Repeat the delta

Hi,
Our request is failed due to bad record in master data. It is cost center allocation datasource (CCA_9).
Data Source(CCA_9) > Cube (no psa in between).
I want to follow the following step to repeat the delta, Is that correct >
1. go to Manage tab of cube select request in change the QM status to "not Ok" red
2. Do I have to delete the request ( I am not sure this one because our request don't come through PSA)
3.Do I have to make QM Status red in RSMO monitor screen status tab also ?
4. go to infopackage and start the delta load again
5. It will ask popu to repeat the delta.
Please, Answer 2 and 3 steps..It really urgent production problem.

Hello Manas,
Yes, you have to delete the request from the InfoCube.
The 5 steps which you decribed are correct and sufficient. You do not have to do anything in RSA7.

How to repeat the last 2 request via delta?

Hi,
I have loaded data into a DSO from R/3. After that I loaded further into an other DSO, but it was inconsistent and it could not have activated it. So the last 2 Request in the 2. DSO were bad, I set the request to "red", deleted them, and now I want to reload them again (from the change log table of the first DSO). When I make a delta repeat, the system loads only the last one request.
What should I do?

Hi Joe,
in such cases I do the following:
1. delete all requests you want to reload in the second DSO
2. reset the datamart status in the first DSO for the latest request by clicking on the "where used" button at the end of the line
3. reset the datamart status in the first DSO for the older request in the same way.
if there are more requests you have to do this for each request you want to reload. Attention: if there are requests which were activated together so they have the same activation request number (collum "PSA request number generated when request is activated") the datamart status will be reset for these requests in one step.
4. press the refresh button and check if the datamart status is reset for all requests you want to repeat.
5. load delta from first to second DSO. This delta will contain each request which is not marked with to "where used" icon. You can check this for your DTP in the monitor under header -> selections. There should be both requids (if you're usind old update rules you can check it also in RSMO under details -> databasis)

How to delete the delta queue in the ECC

After I tryed to save a new Infopackage and I have the error :
(Deltas already loaded for request REQU_41Q82WJLR9AZCE9ZMKQLVG3RG init. selection; no 2. init
Message no. RSM1071
Diagnosis
Deltas have already been loaded for the init. selection of request REQU_41Q82WJLR9AZCE9ZMKQLVG3RG. A second initialization is therefore not possible with these selection conditions.
Procedure
If you want to carry out a new initialization, you have to choose selections that do not overlap.
If you want to repeat the init. for the same selection, you have to delete the delta queue in the source system, and restart the delta process.
As the error says - Deltas have already been loaded for the init. selection.
Can you please give me some links/guids which describes how to delete the delta queue in the source system, and restart the delta process.

Assuming as you need to the reinit for same selections.
in such case you need to delete old init.
how to delete init:
Go to your info pack screen, menu Scheduler--> initialization options for source system--> here you can see the existing init, select init(green) and delete it.
Later you can trigger your init info pack with selections.

How to repeat a delta - if Incorrect data records - green request

I have made a delta load and the Error handling in the info package is set as following: Valid records update, reporting possible (request green)
Unfortunately one info object is set to CHAR length 10 and conversion routine ALPHA.
Now when my delta is finished, I have a green light in monitor of my infocube where all the correct data is ready for reporting - thats fine.
The problem I also a green request where the data is marked incorrect - this request doesn't appear on the Cube, but only at PSA (there is no ODS between in our solution).
The data in the infoobject is fine, but due to the definition (CHAR-10, ALPHA) it is probably "just" missing the zero's.
My Question is:
1) Can i force this request up to the Cube?
2) I want to make a new infoobject without the ALPHA-conversion - but how can i then make a repeat delta load, when the previous request are green? Can I set the status to red and expect a repeat delta if I execute the infopackage again?
In the source system (RSA7) there is still data in "Repeat delta".
Hope somebody of You have tried this or have a solution...

I have loaded the historical records a week ago using full update. We are extracting only the delta records from the source system. If I do a full update again, I need to delete all the request received so far from the source system. So please let me know how to make it correct without performing a full update or else can I do load the records without deleting the mistaken records? If so what will happen if I loaded the records without deleting the mistaken records?

Initialize the delta load

I have question...
1. There is a ODS01 which feeds many data targets.
2. We created a ODS02 which also will be loaded by this ODS01. The update type would be DELTA.
3. We created a INFOCUBE01 which will be loaded by the ODS02. The update method would be FULL UPDATE.
4. The first time (later on i didnt get this msg) when i went to the infosource for the 8ODS02 and tried to create a infopakge to load the full update of the INFOCUBE01, i got a msg that " THERE IS NO ACTIVE DELTA INITIALIZATION FOR THIS DATASOURCE".
The details of the msg is:
Procedure
You have to initialize the delta load for a DataSource before you are able to load the delta data from it.
If you want to load deltas only for the purposes of testing, or you do not require any initialization data (because you have already uploaded it using a full upload, for example) use an initialization simulation.
This way, only the init. entries you require are made in the control tables of the source system, and a 'dummy' entry appears in the Monitor, setting the load status to green.
No data is in fact loaded, however, and the initialization takes only a few seconds to complete.
Does this mean i have initialize the delta load in the ODS02 or the INFOCUBE01.
How do i do that ?
(I actually did few full loads then i was informed that it would be a delta load from the ODS01 to ODS02,
within the infopkg for ODS02, I selected the Delta update next time, and did start immdtly, then check the monitor, it displays no records)
I'm little confused with this initialization, and in what cases would i do it.

I had partially tried this, I did a full load first in one infopackage, then created another infopackage trying to do a "Initialize delta process". I get a msg as following:

Repeat a DELTA from a DSO to InfoCube

I have a process chain that runs once a month, so it ran 2 days ago and loaded everything perfectly. One of the steps is a DELTA loads from a DSO to InfoCube. Today i transported some changes to the PROD system with changes to my Infocube (added 2 new infoobjects and to the modified the Update Rules to fill these new infoobjects). So now i have to wait a whole month to have a data in my new infoobjects.
The question is, is there a way to repeat the last DELTA from DSO to InfoCube so the DELTA would pass throuhg my new Update Rules and would fill the new infoobjects in my InfoCube.
I considered the option of deleting the needed request and then launch the Restructuring, but there no PSA, so if i delete the request i won't be able to recover it again.
Any thoughts?

1. If ur facing any problem while changing the statu of the request in CUBE, just delete the request from the cube .
2. Go to ODS and see data mart status is there are not, if still exists manually delete it( click on data mart status, it will open small window, click on DELETE button)
3. copy this ODS name
4. goto datasources in Modeling
5. search for the datasrc it shud be prefixed with ' 8 ' and ODSNAME.
6. Under that select Infopackage for delta update, trigger this Infopackage .
7. it will load to CUBE AND Datamart status also update.

I face the problem as follow: I do the delta update at before, but now I can not do the delta update successful(the monitor display the yellow light). I execute the bwa7, some datasource flag in the queue,is it cause the error? if not pls give the further the help.

I have an ODS-1 which has target cube1, cube2, cube3....One week back a new target has been added as ODS-2....All complete data from ODS1 has been piped into ODS 2..(Note.. ODS2 has many more inputs from other cubes/ODS too)
NO issues till now....
I found a data problem in ODS-1 which got loaded 15 days back..... I have removed all 15 requests from cube1, cube2 and cube3... Now I am trying to reset the delta in ODS1...
I am getting the following error....Infoprovide ODS2 still contains request... Delete this first....
Since ODS2 has many other data alongwith ODS1... If I try deleting request from ODS2,, I need to clean it totally and redo... I dont want to do this...
Is there any way to disconnect this delta link between ODS1 - ODS2..... So that I will reload the data in ODS1 and populate into all targets...

I dont think you can disconnect the link. just delete the requests originating from ODS1 in ODS2 and you can leave all other requests intact that are from other dataproviders and do a reinit.

If you are using Apple's Mail app 6.5 is the latest version irrespective of what a previous poster says. It does sound though that you are using a gmail account online via a web browser. Please confirm and fill in missing information.

Get back the Data mart status in ODS and activate the delta update.

I got a problem when deleting the requests in ODS.
actually there is Cube(1st level. it gets loaded from an ODS(2nd level). this gets loaded from 3 ODS'S( 3rd level). we were willing to delete recents requests from all the data tardets and reload from PSA. but while delting in the request in ODS(2nd level), it has displayed a window, showing as follows.
- the request 132185 already retrived by the data target BP4CLT612.
-Delta update in BP4CLT612 must be deactivated before deleting the request.
- Do you want to deactivate the delta update in data target BP4CLT612.
I have clicked on execute changes in the window. it has removed the data mart status for all the request which i have not deleted.
in the same it happened inthe 3 ODS's(3rd level).
I got clear that if we load further data from source system. it will load all the records from starting.
so to avoid this can any body help me how to reset the Data mart status and activate the delta update.

U have to make the requests RED in cube and back them out from cube,before u can go for request deletions from the base targets(from which cube gets data).
Then u have to reset data mart status for the requests in your 'L2 ODS' before u can delete requests from ODS.
Here I think u tried to delete without resetting data mart status which has upset the delta sequence.
To correct this..
To L2 ODS,do an init without data transfer from below 3 ODS's after removing init request from scheduler menu in init infopackage.
Do similar from L2 ODS to Cube.
then reconstruct the deleted request in ODS.It will not show the tick mark in ODS.Do delta load from ODS to Cube.

I have a iphone 3GS and it just started doing this. When I play my play list, it will keep repeating the same some over and over. I have to click the next song and it plays it over and over. It doesn't go through albums or song lists. How can I stop that?

By using 1 of the 2 ID's instead of both, choose one, move everything in the other one to the one you chose and stop using it.
