Repeatedly, this error code suddenly appears on the screen and I don't have a clue what it means or what to do: "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?
No Yes"
Hi,
Some "movies' are actually Flash files.
This means the Flash App will play them (possibly in a browser in some cases).
Depending where this item is and how it is playing it may be effected by other things
A web page can include javascript.
Apple uses javascript here to help with creating the posting box, the Edit options, Adding pics/smilies and the like.
Sometimes the javascript can be what is called a runaway process and gets sort of stuck in an endless loop.
If it is a free standing item then it might be triggered by AppleScript on the Mac. (or be modified in some way)
Again if the Script (normally written with a upper case S) is not perfect it can cause problems.

When I am in Safari, esp my hotmail account, I get the twirling rainbow circle

If it continues, to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort script?"
Not sure what to do.Just click No.

I cannot open my Ipad, maybe it got stacked up. The iMessage was accidentally opened and I don't have a password for it in order to open. I cannot even slide it to open. What shall I do?
Try resetting your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
I'm continually getting a "movie script error" in regards to
a looping interactive. The following message: "A script in this
movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it
continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you
wish to abort the script?" frustratingly comes up despite numerous
startups and taking off information from the server. It seemed to
occur slightly after uploading some content to the admin server
which delivers the info to flash upon rebooting. However this last
time it just cycles through a small portion frantically. How do I
find out where the problem is and fix it?
any clues?
thanks in advance, PatrickHi Patrick and welcome to our community
What product are you using? This is the forum for Adobe
RoboHelp. Your post seems to imply that you are using a Flash
output of some type. Is it FlashHelp? Or are you possibly dealing
with Adobe Captivate? Or maybe Flash itself?

PDF error A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly.
When opening a PDF of a website using Acrobat 9.0 Professional, I am recieiving the following notification.
A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, you computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?
The error does not occur when viewing the live website from which the PDF was made.
I recieve the same error when trying to open the PDF on other PCs using Adobe Reader 9.
I have updated the flash player on each of the PCs as well.
I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or insight regarding why I am recieving this notification.
Thank youI'm suddenly getting the same error message, on a variety of web sites. I'm running Windows Vista on a fairly high-end desktop, and I haven't added any new software lately. This just started up out of nowhere. When searching for this error message on the web, people are asking this same question all over the place, and no one has an answer. Does Adobe ever monitor these forums?

While browsing a variety of site, while running no movies at all, I receive the following message:"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?" I click "ok", error message disappears. minutes later, error message re-appears.
I've removed Adobe Flash, cleaned registry, rebooted, all to no avail.Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

" A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9...
In Safari I recently have been getting this message:
"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? Yes_No"
Safari and to some extent, Firefox, come to a halt.
What is this?Hello,
First, go here and make sure your Mac meets the minimum requirements;
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/systemreqs/
Second, make sure you have enough available drive space to access video on the net. Click once on your MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop. Then Command + I. That will prompt a Get Info window. Where it says: General click the black arrow so it points down. You will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you have a minimum of 15 to 20% free drive space. A utility that can tell you which files that are taking up the most space is: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21149
Also, read the following from the Apple Help/Safari Menu:
Resetting Safari
IMPORTANT: Resetting Safari removes all cookies, saved passwords, and saved AutoFill information, not just the ones saved during the current browsing session. Cookies saved by other applications may also be removed.
To reset:
Choose Safari > Reset Safari.
Deselect any items you don’t want to reset:
Clear history: Clears the stored addresses of webpages you’ve viewed.
Empty the cache: Clears the temporary location on your computer where Safari saves webpages you’ve viewed. The cache helps webpages load more quickly.
Clear the Downloads window: Clears the list of files you’ve downloaded from websites. Only the names are removed; the files themselves are still on your disk until you remove them.
Remove all cookies: Removes cookies that websites have stored on your computer.
Remove all website icons: Removes website icons, which are small graphics that help identify sites on the Internet. You see them in the Safari address bar and bookmarks list, and other places. These icons are stored on your computer.
Remove saved names and passwords: Removes user names and passwords, which Safari remembers for you when the AutoFill feature is turned on.
Remove other AutoFill form text: Removes some personal information, such as telephone numbers, used to automatically complete forms on webpages. Safari remembers this information for you when the AutoFill feature is turned on. Removing AutoFill information does not remove information from your address book.
Clear Google searches: Clears the Google search field of recent searches, which are normally saved in a list viewed by clicking the search field’s magnifying glass icon.
Close all Safari windows: If you don’t close all Safari windows, someone could use the Back and Forward buttons to view the webpages you’ve visited.
Click Reset.
Open windows are closed and a new window opens. The new window has a new history for the Back and Forward buttons and the SnapBack buttons.

"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly."
I'm so sick of this crap.
Clicking "no" does nothing, it just comes right back in a couple seconds. Clicking yes locks up my whole browsers. And either way I have to
shut the whole computer off and restart it. I am getting this on everything: facebook,
myspace, ebay, imdb, youtube and tons of other sites. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing to no avail. I am getting surfer rage from this and I've had it. I have been forced to
completely remove flash player all together and am now unable to watch or listen to pretty much anything because of this. Then the fact this website is slow as hell and takes me 30 minutes to just be able to post this, doesn't help my mood. You people need to get off your lazy ***** and fix this B.S.This seems to be a problem for everyone. A

Just "upgraded" to a new ipod touch 5th generation after previously using various ipod classics. So I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of the device. One thing that I have a problem with is the fact that there does not seem to be a simple way, while in shuffle mode to quickly move to the next song or back to the prior song. But forgetting that for a moment, here is my problem and I am trying to figure out if it is a bug or simply some kind of "feature" of the ipod touch that I don't get.
I am playing music...in song - shuffle mode. All of a sudden, instead of the particular song that is playing, a different album shows up on the screen. Meanwhile, the original song keeps playing. When this happens, sometimes that album then starts playing and sometimes I am able to move the ipod touch in various directions and I can get back to the song that I was originally playing. Any idea what is happening here and how to stop it?
Thanks for any help.Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.
~Remember, I am just giving an educated guess on limited information -
It freezes the screen for a minute then disappears, until later it repeats.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure. -
