Repeated tabs coming under content admin

Hi Experts i have two issues:
1: For my id cotent admin role is showing reepeated tabs ie normallythere are 8 tabs but for y id i can see 16 tabs in total as all the tabs are repeted can any one help me in this.
2. The other isssue is if iam creating any portal object i.e ivews ,roles, worksets etc after creting its name is coming as name(changed ) and if i check in the informatin property the name is only as the name and this changed tag is not coming i needto resolve these two isssssues asap.
can any one please help me in this.

For your first issue.. may be you have copied a role and assigned both the roles to your own id.

Could not find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin Tab

Hello all,
I have installed 'Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 SP16 - Full Java Edition-Trial' from sdn.sap.com website. I am trying to learn EP development and started with EP100 (August 2002) document.
I couldn't find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin tab from where I can create channels and pages as described in the document. Am I following the wrong document or do I have to assign any additional roles to the user.
I have created a user with everyuser roles and super admin role. Do I have to add any other roles to this user to work with iViews and pages.
Please help me as I have struck at the very beginning.

User Admin tab coming twice

Hi ppl,
I am facing a wierd issue.
Along with Home, Content Admin, System Admin...
the User Admin tab is appearing twice..
Can anybody suggest me what might be wrong?

Can you Check the roles assigned to the user and post it here.
If both "super_admin_role" and "user_admin_role" roles are assigned, then remove the "user_admin_role". This might help.

Content admin - iview not in top level navigation bar

Using my Administrator ID.
Also Portal Admin -> channel assigment not in top level navigation bar.
What role am I missing?

Hi,
The short answer to your question is that you need to add the relevant iView(s) and change the applicable role or iView properties to display in the areas necessary.
Generally you require the super admin role to structure other admin roles to the different types of admin roles in your enterprise with a default installation.
You could for example determine that your content admin receive more than just the default iView(s) applicable to them, and that you want those iView(s) to display as tabs, or only in the detailed navigational areas. This is a matter of personal preference and thus SAP allows you to customize this as you see fit.

IView not able to create in content admin

I am using EP7.0 .In portal content admin I am not able to create iView, Page, WS, Role or Folder.
Once I am going the navigation path - content admin<portal content<end user content<ESS and right clicking it is not displaying any portal content option. It displaying open<open in new tab etc.How we can resolve this error? Log off option is also not responding in portal page. Please give the solution.

Looks like you might be accessing your portal with the IP address instead of FQDN.
EX: Instead of using http://10.10.1.10:50000/irj/portal use the FQDN like the one below.
http://abc.xyz.com:50000/irj/portal where abc.xyz.com is the fully qualified domain name.

u have to assign the one iview in User-Admin role
Goto->Contentadmin-> portal content->content provded by sap->Admin interface->iview template ->select proxy to remote role iview.
and this iview assign to user admin role the u can able to see.

Ok, Movies only in US.. that is fine.. BUT I only have Apps and Books to select. Where is my option to download my music again? I can see my purchases under my account but from the store trying to follow the described method - impossible!
I don't care about apps or books.. music.. I want my paid music. No wonder people pirate music?!

Repeat Tab

When selecting a tab in the tabpalette for "repeating" ("repeat tab" in submenu on the right of the palette) Illustrator (CS3) simply puts tabs all over the place (not repeating the original tab you selected - unlike INDESIGN which does it right!)

I don't recall CS2's behavior, but CS3 does not do it correctly. For example, I want center tabs every 32 points. I add one, manually, at 32 and click Repeat ... and Illustrator puts one at 42.67, 64, 85.33, and otherwise screws it all up.
Then I try manually adding one at 32 and 64, click Repeat, and Illustrator dutifully screws them up from 74.67 onward.
Sorry, I'm getting fed up with Adobe going all-out in new technology while ignoring some of the most basic of fixes and dropping support for older versions.

In Portal Content admin Role "Portal content" folder is not displaying

I created a user in EP and assign Only Content admin Role. But in portal content area "Portal content "folder is not displaying.
Can someone help me the process steps to achieve it?

It is because the user has no proper permissions to the porta content folder.
you should give atleast read permission to the portal content folder to the content_admin role or to the users who have content admin role.
also make sure the end user check box is checked at the time of giving permissions.
Otherwise give eevryone group as read permisisons to the portal content folder. then you can see the portal content folder with read permissiosn only.

Crystal Report Preview vs. SAP B1 Report Preview as a Layout under Content Type

Hello good day i'm trying to create a report that will be preview under A/R Invoice but the details need is under delivery module for example i create a serialize Item and set the Management Method on Every Transaction Under Item master data, so the transaction flow will be like this SO -> Delivery -> A/R Invoice. So under delivery transaction i will choose the serial that i will deliver so that under A/R Invoice Transaction i will no longer choose again the said serial that i choose on Delivery Transaction. There for on my Report i will Based on Delivery Transaction to get the chosen Serial But the Report will be Preview under A/R Invoice.
The main concern on This is why when i preview the said Report under Crystal Report the serial is showing but when i Import it on SAP B1 as a Layout under Content type it is no longer showing the serial on the preview?

How can I have multiple '''windows''' (''not ''tabs) with '''independent''' content?
I used to be able to open separate windows with Firefox, and the content could be completely different in each window. No matter what I did in any window, no OTHER window open at the time, nor any of the content therein, was affected. This is no longer the case and it is extremely frustrating for me.
I do ''not ''like tabs and do not use them. I prefer multiple windows plus I am so used to using them, for so many years now! But with v9.0.1 I suddenly can no longer do what I've always done with my browser without this aggravating problem constantly reminding me that I can't have what I want in firefox anymore.
Or can I? Does anyone have a solution I don't realize exists?

AppleScriptObjC can use pretty much everything in the Cocoa API, so yes, it is possible.
Note that a view is not the same as a window, and a window can have multiple views. There are also many ways to implement "tabs"; take a look at some of Apple's applications - they use various mixtures of toolbars, checkboxes, and radio buttons, for example. An application such as this will be a lot more involved than what you have done so far though, using custom classes and subclassing existing ones, so be prepared to do a lot of reading and researching.

Javascript error in Content Admin- Portal Content- iview Navigation window

Hi friends,
We are in the process of portal migration and as a part of this, we installed NW04 SPS 14 using Rapid Installer and then upgraded it to SPS 18. The components we upgraded are:
Java component
Portal Platform
Knowledge Management and Collaboration
Adobe Document Services
BI UDI
BI MMR
After upgradation, when we logged in to portal, we were not able to see/browse Portal pages/Roles/Iviews/Worksets (PCD Contents) under Content Administration->Portal Content.
Again, whichever window is there for navigation of PCD, we are not able to see the contents of PCD.For e.g. System Administration -> System Configuration.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
