Repeated requests to "Sign In" to create a Ring Tone

In trying to create a ring tone in iTunes, I am asked to "Sign in to create ring tones from the iTunes store". I am already signed in, but I type in my password anyway. After clicking the "Sign In" button, I am asked again to sign in. iTunes never accepts my sign in request. I am typing the correct password and don't know what to do.
I went to a local Apple Store, but the "genius" could not help. He said it shouldn't do that and that I should send an eMail to iTunes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I had the same problem and fixed it. I did many things at once, so I am not sure what the correct step(s) was/were. Nevertheless, here they are:
1. Make sure you didn't purchase the song using a different iTunes account. I forgot about an older account that I had. Sign into that account and make sure all your credit card/email data is up to date.
2. De-authorize your computer, reboot the computer, and then restart iTunes and authorize the computer again.
3. Sign into your iTunes account, make sure the info is up to date and that you have agreed to the terms of service. (This seems to get reset when an old account is used and you have since upgraded to a newer iTunes program.)
4. Make sure that the songs you are trying to use were indeed purchased aand not your own ripped music.
Hope this helps.

  • Error message 11556 wehn trying to create a ring tone

Can anyone help me to sort this problem out? I am new to this and cannot create a ring tone from a song that i have purchased. I am logged in to the i tunes store, but i get an error message that says that i can't connect. Several others seem to have posted similar problems but i wondered how i can solve the message and create a ringtone.

    Hi
I have the exact same problem but have since found in the Itunes help section that you can only create ringtones with songs that have a bell next to them. None of my music has a bell next to it so have been onto Itunes store to seek out a song that has and cant find any.
Help option states to see tunes with a bell, click view, options then tick the ring tones option. This works with songs you have already downloaded but it reckons it works too for Itunes store but it doesnt.
Anyone know how you find out from Itunes store which songs can be created into ringtones?
    Thanks

  • Repeated Requests to "Sign in to the iTunes Store"

I haven't been able to log in to the iTunes store via desktop (Mac) for about two weeks now.
I can log in to iCloud and to web mail, as well as the iTunes store on my iPad and iPhone, without problem. I can also sign in to view my account in the desktop
and successfully make use of iTunes Match.
I cannot, however, make new purchases or download free items. I do not get an error message. I simply get the "Sign in to the iTunes Store" box over and over again each time I enter my (correct) password.
Since I can do all of the other stuff, it's clearly not a password problem. I reset my password anyway. No change.
This occurs on my computer as well as that of a co-worker -- so it's not my computer -- and my co-worker, on the same network, can sign in and make purchases, so it's not the network.
I wrote iTunes Store support but was directed to an article (this one http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368) that doesn't really address my situation.
Anyone else having this problem? Discovered a solution?
    Thanks,
    Byron C Mayes

    It's an issue with 11.0.3...
    Under investigation.

  • HT1550 can't create a ring tone .

the Advanced ->"create AAC version" menu is grayed out.    all the music I uploaded to iTunes using iMatch.  is this choice copyright protected. I tried several albums.    the technique was in Mac Life, october 2012, and in help file too.  :-(  what am I doing wrong.   Need ringtones for my new iPhone 5  !!!!!

Another likely scenario is that your ringtone is over 40 seconds long. That's the longest I've got a ringtone to be - and the file needs to be under 1MB. Otherwise it will show as being on your iPhone Ringtones list - but not selectable from within the iPhone itself.
Try adjusting the length of the file then exporting it to your Ringtones and over to the iPhone. hopefully you will manage.
Also, if you've got Audacity (which I've been using), there is a lengthy method to do this, but it works and still involves having up to 40 seconds and under 1MB.
Export file as mp3 > Open in iTunes > Convert mp3 file to AAC > Rename that file extension from .m4a to .m4r > Delete both the mp3 and .m4a from iTunes > Double click on the renamed .m4r file. It will open in iTunes and will have automatically been placed in your Ringtones Category.

  • How to easily create new ring tones & new alarms?

I was wondering how to easily make ringtones out of various songs?
I would also like to be able to make or download new alarms? The basic ones are kinda blah.
    Thanks.

It's pretty easy. Google "ehow iPhone ringtones" to learn how to make them on a PC. There are also website that will create ringtones for the iPhone. I believe audiko and iringer are two but I've never used either.

Alarms are not customizable. You can send feedback - http://apple.com/feedback.

.This happens whether or not I sign in to Creative Cloud before attempting to launch Lightroom.
My subscription is in good standing and Lightroom/ Photoshop are up to date. There are no earlier versions installed.

From what you report it appears that you have a trial version of Lightroom 5 perpetual license version installed. Subscribing to the Creative Cloud package PS CC and Lightroom will not activate this version. Try the following.
    1. Uninstall Lightroom using the OS system normal uninstall process. This will not affect your existing Catalog and user files and but will just remove the Lightroom Application.
    2. Reboot your computer.
    3. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Application Manager and it should give you the option to download the latest Lightroom 5 install package. Proceed to download and install this version and it should be activated automatically, no requirement to enter any license key like the Perpetual License version. It will automatically link to your existing Catalog files etc.

If you bought the machine new yourself, and did not enter a password when configuring it, leave the field blank.
If you bought it used, then you need to reset the password, as described here:

    Hey vcomfort6,
Please ensure that you are using Adobe Acrobat and not Reader to convert PDF file to word or excel.
Could you tell me whether it is a scanned document? Does this happen with all PDFs or any specific one?
Do you get any error message? What exactly happens when you try doing the same?
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Have continuous request to sign in to FaceTime on ipad model MC980LL/A without phone capacity. How can I clear this?

I am having a problem with a request to sign in to FaceTime although my Ipad does not have that capability. I can cancel the request, but it comes back almost immediately.  Suspect virus, but don"t know how to clear it.

One other thing to note with this newfangled iOS 8.3 and FaceTime. If you have both an iPad and an iPhone and someone calls you, your iPad might start ringing as well. And you can even answer on the iPad without touching the phone. Same happens if you have a Mac with the latest OS X Yosemite 10.10.3.
Cute novelty that might actually be useful for you. But that can cause unexpected battery drain and cellular charges*. And this happens even if you've turned FaceTime off. To control, visit Settings / FaceTime, turn it on if off and see the iPhone Cellular Calls toggle. Then you can turn FaceTime back off if you don't use it.
*Cellular charges: FaceTime is adamant about accomplishing the connection. If Wi-Fi is available, that will be preferred, but otherwise the cellular link will be used if that exists. And that can be a costly proposition. The OP won't have to worry about this.

  • Repeated requests on same HttpURLConnection

Is it possible to use the same HttpURLConnection to send similar repeated requests (parameters differing slightly based on the result of the previous request)? I end up getting a java.net.ProtocolException, so it seems like it's not possible.
If not, I understand that HTTP is inherently one-for-one in terms of requests and responses, but I would think the same connection could still be used. Any explanations out there concerning this?
The code I have works when I reestablish the connection every time, but I'd obviously like to not have to do it that way.
    Thanks,
    Ken

The reason you can't do this is because TCP (the upper half of TCP/IP, HTTP's transport protocol) is by definition a stateless protocol and therefore prohibits it. "Stateless" means that the connection only lives as long as necessary to transmit the request, process it, and return the response. That's why cookies are necessary to maintain user sessions in web applications.
To understand why this is necessary for the health of the Internet, imagine if every request to a web server left the connection open - the web server would soon get completely bogged down by open connections and crash! There is no way to guarantee that every client is going to close the connection, so it is better to enforce it at the protocol level.

Where are you resetting the password? On your computer, I assume since you cannot use the iPad?
Have you tried a reset to see if the popup will disappear?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button

  • Is any request number generates when i create a sap script??

    hi Gurus
I want to know Is any request number generates when i create a sap script??
if it is generates then how to find that request number???

    Hello,
A simple solution to find out the request number if thisis not released is, logon to SAP system with diffrent user ID other then the request owner's ID, a pop up message appears informing whether to create a new task under the xisting TR number.
If the TR i already released, then go to table E071 table and pass the object name. you can find all the related Tr's for the object.
