Repeating Lables on Report

Hi --
I am having a problem with labels on my report. I am plotting two metrics, Revenue and Total Revenue both by corporate division. The problem is when i drill into the report it repeates the corporate division on the x-axis (it is listed twice, once for each metric). So to show Operations Revenue and Total Revenue, the x-axis label says Operations,Operations. I want it to just say Operations.
Thoughts?

serial numbers assigned to fleet object of a equipment.
STO is linked with planned order.

Hi Every body,
I found a solution for this. this is all associated with status of fleet object assigned. for repeated objects status is EDEL extra. we resolved this by changing the status.

Repeated Colunm Name (Report 6i)

Dear all
I have design a report. Report query is given below:
Select User_Name, Loggon_date, Loggon_Time, Logoof_date, Loggoff_Time
from Log
where Loggon_date between :p_from_date and :p_to_date;
In report setting i set Group by User_Name.
Now when i run my report it show the result like this

create the query as described. In the data-,
model you will get one query-object (rounded box) and beneath it there will be one group object (rectangle). Now just drag&drop the username-column out of the group to a location between the query-object and the first group-object. You will get a second group containing the username.
Now in the layout you create two repeating frames, one for the user, on for the rest.

Repeated dyld errors reported in sh.crash.log -- how fix?

On trying to locate where my spare disk space on my boot drive had gone , I found ~user/Library/Logs/CrashReporter had a 274Mb sh.crash.log file...! This seems to entirely consist of repeated dyld error messages (see below). Can anyone suggest a culprit that might be causing this and/or fix for this?
This seems to only occur once in a long while and when it does, a lot of errors are reported. As such in a sense its more "for my interest" than urgent, but all the same something is afoot...!

What kind of script errors do you get?
You can try a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Highlighting field, if it's a repeat/duplicate throughout report

I want a field to highlight if it's an repeat/duplicate through out the report. I'm using =iif(Fields!PART_ID.Value =previous(Fields!PART_ID.Value), "yellow", "transparent") and currently it only works within a group section of the report.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

According to your description, you want to highlight an repeat/duplicate data for one field ([Group]) when the field isn’t a group section.
In your scenario, we can add a sorting based on [Group] field within the tablix. Then we can specify the BackgroundColor for [Group] field with pervious function. Please refer to steps below:
1. Open Tablix Properties, add a sorting based on [Group] field on Sorting page.
2. Open Text Box Properties for [Group] field, specify the fill color with expression below on Fill page:
=IIF(Fields!Group.Value=previous(Fields!Group.Value),"Red","Transparent")
3. Preview the report.

Group by - How to merge repeated values in reports?

Hello,
I am trying to build a report in OBIEE 10g using sum (AmountSold by CalendarYear) in one of the columns. The result is this:

What I really need is to "merge" together the repeated columns by year, so it looks like the following:

sum(amount_sold) -> Column properties-> column format->select suppress or default under value suppression
if default is selected then try to exchange the columns Sum(Amount_SOLD) and Amount_SOLD

Need dynamic or static lable for report

I need the lable for the date .Date is there on selection screen
Situation : In the report I want the lable for date . Currently we are usning the text variable to show the date but the problem is we want to show that date seperately below the title .
As user chainging the date from filter the date should change .

I understood that you want the date to be displayed according to the selection of the date from the variable screen. When u select a particular date from variable screen, it should get displayed in the output.
If i am right , it is possible in WAD. If you are using WAD, you need to write some java code in HTML tab. As it is just like dynamic selection, you need to do that.

Printing a Line at the end of a Repeating Frame in Reports 6/6i

Hi Folks,
In few of my designed reports I want a horizontal boiler plate line drawn at the end of the repeating frame on each page. The Number of Records property of the repeating frame is set to 0, i.e., depending upon the margin allocated on each page the report should fetch as many records as they can fit in the allocated area of the frame. I have also set the Page Protect property of the repeating frame to Yes, since we want the description of the records to be displayed fully on each page i.e., a record displayed last on a page should have its description on one page and it should not go to the next subsequent page. Now when I draw a horizontal boiler plate line at the end of the repeating frame in the Layout Model and set its property to Print on all Pages, the line in few pages of the report does not print at all and on the rest of the pages it is displayed at its correct position. I have even tried using an Anchor but it still does not work. Do I need to set the property of the anchor or am I missing some basic point here?

I have tried that but when the records are less in number on a page i.e., 1-2 then the line do prints on each page but there is a gap between the line and the last record.I want that the line should print right after the last record. Should I use an anchor here? But we cannot use an anchor between a line and the margin.
Any ideas??

Repeating Subtotals in Report

Hi All,
I am working on Financial report where I have the Level1, Level2, Level3, account and measure columns in the report. Report is in Pivot view with subtotals for level1, level2 and level3.
The level columns are hidden so only the account and measure is viewed in the report. However for a particular account due to ragged herarchy I have same value in the levels. So in the report for this particular account totals get repeated which is not desirable to the client.
Is there anyway that I can hide these repeating totals. I do not see anyway to configure the totals applied on columns. I appreciate your help.

Repeated crashing of Report Editor

Has anyone else encountered repeated crashing while changing
file tabs in the Report Editor? If I switch back and forth between
multiple files in the editor, it will crash around the 3rd or 4th
change. Has anyone else had (and hopefully solved) this
issue?

In my case I still have a problem with it but it isn't nearly
as bad as it was with CF MX7. I guess I really started noticing the
problem when I had a report open that had a few layers of embedded
subreports. My main report has about 6 different sub-sections and
each sub-section has a few subreports. It got to be such a problem
that I couldn't even work on the main report without it crashing as
soon as I tried to make any kind of change.
The way I "solved" the problem was to make dummy stubs of my
higher level sub-sections. So if I needed to make changes on the
main report, I would first change the name of the stubs to what the
sub-sections were called. That way the Report Builder doesn't have
to access all the sub-reports, it just grabs all the stubs, which
really made a difference in the crashes.
Other than that I just live with the crashing since Report
Builder only takes a couple seconds to load.

Repeat report pages for 'ALL' selection

On a report Im building Ive placed a dropdown list of selections that get used to filter out the data on the report. Someone who uses the report wants to select something that will generate (N) seperate reports as if they had selected each item in
the list and ran the report. In other words, instead of one big report...generate what appears to be all the separate reports based on the items in the dropdown list. Is there way to loop or repeat the whole report for each item in a list?

Based on my understanding, you want to display the separate reports on each page based on the selected values from parameters.
In Reporting Services, a list automatically provides a container, we can use a list to display grouped data with multiple views. For your requirement, we can embed the tablix in a list, then add page breaks for the list. Please refer to steps below:
1. Specify the group expressions for a list on General page like below:
2. On Page Breaks page, select “Between each instance of a group option”.3. Select the values from drop-down list
of parameters, then preview the report.

Required help ASAP...Repeating Reports Output

I have a table e.g. EMP which has folllowing columns:
Empno Ename Deptno Frequency
001 XYZ 10 5
002 FFF 20 4
003 POP 10 2
Now I need to develop a report so that based upon the value of
frequency the Record should be repeated in the Report i.e.
For employee 003 the same record should be printed Twice(As
frequency is 2).
One way is by Creating temporary table in Database and inserting
into it values through After-Parameter-Form trigger and then
fetching data from it.
But I need to do it without creating a Temporary table.
Please Help.

create table num (f1 number primary key);
populate it with numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,...
and then use the following query in
Data Model:
select a.* from EMP a, num b where b.f1<=a.frequency;

Repeat Count not correct in the SCOM "Alert" Report

Hi Team
I have an alert 'XYZ' for Server A in my SCOM that has a Repeat Count of 300. I can see that in "All Alerts" on the SCOM console.
But when I run the report "Alert" from under "Microsoft Generic Report Library" for this server A as object. I see that for alert 'XYZ' repeat count is just 1.
Is this a known Issue or Bug in SCOM reports.
Can someone please help me understand why this value is just 1 in SCOM report?

When we run "Alert" SCOM report, [dbo].Microsoft_SystemCenter_DataWarehouse_Report_Library_AlertReportDataGet] is the Stored Procedure that runs in background.
I analyzed this and found that Repeat Count of an Alert in this Report has a different meaning than the one in the Alert Properties.
In Reports, Repeat count is the number of alerts that have the same AlertProblemGUID.
Apparently, Each alert has its own AlertGUID and AlertProblemGUID.
Hence the Repeat Count in Reports is different.
Rarely for an alert its AlertGUID and AlertProblemGUID are same.

Print empty report

Can I somehow print an empty report, and specify with a parameter how many times it should be repeated?
The report is a form with checkboxes, and sometimes we want the empty one for someone to fill in when out on the field. And since this form is a subreport, we cant print the entire report over again, but need the subreport to be repeated, let's say five times.

Bind Variables and Shared Component Report Query

I have a query in a region report which I have replicated to a shared component report query.
Both queries reference page items as bind variables in the where clause.
The report region on screen shows the correct results but the report query shows "no data". This is the case when running "Test Query" and "Download XML data" from the shared component report query definition. If I hardcode the variable names I get rows returned, If I use bind variables - and specify the values for these variables I get no data. THe XML file contains the tags for each bind variable I have specified but has no data between the tags. I have Ticked the box to include application and session state but it appears that the bind variables are not being used.
When I use my report query in the application (URL tied to a button) I get the same problem, the binds are not being passed to the report query.
Can someone please clarify if this is a bug or not? And if not, how can I get it to work.

To confirm, yes I selected the bind variables. I used these in the report layout, but the xml file has them as empty i.e.
<P0_START_DATE><P0_START_DATE/> with nothing in between.
IN the Test Query section, if I put real values in the boxes for the bind variables, I get no data found. If I hardcode the values into the query, I get the data.
I've repeated the create report query many times and have created a report layout in RTF. I can use the layout with my region - in the print attributes and the layout works with the query but I need to create a PDF using 2 queries - ROWSET1 and ROWSET2. I can generate the XML but the values in the rows are all empty. When I use the layout with a report query instead of the region, I get no data even though I have used the same sql and have selected the bind variables. I was using variables from page items on page zero but have also tried using page items on the current page, the result is the same.
I need to use a report query and a report layout as I need data from 2 queries in the PDF.
I looked at your demo - what happens if you add a second sql query to the report query - is there any chance I can look at the back end (developer access?)
