment for xxx-xxx-xxxx has been shipped. To track go
To Fedex.com and enter tracking #1Zxxxxxxxxxxx.
What I'm saying is that in my message they sent me to Fedex.com when it was actually a UPS shipment..

No Tracking number on Recovery disc software

Aloha all,
I've ordered recovery software for my computer, and I haven't been provided with a tracking number.
I chose the basic shipping option of Postal service and I just want to know if this is normal when just ordering recovery software.
If anything, I want to know if my package arrived safely, and I want to know the progress of where it is.
I also want to know if the basic postal delivery method is through UPS or through the mail that will deliver it directly to my mailbox.
I apologize if this is in the wrong category, but I just want to make sure everything is alright with my order.

No one will be able to answer your questions here on behalf of HP.
When I have purchased recovery disks for my HP PC's, they have always e-mailed me an order confirmation number, and then another e-mail when the recovery disks were shipped. No other info was provided to me.
They have always come by first class mail with no tracking number or delivery confirmation.

Got no Tracking Number for my sent back iPhone

I just visited this site and I`m not sure if I'm right in this place.
I just sent my defect iPhone to the support, and now i got the notification, that my repaired
phone was sent back.
The problem is, that there's no UPS Tracking Number linked to this, so I can't follow the progress

Call Apple Support and discuss the issue with them. That's the only way you're going to be able to get a tracking number, assuming they can provide one.

Song and Artist Info missing under itunes but not in the original file, and putting track number next to certian songs. Help

i recently updated my itunes...today i opened it up and moticed abuout 100 songs missing...they are now at the bottom of itunes song list with a number next to them with information mission such as this the example below
01 human                                                                 (this song should have the killers name as artist and cd title, etc)
01 hosanna     hillsong united                                 (this song should have the cd title to it)
02 lay me down                                          burning light
02 leave out all the rest
02 let it be                       the beatles
03 papercut
when i go under the original folders and files in the itunes folder everything is normal no missing info, etc. but under itunes orgnising its picking and choosing the same songs and putting the track number next to it and others songs in the same cd not. plus info missing. under the infor when i click right button all info missing there...but not under original file.

A response on this subject from another post:
It could be that you have inadvertently imported these CDs into iTunes as part of a compilation. If so, the artists won't show in the artists menu on the iPod.
To check, highlight the tracks on one of the offending artists CDs in iTunes, right click and select "get info". This brings up a multiple song info window, and from there you can check if you have 'yes' in the box marked "part of a compilation".
If you have, select 'no' instead and click 'ok'. Do this with any CD that has this issue. This will alter the info in iTunes, and you should then connect your iPod and synchronize the changes.
The problem arises because the information contained on the Gracenote CD Data Base (where iTunes gets all it's album/artist/track info from), is sometimes incorrect. It can show CDs as compilations when in fact they are not.
