REPEAT ALERT desperately needed for missed phone calls

There are apparently many people out there like me who need a phone that functions like a pager - that is, repeatedly "beeping" or alerting you of an unanswered call or message (and maybe even selectively identifying WHICH incoming numbers would trigger a repeat alert).
I can't realistically keep visually checking the phone to see if an emergency message is there. HELP!

  • Why do we have to spend $39 for a phone call if Adobe has made an error with your account ?

Have new computer with win8, cannot transfer with seral numbers, in my account there is no history of purchases of elements9  and premier elements 9. I refuse to spend money for a phone call for the error on my statement that leaves out the purchase order number not allowing me to download with a missing link.

Perhaps you will be kind enough to state your problem here so that volunteers can help you out.  We can't help you with lost serial numbers or activations on multiple machines; otherwise most problems can be addressed and if there is no solution we'll say so.

  • Can I use Magic Jack for BOTH phone calls and Fax. Is Magic jack PLUS BETTER.

I am using the Magic Jack for regular phone calls. Now, I want to use it for Faxing in and out - on Windows - on a wireless connection to my Officejet 8600 Pro Plus. I see a lot of problems in the forum. Is it easier to buy and use the new Magi Jack PRO. AND. PLEASE, Does anyone have instructions for the installation and use?

I'm going to be up front and straight forward with you.  Magic Jack, does not work with faxing 90% of the time.  It's not designed to.  That being said, you still have to have a phone line plugged into the printer to fax.  There is no such thing as wireless faxing.  There is internet faxing, through companies such as eFax, and you can use eFax wirelessly form the front panel of select printers.  The 8600 is not one of those printers though.  The printers that include the eFax app are in the PhotoSmart line.  Now that you know all of that, you can try to get faxing to work with magic jack, but it' most likely not going to work.  Here is a list of the things you can try:
Fist make sure you have a DSL/Digital filter installed in the line.  Next, set the fax speed to slow.  You can find steps in this document that will help with that.  Last make sure the ECM (Error Correction Mode) is off.  To turn off the ECM:
From the home screen, touch the right arrow.
    Touch setup.
    Touch fax setup.
    Touch advanced fax setup.
    Scroll down to ECM.
    Touch ECM.
    Touch off.
    Touch the home button.
That's about all you can do to get it to work, and even then it's not guaranteed at all.  Like I said, Magic Jack does not work with faxing.

  • Receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls

For the past several weeks I have been receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls on my iOS devices that were never actually placed by the other party.
I talk to this other person using FaceTime on a regular basis, but ..
my iOS devices or my Mac never give me an indication on an incoming call
the other person never actually places a call at that time
I usually find out a few minutes later when checking my iPhone that there was a missed FaceTime Audio call (always Audio calls). I iMessage the person back and get told they never tried calling at that specific time.
By now I advised them to change their iCloud password ('cause I'm paranoid), which they did, but it still keeps happening.
Is this some kind of glitch with FaceTime/iOS? Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
All my devices run the latest software updates <iOS 8.1.3(12B466) on an iPhone 5s>.
    Regards,
    Tom

I am having this same issue. I have noticed that the "missed facetime audio" occurs at the same time that I receive any regular cell call.

  • How can I forward missed phone calls ios7

On my iPhone 5 running ios 6 I could forward missed phone calls to my assistant to call back.  I cannot figure out how to simply forward in ios 7.  I have to write the numbers down then either text or email.  Does anyone know how to forward in ios 7?

You could go to the missed call list and tap the "!" beside a missed call and then share near the bottom of the screen and forward that you your assistant with a message

  • Custom Folders For Received Missed Phone Calls

I am trying to set up individual folders that can be placed on the main screen for the following:
    -Missed Calls
    -Received Calls
I can create a folder, but can not figure out a way to isolate the call data from my mailbox folder. I do not want phone calls in my mail folder. Also I would love to have some type of icon on the folders. Is there anyway to do this?
    Thanks

I understood the question, and I thought I answered that.
    Options:
1--You can see ONLY the call log by opening your Messages folder and pressing Alt + P
2--You can see ONLY your missed calls by opening your Messages folder > Menu > View Folder > Missed Calls
3--You can disable your missed calls from your Messages folder by pressing the Green phone dial key to enter the Call Log > Menu > Call Logging  = None. (this does not disable #s 1 and 2).
I do not know of a what to view ONLY the missed calls in one folder on your home screen.
    Someone else might.

  • Over Charged for One phone call??

Was charged over $400.00 for one (1) phone call while in port on a cruise ship. Was told that although no data was used/received or seen that the phone was roaming while using that call and am being charged for roaming.  How do you make a call without turning on your phone?? This is outrageous!! Very upsetting from a Company that we have done business with for over 25 years!!!! Maybe we need to switch to another service that includes Global with their packages??

Data isn't used for calls anyway. Most cruise ships aren't covered with global plans because they have their own tower on the ship and set their own rates. If you made a call and the ship's tower was still on (they supposedly turn them off when the ship is close to the port), you would be using the ship's signal as that one would be the strongest. In other words,  even if it was a domestic port the ship's tower would supersede any local towers. If you made the call then the bill will probably stick.  You also say the phone wasn't turned on, so I don't actually know what the situation was.

You should probably also buy from an Apple Retail  store or apple.com/uk to ensure you buy the genuine item
and as you say you are in the UK this the link to the UK Apple site ,not the US one that is not much use to you

  • System processes needed for web service call

    Hi experts,
one theoretical question: how about the system processes needed for a web service call? If have created a test service that does nothing except to wait for 10 seconds. When I call it from outside, no extra process is busy (as seen in trx SM50). Is it possible that one web service call (from outside -> SAP machine) does not need a DIA or BTC process on SAP machine?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Kind regards, Matthias

    Hi,
Of course a web service needs a dialog workprocess to run.
But if you used the "wait" abap instruction, it may be that this instruction frees the work process ?

  • Repeating Alerts from UDF for same error (message ID)

    Hi Experts,
We have created a UDF that validates and incoming message and triggeres an alert if the validation rules are not met. The problem is that we are receiving several alerts for the same error (message ID), even after setting the "Max. No. Of Dels" option on the Alert Category in transaction ALRTCATDEF. It wasn't necessary to create a alert rule for this in the RWB because the alert is triggered directly inside the UDF. The max number of retries on the SOAP adapter has also been set to 1 but we are still getting repeating alerts for the same error (message ID).
If someone has encountered a similar problem in the past, please can you share the solution?
    Thanks and regards,
    Brendon

    Hi,
If my understanding is not wrong, you are getting multiple alert for Mapping failure in UDF.
then I advice you not to change any Retry parameter for IServer or specific  adapter as well.
the RWB -> Supress option will help, in case where a mail message reached  Inbox, and further same incoming alert messageID
                       will be Supressed
    Regards,
    Ashutosh

  • Missing phone calls, no ringtone since installing ois7

After installing oi7, I have no ring tone.  I am missing my phone calls.

You can try restoring the phone but if that doesn't work I would check the updates frequently till they come out with another update. I've herd many of my friends with some what the same problem but not as sever as yours.

  • Won't wake up for a phone call

My phone will not wake up when I get a call. The ringer is on and works perfectly if it is not in sleep mode. What's funny is it will wake up about two minutes after the call to tell me that I've missed a call.... just not wake up to ring. Any suggestions?

Is this true in multiple locations? I bad reception area can easily have the same effect.
If not try both of these things...
    1. Reboot the phone the phone.
    2. Make sure you don't have too many Safari windows open (I would say less then 4)
    Good Luck.
