Repeating a section of a song

Hi. Does Garageband have a function that will allow me set a particular section of the tracks to repeat over and over?

Audacity 1.2.5 is an audio editor in which you can assemble and edit your recordings: it's free. I don't think it would burn CDs - you would have to reimport the finished recording into iTunes and burn from there.
Amadeus Lite is $24.99 in the Mac App Store and is in my opinion a better product: it can burn your audio CD directly.
If this is a one-off job you might as well use Audacity: if you are planning on doing this sort of thing at all often you would probably be better off either with Amadeus Lite or Amadeus Pro ($59.99) though this latter may well be over-specified for you as it includes multi-track editing.

Music spontaneously starts, stops, stutters at random and I'm not even using that app. Repeated attempts to pause the song and close the app have no affect. Just keeps popping on and off randomly no matter what I'm doing at the time.

I tried double-clicking the Home button which brings up all of the active apps, touched and held the Music icon until all the icons started wiggling, tapped the Close icon in the upper left corner of the Music app to close the app completely, but the app is still open and still randomly stuttering. I did notice that the play button icon flashes in the upper right corner of the screen when this happens and it appears and disappears in concurrence with the Music app stuttering. When the music starts, the icon appears and when it stops, the icon disappears again. When the music stutters on and off, the icon appears and disappears rapidly and in sync with that random glitch. This just started today for no apparent reason. I turned the iPad off, waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. As soon as it was finished starting up, the same music glitch began again immediately. I'm using iOS 6.1.3.

Well, no one seems to have any answers or ideas for me, I'll update what I've been able to accomplish.
I reloaded all 14 disks in the time frame of watching Lord of the Rings on Fri. nite.
Funny thing is, the first disk pulled the info from the online store! Hooray!
Wait-then all the next 13 could find no information online...what the heck is up with that? So I MANUALLY assign each disk a new track # to co-inside with each disk, spent about 2 hours doing that.
But still, itunes tells me my playlist is too large, there's not enough space on the ipod. so I unchecked 1 1/2 disks (I'd listen to 1/2 of disk 1 previously) and voila! there's my ipod full of my book. Finally. But what a lot of bother just to keep things in order!

Forms - button to repeat a section/row

Hi All, This is the first time I've posted to the Adobe forum, so please forgive me if I sound like I have no idea - well, I don't really!
I need to create a form that has a table/section that we would like our reader to be able to click a button and it repeats the section. For example if it is to provide details of previously held jobs and I have a table with Date, Company Name, Role Title, Duties Held etc - we don't know how many previous jobs they have had, so it would be good to have one section and then a button and they can click it each time they need to add the details rather than having lots of tables that may or may not be used wasting space. Am I making sense?
I have the basic form set up (well I am refining it at the moment) and have seen in Livecycle that a row can be added and deleted, but I am on a Mac and can't see how they did it. I haven't had experience with 'events' or javascript so anything to explain it clearly would be wonderful. I've tried Googling for help but I don't think I'm using the correct wording to find useful results.

I do not think this is possible in Acrobat, but you can check in the Designer forum to see if it can be done using designer.

At least in my case (OS 10.7.5, iTunes 11.0.2) you can hide this (if I understand you correctly) by going to the iTunes menu bar, clicking View, then View Options. From the drop down menu make sure that Category (under Other) isn't selected. You'd have to do this for every playlist where you don't want "category" to appear.

Repeating multiple Sections within a form

Good Day All;
I have designed a project status report form for our section. The user is able to repeat rows and repeat a section when they want to add a new project. Both the rows and the section are contained in a single subform.
I have been asked if it would be possible to add a button that would work a wee bit different. It word break down something like this
I basically have 3 sections.
Section 1 Division. This contains 3 fields
Section 2 Project. This contains 3 fileds
Section 3 details     this contains 2 fields
Button1 the user would be able to repeat a row (Section 3). Adding items to a project.
Button2 the user would be able to add new Project, which would also contain section 3
Button3 the user would be able to add a new division, which would also contain section 2 and section 3.
I am thinking that that each section would have to be contained inside a subform set???
Please let me know if I have now gone off the deep end…. As well any suggestions would be great

Hi Chomp,
I am not sure subform sets are necessary if you define your subforms like this
Form
     -> Section1 ( subform)
          -> Section2 ( subform)
               -> Section3 ( subform)
i.e. section1 contains the subform section2 and section2 contains the section3 subform
each section would need to have the setting on the binding tab set to allow the subform to repeat
"Repeat Subform for each data item"
and then the buttons would have something like this on the click event
(assuming the buttons are included in their respective sections)
this.parent.instanceManager.addInstance (true);
// if you place the buttons elsewhere you will need to specifiy the correct path to the subform you wish to add.

Exporting a highlighted section of the song

Is there a way to highlight a certain section of a song then export just that part instead of the entire song?

If you create a playback region (loop region), the application exports just that portion of the project.

Cuttin a Section of a song

Am I able to cut out a section of a song that has explicit material using GarageBand? If so, how do I do it?

Drag the song onto a real instrument track in GarageBand and select the track., then find the explicit content by listeneing to the track. Position the crosshair at the location, where you want to cut your song and press ⌘T for "Edit > Split". After splitting the track at the beginningand end of the offensive part, select that region and delete it. Then join the track again by shifting the parts in the track.
This will work best, if you cut the track, where it is silent.

Is there anything special about your drop downs (lots of choices)? Are the drop downs part of the selection? You may need to select all of the fields in the section then add the drop downs to the selection by using control-click (command-click on Mac).

How do I isolate and save different sections of a song as separate files

I am trying to isolate and save different portions of a song as separate files. What is the easiest way to do this. I was thinking of copying and pasting into a new GB window, but cant find anything to open a new window. If a piece i want to save is highlighted in the editor, and I go save as, wouldn't that re-save the entire song again? I have tried highlighting and then dragging the portion to a directory in finder, but that doesn't work. Any other ideas suggestions?

Correct. This is the best way to achieve what you want:
Open your song, do a "Save as ..." with the name of the first section, delete all the parts that don't belong to it, and save again. Repeat this procedure (always starting with the complete song) for every section.

I cant click repeat or suffel while playing songs

the problem is with bb curbe 8530, when i play songs the media player stops after playing single song. i have to click next to play another one every time. there is a sign of repeat and may be suffel but unclickable. can any body please suggest any idea so that i can play song continously without hitting next button.

Obvious questions, but have you done a device reboot by pulling the battery? If not, try doing this reboot and see what happens.
If the reboot doesn't work, then you will have to reinstall your device software.
Backup your device before you do the reboot and follow the steps in KB11320.
Before any data is restored, test your media player. If you are still having difficulties, then contact your mobile carrier for further investigation.
