Repeat Last Command? (Equivalent to F4 in Powerpoint?)

Hello, I am an advanced user of Keynote '09. I have the following shortcut/hotkey question:
Is there a short cut to repeat the last command you did? In all Microsoft Office programs, if you hit the F4 key, it will repeat whatever function you last did...
Just wondering if something like this exists in Keynote (if it doesn't, then it ought to be developed for the next release!)

  • FEATURE REQUEST: repeat last command

    Hi to all!
many times you need to repeat the last command, example: in the Table, if you need add 5 row between two rows, with mouse you must repeat five times "Add row..". This is very very AND very boring!
Please, "remember" to insert this feature.
    Regards..

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Definitely follow Niel's advice & leave feedback for the Pages team. In the meantime, did you know that you can insert multiple rows or columns at a time? Select the number of existing rows that equal how many you want to add & then right-click or use the Edit menu & choose add rows (above or below). Same applies for columns. This picture is from numbers, but tables in Pages work the same way.

  • Is there a "Repeat last command" in Acrobat X Pro

Thank you for reading this post!
I have this pdf file that I would like to edit. The goal is to remove some objects and footers in the pdf file.
Instead of repeating the same "Edit Object" -> "Delete" by hand, I was wondering if there is a shortkey that would allow
me to repeat the last action command?
    Thank you in advance!
    Eric

Open the Security pane of System Preferences and check the box to require the password to wake from sleep or screen saver. In the Desktop & Screen Saver pane, set up the screen saver to activate when the mouse is at a specific corner. The screen saver can be unlocked with the password of the person who is logged in to the machine or with any administrator password.

  • Repeat last command with enter key in dbx

I am using dbx 7.7 on Solaris 10 (Sun Studio 12.1). Is it possible to configure dbx so that pressing the <enter> key will always repeat the previos command? for instance, if i do one "next" command, i want consequent <enter> key-presses to do "next", until i explicitly execute a different command.
    Thanks,
    Yael

    Hello Jean,
Thanks for this advice, i started working with dbxtool and it's very nice.
    2 questions:
    1. The Function keys (F7, F8, etc.) don't work, any idea what could be the problem? There is a bug in the dbx cmdio window where it ignores F-key. It doesn't even have
a decent context menu. You should be able to get F7 etc working by moving the
focus elsewhere, like the editor window.
    2. In the default .dbxrc file there's a line "button ignore step up" to "add `step up' button to GUI", but no button was added. Is there anything else i should do to make this work?
These are really old. (we should remove them from the default .dbxrc!)
The current way to add a button is via Debug->NewDbxButton
    Thanks,

  • Illustrator CS6 repeat last action command in hungarian version

In the hungarian version of the Adobe Illustrator CS6 I cannot find the ctrl+D as repeat last action.
I cannot even find the repeat last action (... again) anywhere.
No keyboard shortcut for this command, and no traces of it anywhere.

Try using copy and paste attributes.

  • Why the step-and-repeat function (command+d) isn't working in Illustrator CS5?

Why the step-and-repeat function (command+d) isn't working in Illustrator CS5?
I am trying this. Take an object, move it some inches on the right while holding the option key, so I duplicate it.
Usually, I pressed on command+d to duplicate this action on and on (duplicate the object and moving it some inches away), but now it is not working.
    any idea?

    kwakoo,
It may be time for the list:
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/preference-file-location-illustrator.html
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

  • How do I repeat a command in numbers?

Excel has the capability to repeat and undo a command.  It appears Numbers can only undo a command (CMD-z).  Does Numbers have the capbility to repeat a command?

Undo applies to (almost) any action, not just commands.
Its opposite, Re-do (shift-command-Z) applies only to something that has been Undone.
Numbers has no equivalent to Excel's Repeat feature.
Feature enhancement request may be made via Provide Numbers Feedback, found in the Numbers menu.

  • In MS Office, F4 repeats previous command.  How do I do that in Numbers?

Ok--one of the most useful keyboard shortcuts I took advantage of when I had MS Excel was the F4 button, which repeats previous command.  It worked for just about any command.
Is there an equivalent command in Numbers?

    Corim,
No, no such command in Numbers. Just remember what you just did and do it again.

  • Repeat Last Action?

I'm fairly new to FM9 and am wondering if this feature exists already (and I just don't know about it). Coming from MS Word, it has a great "repeat last action" function hooked up to the F4 key. As I've been selecting text in FM and applying a character tag over & over again, I began to wonder if there was a faster way. I used to use the pod to begin with, but now have resorted to just right-clicking to navigate to the character tags. A "repeat last action" would be great in this case.

Not quite, but useful for your request:
    * Tap and release these keys in sequence:
    - Escape c c (lowercase c) repeat last font command
    - Escape j j (lowercase j) repeat last paragraph command

  • How to know last command used in solaris

    Dear Friends,
We have a Solaris 8 server. Someone changed ownership of files. Is there any way to find out who logged in the server & changed ownership ? ?
last command is not giving much information . Since /var/adm/lastlog is in binary format I am not able to read it's contents.

You can also check the history of a particular user. By instance, if it use bash, check this file :
    ~/.bash_historyand check his :
    ~/bash_loginand :
~/.bashrcbecause he has perhaps some special feature, like to set his history in an other file by instance.

  • Output of last command NOT accurate

    Hi,
We have Solaris 10 Server running Oracle 10g. when i run last command it shows upto "Mar 21" and today is "May 12". But I see wtmpx being updated properly, Please advise as to how to fix this issue.
    #last |more
oracle    sshd         enter            Sun Mar 21 12:32   still logged in
    oracle    pts/1        enter            Sat Mar 20 20:18 - 20:26  (00:08)
    oracle    sshd         enter            Sat Mar 20 20:18 - 20:26  (00:08)
    dev       pts/1        192.168.116.5    Sat Mar 20 09:46 - 09:50  (00:04)

IIRC this happens when wtmpx grows to large, you can fix it by, as you did, nullify the old files, or move them aside if you would be interested in using them at a later stage..

  • How to Identify Last  Command Issued by user??

    Hi Everybody,
I need to create a form in which the current state of the form depends upon the last command issued by the user.
Suppose if user clicks 'delete record' or 'insert record' or 'enter-query' or something else.
So, how to identify the last event executed by the user.
    Any suggestions...
    Thx in advance,
    Raj

You can write something into a Form parameter in the POST-INSERT/UPDATE/Query triggers.
Then you can check the value of this parameter when needed.

  • Could not complete the last command : problem with toast 10

Hi, I am trying to burn blu ray content with Toast 10 Pro (blu-ray content burned to DVD). I have created the content (Quick Time movie) with FCP 7 (into an MOV file). And then added it to Toast 10. Then I tried to create disk image. It gave me this error:
could not complete the last command because there is a problem with the source material: Error code - 18771.
I tried to directly burn DVD also, and also not successful. Anybody has the same error and how to solve it?
Thanks a lot, and happy new year.

I posted some more experiences with using TOAST on Roxio forum. I thought I'd share them here.
    1. 98 video clip limit. I have been helping my parents and some friends to produce un-edited videos after their vacations, etc. And I quickly ran into this 98 video clip limit, to the point I had to produce multiple DVDs for them.
    2. Error 18771 issue. This happens if the individual video clips are too long. If I edit the video using FCP or FCE, and produce, say, half an hour of video, put it into a MOV file. Then add it into Toast. It will encounter this issue. So, the way I dealt with it, was to produce shorter video clips. So far it has been working out for me.
    3. Between video clips, I am not sure how to do transition. So far, between clips, there is this annoying pause. I would rather, either it just immediately jump to the next clip. Or, out of my own choice, insert some kind of transition. Not sure how to do that. If fellow toast users can point me in the right direction, that will be certainly appreciate it.
    4. I have not been able to get the Chapter Markers from FCP to effectively show up and be reflected in Toast as it defines the menus and chapters. Again, this may be because of my own lack of knowledge. If somebody can give me the pointer to do it, again, very much obliged.

    User Commands last(1)
    NAME
last - display login and logout information about users and
    terminals
    SYNOPSIS
    last [ -a ] [ -n number | -number ] [  -f filename  ] [
    name | tty ] ...
    DESCRIPTION
The last command looks in the /var/adm/wtmpx file, which
records all logins and logouts, for information about a
user, a terminal, or any group of users and terminals. Argu-
ments specify names of users or terminals of interest. If
multiple arguments are given, the information applicable to
any of the arguments is printed. For example, last root con-
sole lists all of root's sessions, as well as all sessions
on the console terminal. last displays the sessions of the
specified users and terminals, most recent first, indicating
the times at which the session began, the duration of the
session, and the terminal on which the session took place.
last also indicates whether the session is continuing or was
    cut short by a reboot.
The pseudo-user reboot logs in when the system reboots.
    Thus,
    last reboot
will give an indication of mean time between reboots.
last with no arguments displays a record of all logins and
    logouts, in reverse order.
If last is interrupted, it indicates how far the search has
progressed in /var/adm/wtmpx. If interrupted with a quit
signal (generated by a CTRL-\), last indicates how far the
search has progressed, and then continues the search.
    OPTIONS
    The following options are supported:
-a Displays the hostname in the last column.
    -f filename
Uses filename as the name of the accounting file
    instead of /var/adm/wtmpx.
    -n number|-number
Limits the number of entries displayed to that speci-
fied by number. These options are identical; the -
number option is provided as a transition tool only
