Repeated "You have chosen to open: JuniperSetupClientInstaller.exe
I have just downloaded Firefox. When I first opened it, I got the dialog box "You have chosen to open: JuniperSetupClientInstaller.exe
At the question "Would you like to save this file?", I chose Save File.
So far so good ... except, every time I open Firefox I get exactly the same dialog box.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Sharon R.

i got this from firefox 3, i tried completely uninstalling it, and then reinstalling it
and the same thing happens in firefox 4, which i just uninstalled firefox 3 and did a clean install of firefox 4
it happens randomly and periodically, it seems each new session resets the warnings, and when i click on about 35% of the websites in my speeddial, it will load that warning and a blank tab, after i click the speeddial again, it will work for that site, for the rest of the session..
it seems completely random, sometimes its google.com, sometimes mozilla.com, it could really be anything..
it could be a website in my speeddial, but it also happens sometimes when typing from the address bar
i have done extensive spyware sweeps, and antivirus sweeps for anything out of the ordinary, and i even repaired Windows XP SP2, and then I even upgraded to Windows XP SP3, i have all the updates, etc..
I have 2 computers on this network, and they both do it.
its really driving me crazy.. i even thoght about wiping my entire hard drive and reinstalling XP, but i dont want to do that
i tried IE8, but i hated the lack of speedials and tab options
and I tried Opera but i hated the fact that there were no multiple speedial tabs
and im not fond of chrome or safari for similar reasons..
i've tried a few things i've found online, but nothing really applies to this problem
does anyone have any idea how to fix this so i can keep using firefox?

Hi Firefox
After I have finished downloading a file the Mozilla Download page appears.
I right click the download to open it and the 'You Have Chosen To Open' box appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen with the 'radio button' already selected to 'Open with..
All this so far is perfectly normal.
However if I click on the 'Browse' button to make a choice then the title at the top of the box, the closing 'cross' and the 'OK' button have all faded to grey and are inoperable.
Furthermore the whole Firefox page is frozen/crashed and can't be closed.
I have no further options than to restart the PC.
I have tried various suggestions I have found on your forums including deleting cookies, turning off the hardware accelerator, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 12.
I have looked at your 'Troubleshooting Information' and it does show a graphics driver problem. However my driver is the lastest nVidia driver for my GeForce FX5200 card and it has worked fine with firefox 12.
WebGL RendererBlocked for your graphics driver version. Try updating your graphics driver to version 257.21 or newer.
GPU Accelerated Windows0. Blocked for your graphics driver version. Try updating your graphics driver to version 257.21 or newer.
Here is the specification of my computer:
MSI K8N Neo motherboard (N1996 MS-7030 VER:1),
an AMD Athlon (tm) 64 processor 3200+ (Socket 754)
3GB of RAM.
It has at present a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card.
The system is running Windows XP Professional 32bit with SP3 and all drivers are up to date.
I have used Firefox for many years and would not use anyone else browser ever!
I have not had a problem until now. I do hope you can help me.
Kind Regards
ChrisDear mha007 Your brilliant! Now I have the correct terms it was the 'Opening' box that was freezing and it was the 'Choose Helper Application' that couldn't be accessed.
However I followed the instructions which I have cut n' pasted below and I am sure it was the 'renaming' of the rdf file that put things right.
Thank you very much I am very grateful. Kindest Regards Chris
'''''''Reset download actions for all file types
To reset how all file types are handled by Firefox back to default:
Open your profile folder:
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, go over to the Help menu (on Windows XP, click on the Help menu) and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
Under the Application Basics section, click on Open Containing Folder. A window with your profile files will open.
Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (File menu in Windows XP) and then click Exit.
Rename the mimeTypes.rdf file to mimeTypes.rdf.old .
Restart Firefox. ''''''' -

I have deleted the file in my downloads folder. I searched in the start button pop up for the name and deleted it from there also. I have searched online but found nothing relating to this. Does anyone know how to get rid of it. I'm hesitant to uninstall and reinstall the browser...You can check the value of the browser.newtab.url pref on the <b>about:config</b> page.
Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:

Keep getting a popup 'you have chose to open search' doesn't happen in ie
problem started after enlarging a product picture, since then I keep getting a popup every couple of minutes: you have chosen to open search which is a: application/json from google.co.uk. Saving/opening it does not stop it, scanned it with AVG and search and destroy both returned negative results. Happens in both the most recent versions of Firefox but not in Internet explorer (which I don't want to go back to) The file is 78kb
The popup has subtly changed a few minutes ago and now states: Opening s you have chosen to open s, the rest has stayed the sameFor me, it was FastestFox. The version I have is 4.7.4. Funny thing is it started out of nowhere. No recent updates of add-on or firefox itself.

<Email Edited by Host>They already have your number and/or email address and maybe have sold it several times already to others as well. They also use number generators - software that will automatically create them - some work and some don't, they don't care, they send out millions and a few will fall for it and send them money. The only way to "hide" would be to change both and your password, but then it would happen again at some point.

If you have many tabs open (in my case 30 tabs), you cannot click every single tab with your mouse, you can only reach them by opening the tab list at the right.
You can create a folder with the home pages by using "Bookmark All Tabs" to open a specific page.
You can place that folder on the bookmarks toolbar or use the Bookmarks menu button that you can find in the toolbar palette to get access to that folder easily.
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
* "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page. -
Why is it on the photo app is that when you add your photos to new albums and when you are deleting from camera roll it will delete photos from everywhere so therefore once your photos are in the albums you have chosen you cannot delete from camera roll
Your photos are actually all in the Camera Roll. The album you create only contain pointers to these pictures. Albums are like music playlists; when you delete a song from the playlist it doesn't delete the song from your music library. But when you delete a song from your music library it will also be deleted from any playlists that it may have been in as well.

Immediately see what versions of sites you have created upon opening your site in Muse
When you open one of your sites in Muse, you go right to the planning screen. My screen defaults to the DESKTOP view. I would love a way that we could see a quick section...maybe split the main screen into thirds from top to bottom where you can see a quick view of your DESKTOP version, your TABLET version and your PHONE version if you have all three created.
I thought of this just now because there was an important link on my client's website that needed changed. I made the change, and then minutes later, I remembered that I had recently also done a TABLET version for my client too and I had completely forgotten about it. So I went back in to Muse, clicked on the TABLET tab and changed the link there as well.
As it is now, the only way I can tell that I have done a different version is because the plus mark is gone before the word on the tab. Even changing the color of the tabs for the versions you HAVE created would maybe help jog someone's memory not to forget to update the other version as well.Or, how about this:
Does anyone know how to have Edge Animate objects that utilize "_top" in an open url trigger make the Muse site that they are a part of open a new window/tab with that action (as opposed to having it open the url in the current page, or using "_blank" in the trigger)? -
I always have 30+ tabs open. Used to be there were arrows on either side of the tab bar and you could navigate to the start or the end of your tabs. Now those arrows are missing and if you have a lot of tabs open you cannot navigate, you must close a tab in order to see other ones. Or click that group tab button thing to see which tabs you have open which is stupid. Is just mine faulty? or did this function just go away. Makes no sense to not be able to scroll through and see all the opened tabs.
hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Pop-up box opens every time I open Firefox. This does not happen with IE. I've tried uninstalling both Adobe and Firefox and when I re-installed Firefox, the pop up appeared again. When I chose to save the file, it downloads and installs it but then the pop up appears again the next time.
Sounds that you saved the Firefox 5.0.1 installer to the desktop in the past and that you click that program instead of the Firefox 6 shortcut on the desktop.
You can create a new Firefox desktop shortcut via a right-click on the Mozilla Firefox item in "Start menu > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox".
Right-click the Mozilla Firefox item and choose: Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
If the Mozilla Firefox entry in the Start menu is missing then you can use Windows Explorer to create a new folder structure and place a shortcut to the Firefox.exe program file in that folder

I've tried to do this several times on several days, on an HP a1620n running Windows XP Media Edition, Version 5.1. Nothing happens after I get the Download Complete message. Thanks.
Thank you! My solution was slightly different, but in the end, seeing what was going on in the Help menu in the browser did the trick. Turned out I had been stuck for who knows how long "downloading" a version 3! Also had a toolbar to disable but not the Ask.
