 CauseSummary of Causes
This issue could be caused by the following:
The BlackBerry smartphone and/or the BlackBerry Desktop Manager have been configured to use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry® Desktop Redirector option.
The BlackBerry smartphone user is running the Enterprise Activation process on a BlackBerry smartphone that is set up only for the BlackBerry Internet Service.
 Resolution Summary of ResolutionsThe following are possible resolutions for this issue.Cause 1The BlackBerry smartphone and/or the BlackBerry Desktop Manager have been configured to use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector option.
Resolution
First, remove all of the Desktop service books from the BlackBerry smartphone.
From the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options.
Click Advanced Options.
Click Service Book.
In the service book list, select the Desktop [CMIME] service book.
Click the trackwheel/Menu button and select Delete from the menu.
In the service book list, select the Desktop [CICAL] service book.
Click the trackwheel/Menu button and select Delete from the menu.
Next, verify whether or not the BlackBerry Desktop Manager has been configured to use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector option by looking for the Email Settings icon or the Redirector Settings icon in BlackBerry Desktop Manager (see image below). This will only appear if the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or BlackBerry Desktop Redirector was chosen during installation.
If either the Email Settings or Redirector Settings icon is displayed, uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager or modify the configuration of BlackBerry Desktop Manager to support the BlackBerry Internet Service. For instructions on how to uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager, see KB02206. For instructions on how to modify the installation to support the BlackBerry Internet Service, see KB03179.
Note: If you choose to reinstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager, be sure to choose the BlackBerry Internet Service option when prompted during the installation process.
Cause 2The BlackBerry smartphone user is running Enterprise Activation on a BlackBerry smartphone that is set up only for the BlackBerry Internet Service.
Resolution
After 24 hours, the Enterprise Activation process will time out and the messages will stop. Hide the icon if it appears again on the BlackBerry smartphone.

    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

    My wife is having the same problems as a reciever. She works in a school as a teaching assistant and her teacher sends messages that are mixed with previous texts from ages ago.

  • Trying to Open PSE 9 and get Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error Message HELP please! :)

    Everything worked fine until I paid and downloaded a program called Rad Lab that works in Photoshop Elements.  I got that downloaded and then tried to open PSE and it won't open and I keep getting this error message.
    I've attached a screen shot of what the message is.  Also Adobe ran an update on my computer and it came up with an error message as well. Adobe Photoshope Elements 9.0.3. Update- "Patch cannot be applied. Please contact customer support"
    So I called customer support and the wait time is over 1 hour so here I am on this forum trying to get some answers! If anyone can help I would appreciate it so much!!!

  • ITunes help with syncing; many error messages, Help please!

    So, I have downloaded and re-downloaded the new iTunes 10.7 about a thousand times. Everytime I try to download, I get the message "rolling back" and then it starts up again and continues to download. Once downloaded, I plug my iPod touch 4th generation in and I get two pop-up messages: the first says "...mobile device is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation or contact your system administration or the software vendor for support." The next message I receive is "iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again." What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help? I would greatly appreciate it. I have been at this for about 4 hours and all I want to do is buy the new Red album and listen to it commuting to college.

    Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Mobile Device Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Mobile Device Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    Can you connect without the errors now?

If i save the number in my address book as normal...i.e 079 etc, when that number sends me a message it does NOT come up with a name just the number, BUT if i save the number in my address book as +44 when a text comes through the name WILL show but when the number rings the name wont, it just a number...does that make sense?! can anyone help me please...!

    I am not sure about the +44 stuff - someone with that experience will help ya on that one, but with my address book, I have to add the number then add a name then when they call, their name shows up.

    I have a T4-4 sparc server and the SO is Solaris 11...
    We have 2 Qlogic/Sun FcOE 10Gb cards
    Network is configured as follows:
    1. The two ethernets are aggregated
    2. Created Vlana dn have vlan id
    3. vswitch is presented to the guests as vsw0 and vsw1.
    After configuring the guest's network, guest can not reach the default gateway.
    Any help is appriciated. ( all the guests are Solaris 11)

    We'll need some data... Could you please post the output from the following commands (in the control domain):
    ldm -V
    ldm list
    ldm list -l
    ldm list-services
    And from both guest domains and the control domian, please issue:
    dladm show-phys
    dladm show-link
    ipadm show-if
    ipadm show-addr
    netstat -r
    ifconfig -a
    That will show the network configuration so we can see what's up. Also - did you plumb the vsw onto the physical interface? That was done with Solaris 10 control domains, but is no longer needed.

  • C7 - Problem with text messages - Help please!

    I have had my Nokia C7 since November and have not been able to use it! When I send a text message less than 160 characters I am charged between 2 and 3 times on my bill. The text message is being sent once and the recipient is receiving the text once. I have done everything that I have been asked by my provider from software upgrades to a brand new sim card to sending the phone off to be repaired to having a replacement but nothing works .. If I use my sim card in my old Nokia N79 then I don't have this problem. I recently tried a pay as you go sim card in the Nokia C7 and the same thing happened!
    Any suggestions please??

    Thanks for confirming .. Just so frustrating as getting no where with T Mobile. The technical person insisted that I had sent 3 text messages despite the fact that 1 was sent all because that is what was showing on his system! I had to go into the shop with a copy of my usage and the phone showing the text messages to prove only 1 text had been sent. They just don't seem to be able to resolve the issue. I just don't know what else to do. I haven't been able to use this new phone since November

    Messages cannot tell when people are Off line.
    On the basis that most will have linked iPhone Number and Apple ID it is less likely that they will show up as Off Line (Red) when you  try to iMessage them.
    If you are only trying iPhone Numbers they may well be out of reach, Switched off, In airplane mode or have run out of charge.

    I am trying to select the network tab in system preferences and a window pops out to tell me that
    '...network settings have been changed by another application.'
    when I click ok, the window pops back in again but then pops straight back out again and I don't know why and I can't get rid of it.

    In the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ folder delete the following:
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    NetworkInterfaces.plist
    preferences.plist
    com.apple.nat.plist
    You will have to re-configure all your network settings since deleting these files will cause them to be returned to defaults.

    A few sections after each other get repeated... depending where I put the repeat sign - another repeat sign previous placed - magically dissapears!
    How do I override whatever Logic is doing?

    Hi everyone, I have a 60 Gig video iPod, and my iTunes library is on my home computer. I have my iPod setup to manually update the songs. I like to plug my iPod into my work computer to charge it and also have iTunes play my music on my iPod. Now this works all fine with no problems until I log onto my work network. My network drives are mapped starting at Drive E, and when I am logged onto the network and then plug in my iPod, iTunes shows the iPod, but I can't access any of the music on it. Now, if I am not logged onto the network and plug in my iPod iTunes accesses my iPod just fine and I can use iTunes to play my iPod music.
    Does anyone know of a setting I can change in iTunes so that I can play my iPod music when I am logged into the network??

    OK, I just restarted my computer and hooked up my iPod before I logged onto the network. Itunes opened and showed my ipod and I can access the songs that are on my iPod and play them through iTunes. I opened up My Computer, and there isn't an extra drive. I double click the Network Drive and it is still labled as the network drive, and it opens and displays the folders that are on my ipod. Now when I log onto the network and then connect my iPod, iTunes opens up and shows the iPod with a "H:\" name, and i can't access anything on my iPod. I open up my computer, and it doesn't show another drive being connected to my computer. I check the hardware profile, and it has my iPod listed as being another drive connected to my computer and that it has no problems. I check the properties and it shows my iPod with the name and a drive letter of E:\.
    This is what is causing my problem. I don't know how to fix it. Other than changing the network mapping drive - which really isn't an option because of all the ini files I would have to change for the network programs I run on my machine.

    anymore. never have had a problem in the past, at least not one that couldn't be solved by a reset. I've traced the problem back to the AirPort Extreme, as I can connect via Ethernet cable from the wall. Once it gets to the AirPort Extreme, I cannot connect from any computer in my house. I can't connect from the direct ethernet connection to the Airport Extreme either.
    Yet I can see and access other computers in my house. So that would suggest that it's just some sort of problem with the AirPort Extreme sending out the signal???? I don't know. I looked at the Network settings and nothing seems to be changed there. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

    I have Cox cable internet, with a Webstar Modem distributing the ethernet hard connections through a Dynex 8 port ethernet switch. the problem starts to occur at the Airport Extreme. I cannot get wireless internet, or by doing a hard connection to my Airport Extreme. I plug right into the ethernet jack and I get connect just fine. BUT I can connect to every computer on my network, so the wireless network is working properly, it is just not allowing a connection to the internet. any advice?
