Repeating Events for the Fifth Week of the Month

Hello,
I am attempting to create a calendar schedule to distribute to members of my club. Each member is responsible for a certain day of the month (eg, every first monday).
iCal gives me the option to select every First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Last weekday of the month for repeating events. Did Apple forget that some months have five weeks in them, or am I really going to have to schedule events for the fifth week manually?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
iCal does not have this feature.
I tried playing around by scripting the addition of events with the correct rfc2445 recurrence string, but in iCal the events were placed in the first week of the following month on months with four weeks.
If you want this feature in the future, ask Apple for it.

This should be similar to behaviour in my response to this thread, but iCal seems a bit off on this one. If you attempt to set an event on the 5th Monday iCal adds events to the first Monday on the month after if the month only has four weeks. I'd say this is a bug in iCal.
Try the script below which should add an event to the 5th Monday only to see what I mean:
(Copy blue text into Script Editor (Applications > Applescript > Script Editor) , press Run and follow prompts.)

In repeating events , in the calendar app of Iphone or Ipad, How can I stipulate for egsample: "every second tuesday of the month " or even every last monday of every second month..
These selections work in the Google Calendar. but I cannot find the way to do it in the standard ipad or iphone calendar
all I can find to select are "Monthly , weekly , . I want to be able to select "day of the week " or "day of the month" Thanks ,

The iPhone/iPad version of iCal doesn't have this option, but the Mac desktop version does (assuming you use a Mac). Follow the directions below and then sync your device with your Mac and the repeating event will appear in your mobile device.
Open iCal on the desktop. Make a new event. Double click on the event and then click "edit." Change the repeat option to "Custom..." Select frequency as "monthly." Click the bottom radio button that says "on the" to enable you to set which day to repeat on. Close the event info window and then sync your device.
I hope they enable this option in the mobile software soon. It is a glaring omission for a calendar program.
P.S., sorry, I just noticed you didn't include a Mac in your hardware list. I don't know how you'd accomplish this with Windows. Maybe this post will help someone else, though.

How can I enter an event for the first Monday of every month?

I used to have a Custom choice that allowed me to select day or date for repeat. Where is it?

I don't believe there is such a custom repeat option with the iPhone's Calendar app, but if you are syncing calendar events with a supported calendar app on your computer or syncing calendar events over the air with an email account that supports it with an option to create such a custom repeating event with the online calendar, set up the custom repeating event there.

You can do this using the custom repeat in iCal. You'll need two events to cover the second and fourth Mondays.
Create the event on the second Monday of the month. In Repeat select Custom... > Frequency: Monthly > On the: second Monday.
Do the same for the Fourth Monday.

I installed this same digitizer in my T|X some weeks ago. Some discussion of my experience may be found in this Usenet posting and subsequent thread.
The stock digitizer in my T|X had always had some significant alignment issues (for which PowerDigi was able to compensate very nicely) and sensitivity which was uneven, but which usually required a heavier touch than I liked.
Eventually, it began to develop a “dead spot” near the upper left. My T|X was under warranty, so I probably ought to have sent it in to Palm to be repaired, but I wasn't willing to be without it for the required amount of time, and I've heard enough reports of other T|X owners getting unsatisfactory results this way. I'd heard enough good reports about the PDAPARTS.COm digitizer, that I decided that the only acceptable way to repair my T|X would be to install one of those.
After however many weeks it has been, I am still very pleased with the results. It continues to work flawlessly; it is much more sensitive, so it doesn't require nearly so heavy a touch, and I very much like the hard feel that it has, compared to the spongier feel of the stock digitizer.
My wife's T|X still has its stock digitizer, and it has so far not shown any of the same problems that mine did, or for which the T|X has become notorious, but the feel is noticeably inferior. She's content with it the way it is, but I think that if I were to ever buy another T|X for myself, I wouldn't wait for the stock digitizer to fail. The PDAPARTS.COM digitizer is simply superior in every imaginable way; and, in my opinion, a T|X with the PDAPARTS.COM digitizer installed is sufficiently superior to one with the stock digitizer (even if it isn't defective) to be very much worth the expense and trouble of installing it.

Event for the List Box in ALV Grid Control

Hello,
I have the below urgent requirment.
I have an ALV Grid Control built using ABAP Objects. In the grid, I have few fields and one of these fields is a List Box. Depending on the values selected, I need to enable or disable some fields. So, is there any event for the List box in ALV Grid Control.
For ex: I have 2 Fields, Designation and Commission. The designation field is a List Box field having 'Software Engineer' and 'Manager' as values. When I select 'Software Engineer', the commission field should be disabled. When I select 'Manager', the comission field should be enabled.

Display all calendar events for the day in notification centre

Hi there apple community,
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I can only see a couple events in notification centre. I was hoping there is a way to show all the events for the day in notification centre.

Disable or remoce the Calendar, that is creating these events, Terry.
To find out, which calendar is creating these events, ctrl-click on one of the events and select "Get Info".
In the Info panel click the color icon in the upper right corner to find out the calendar, that created this event.
Then reveal the "Calendars" Sidebar (press the "Calendars" button in the toolbar) and select the Calendar, ctrl-click it and delete the calendar or disable it.

Is there a way to setup a repeating event for every 5th Sunday?

I want to have a repeating event for every 5th Saturday, or 5th Sunday. Is there a way of doing that. I only see options for the first, second, third, forth, or last.

Click get into on the event you have created, click repeat, and then custom. You can then choose "weekly" every (5) weeks and which day of the week to repeat it on.

I don't know what I did, I went to copy an event at the end of August with the intention to move the time, and all of a sudden all my events from the end of August vanished. I quit iCal and restarted it, to get in month view the one bar at the bottom when all the events squish into one. I check september and dates appear to be pushed a week backwards but when I click on them they show proper data. I exited iCal again, and opened it, hoping a restart of the app would do something, but when I attempted to access August in month view at all it froze and would skip to September. In week view, it would freeze up two weeks into August.
Then September's data disappeared and began behaving the same as August. Events that were supposed to appear in both months were pushed into October, but the data was still correct. Halloween now appeared as November 31- my birthday was both August and September 25 when it should be in July. Independence Day is apparently Aug 8 now.
The events that skip around are all repeated events for short times (non all-day events) and all day events that are not repeated. Events that are not repeated but have span more than one day don't appear in any specific week but hover around their inception and completion dates on the line between the week above it. I can also note that the Day view works perfectly in both August and September, but transfering from Day to week appears as the Day view of events with the grid background of Week view. Month just doesn't load at all.
When I synced my iPhone 3g, all my data appeared and all views on the phone work perfectly.
I scanned my mac for any bugs, nothing appeared. I have even restarted the computer once. I'm using a macbook pro 13.3 in with Snow Leopard. Help?

You can delete the iCal plist file on your Desktop.
Go to iCal>Preferences...>General>...and uncheck "Show Birthdays calendar." The Birthdays calendar which remains displayed is probably the duplicate and can be deleted. Then recheck "Show Birthdays calendar."

Thanks so much for wading in. I did exactly what you suggested - glad you gave me the hint about how to access my library files. There was only one document that seemed to have anything to do with cache, and that was called Calendar Cache. (I've attached a screen capture of all the files incase I should have deleted something else as well.) I deleted Calendar Cache then restarted iCal, but after updating I was still unable to add new events.
Is there anything else you can suggest?

Re-run depreciation for the month after creating new asset

Hi Experts,
I have run depreciation for 01.2009. I then created an asset with start life and acquisition posting date as 01.01.2009.
In the asset's planned depreciation, the first planned depreciation period is 02. But the requirement is to re-run depreciation for the month and include the new asset in the run.
Is this possible? How?

When you have run the depreciation for period 01 and you create a new asset where the depreciation starts in period 01 you see that the planned depreciation (period 01 and 02) will be posted in period 02
It is possible to do the repeat run and then it will be posted in period 01, you will see this then back in period 01 as posted depreciation.
You can run this as test run and for only 1 asset!
