Repeating section issue

Hi Friends,
I'm using a repeating section containing a dropdown value.
I click on "Insert Item" and selecting an option. I click on "Insert Item" once again and if I select another option, the first item is also changing to selection I did second time.
Is there something that I'm missing?

In this 2010 form?
First of all, lists do not support repeating section or repeating tables. You can use these only in case of InfoPath form library.
If this is what you are using then, click on your Infopath form view, click on Repeating section from the Controls. Once added, click inside the repeating section and then select the text box or drop down field, which ever you want to fill using repeating
section.
Same applies to repeating tables as well, just gives you a tabular way to fill in the data.

  • Is possible to take the Infopath form with two repeat section in one SharePoint list

    Is possible to take the Infopath form  with two repeat section in one Sharepoint list
    Take two repeat section and put them one bellow to other one in a SP list.
    The motive is that the first repeat section is based in account own by the requestor and the second repeat section is when the requestor is doing backup time for some one else where need to log the amount of time that spend in the peer account.
    I have basic logic in the form when requestor said Are you doing backup for some else? and press YES it is be able to use the second repeat section.
     Le me know how much pain full is going tobe or not..
    –Q1: Is possible to do this ?  With codeless or not
    –Q2:What steps I need to do to accomplish this?  feasible or not

  • How to insert repeating section in InfoPath 2013?

    Hi
    I have customised SharePoint 2013 online list form using InfoPath 2013. I want to add two date fields in repeating section. But I am not able to convert general section to repeating section.
    Isn't it possible for SP list to use repeating section just for few fields?

    Hi Pratima,
    Per my knowledge, there is not a way to add repeating section when clicking ‘Customize form’ with InfoPath.
    As a workaround, you can create a blank form and customize the form based on your requirement, then submit the form into a SharePoint list.

  • Repeating Sections on Group By displayed as drop downs

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement to build an interactive report using the Web Layout Editor. We have a Repeating Section based on Group By to be displayed within the report. These are currently displayed as drop downs and currently it is not displaying all the sections in one go. Is there a setting which can display the same in an interactive setting - we tried "All"; but that just removes the section wise split within the report. It must be noted that this is an issue only within the interactive report, exported reports such as HTML, PDF, etc display the sections properly.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Concatenating data in a repeating section of a dynamic form.

    I am creating a dynamic XPD template, based on an XML file with a number of repeating sections. The issue that I am currently struggling with is the need to concatenate some fields and display them within a repeating section of the document. I can get repeating section to work and I can concatenate data and display it, but I am unable to do both at the same time.
    When I follow the JavaScript example of concatenating fields in the Dunning Notice XPD template, the data shows up in the repeating section, but it never changes - only the data from the first instance of the repeating section is displayed.
    In the example data below, I want daysArrears and level to display in the same field separated by a slash, such as 224/3
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <transaction xmlns:xfa="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-data/1.0/">

    <docDate>2005-06-06</docDate>
    <dueDate>2005-06-06</dueDate>
    <daysArrears>224</daysArrears>
    <level>3</level>
    <amount>12000.00</amount>
    </document>
    <document>
    <docNum>215000004</docNum>
    <docDate>2005-07-21</docDate>
    <dueDate>2005-09-10</dueDate>
    <daysArrears>128</daysArrears>
    <level>3</level>
    <amount>1500.65</amount>
    </document>
    <document>
    <docNum>228700002</docNum>
    <docDate>2005-10-19</docDate>
    <dueDate>2005-11-03</dueDate>
    <daysArrears>74</daysArrears>
    <level>3</level>
    <amount>12000.00</amount>
    </document>
    </transaction>
    How would I go about concatenating the data and displaying it correctly? An y help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi dradeke,
    Thanks for your reply, which is indeed useful as clearly Adobe have made this task easier and less obscure in CS4 by adding simple interface functionality, however I'm stuck with using CS3 for the moment.  Its not majorly a problem as the video material in question can be exported uncompressed then setup with cue points using the Flash encoder as an alternative (i.e. or even After FX CS3 also) which both provide the same features as Premiere CS4 seemingly. It is just that it would be much easier to be able to drop in simple markers whilst working with Premiere CS3, as this is what we are going to be using primarily, I just wondered if anyone knew how to invoke this in CS3 - its possible you can't, the documentation is vague at best!
    However I really appreciate your response and help, thanks

  • Change the size of a repeating section based on which optional sections are selected

    InfoPath 2010
    I've created a repeating section in a form that has 8 optional sections. All the optional sections are hidden until the user selects one from a drop down list, which only allows one selection per repeated section.
    My problem is that the repeating section is quite long to accommodate the 8 optional sections. Every time a user adds a section there is a long blank space in the form.
    Is there a way to scale the size of the repeating field to eliminate the excess blank space?

    Hi,
    Try to remove all the blank space from repeating section and choose the Height, Padding and Margin of the repeating section as auto.
    After that add table with 8 row and add your optional section in each row, do same thing for each optional section, remove blank space before adding any control and choose height, padding and margin as auto.
    I designed the same and it is not taking more than single line space until we select the value from dropdown list.
    If still it does not work, please share your design if you don’t mind we would be happy to help you

  • Sidebar stuck at bottom of page with last repeatable section--help

    I'm new to webpage creating. Here's my situation---I have a content section and then a sidebar on the right. The content section is repeatable. No matter what I do, the sidebar always aligns with the last repeatable section, meaning that it's often at the bottom of the page. The sidebar code looks like this---
            <div id="sidebar">
                <ul>
                        <h2>Primary Texts</h2>
                        <p><a href="primarytextsonline.html">Primary Texts Online</a></p>
                        <p><a href="manuscripts.html">Manuscript Resources</a></p>
                </ul>
            </div>
            <!-- end #sidebar -->
    In case it matters, the code right before this dealing with the repeatable content section is:
              <!-- TemplateEndEditable --></div>
            </div>
            <div class="post">
              <div class="entry">
                <div class="entry-bgtop">
                  <div class="entry-bgbtm"></div>
                </div>
              </div>
              </div>
            <div class="post"> </div>
            <div style="clear: both;"></div>
            </div>
        <!-- TemplateEndRepeat -->
    All I want is for my sidebar to appear at the top, in line with the first chunk of text/content and stay there.

  • Repeating key issue

    I just moved to the Mac a couple of months ago. I love it and haven't looked back. However, today, I used my Mac twice. First, this morning, I didn't do anything unusual. I cleared out my trash, browsed a bit on the Internet and answered e-mail. Then I modeled some artwork. I shutdown my machine, shutdown my cable modem & router and went to work. When I came back at lunch nothing was wrong and I hardly did anything (Internet still wasn't on).
    However when I came home after work, I started the machine up and the hard drive icon kept popping up and it was difficult to use the menu because I had to hold down the mouse button instead of just click. It turns out that the space key is repeating spontaniously. I thought it might be the keyboard but it doesn't stop when I unplug the keyboard.
    Has anyone had this before? How do I cure it? Thanks.

    Hi Redspark,
    Did you arrive at any solution to your repeating key issue? I've recently joined the discussions forum because I'm having a similar problem - without having typed anything, my backslash spontaneously inserts itself into any text box available and starts repeating itself across the page. In the Finder, I also get various folders spontaneously highlighting themselves, if I pull down a finder menu, it flashes which makes it almost impossible to select anything. As well I get sudden outbursts of the error chime.
    Have done an Archive and Install, reset the PMU. I've also zapped the PRAM, checked my RAM slots, checked Permissions, etc.
    Let me know if you've got any further insights.
    Thanks.

  • IS Possible to get information from GetUserProfileByName inside of repeat section

    IS  Possible to get the values from GetUserProfileByName inside of repeat section? by Codeless
     and then with this result used to filter DDL
    Or GetUserProfileByName  is only useful when it is used for FORM LOAD
    CRISTINA&amp;amp MICROSOFT Forum

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use the GetUserProfileByName service in InfoPath form.
    We can get information from GetUserProfileByName inside of repeating section, however you need to give the name of user so that the service can be used to get the details of the user.
    Please refer to the link below:
    http://thinketg.com/using-infopath-and-the-web-service-getuserprofilebyname/
    You can create rules to query for data using GetUserProfileByName, and it is not only useful for form load.
    Thanks,

  • 'repeat section' without copying certain tracks?

    hey peeps on the board,
    just wondering if it possible to use the 'repeat section' function without copying whole chunks of guitar tracks i have hidden? i mean, is there some way to deselect certain tracks so that i don't inadvertently end up editing audio regions on those same (in this case hidden) tracks?
    thankz ahead

    Hi
    The "Insert Section" function can do this
    (Toolbar or Edit:Cut/Inset Time:Splice (Insert snipped section at the Playhead).
    Step 1 Select using the Pointer, or Marquee tool, the bits that you do want to copy.
    Step 2 Copy to the clipboard (CMD C)
    Step 3 Set the amount of space you need using the Cycle Locators
    Step 4 Place the Playhead exactly where you want the clipboard contents to be placed.
    Step 5 Use the "Insert" function mentioned above.
    More often, it would be quicker to create some empty space, then copy over what you need, but the above function can be handy.

  • How to make a repeating section by clicking on a 'button'

    Hello,
    I am creating a form and there is a secion for 'Add a Dependent'.  The form only show enough fields for one dependent.  I have created a button that says 'Add a Dependent'. When the user clicks on this button I would like the section to show up again, asking for the information for the new dependent. Also, there will be a cancel button so that if they click on 'add a dependent' too many times, they can cancel each one individually if needed.The purpose for this is because it will take up much less space in the form. Can anyone help?
    Thank you in advance,
    Nik

    Here is what I did for making the Subform repeat..
    Selected the Dependants subform and went to the Binding tab, checked the cehckbox "Repeat Subform each Data Item"..
    Placed the below code in the click event of the Add Dependant button.
         Dependants.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
    Placed the below code in the Click event of the "X" button:
              if
    (this.parent.index>0)
              Registration.content.Dependants.instanceManager.removeInstance(this.parent.index);
    Placed the below code in the Initialize event of the "X" button:
         if(this.parent.index==0)
              this.presence = "hidden";
    Let me know if you have any issues..
    Thanks

    i created my iwebsite in '07.. i have a photo page with multiple sections of differnt series of photos.. i published with password.. and it was fine.. i updated iLife.. added some new photos series.. published again..
    then when i go to view.. it takes one photo series section.. and repeats that same one through out the whole page..
    anybody got any ideas or suggestions.. would be greatly appreciated!..

    You probably duplicated photo grid from photos page. Although photo grid duplication is allowed but only one photo grid is built per photos page.

  • Repeating subforms issue

    I am trying to add a repeating subform, but the page ends right after the first instance. So, when I preview and add another instance of the subform, most of the content is not getting displayed. Can anyone please help? I pasted this subform on a new page and it did, indeed, add new subforms. However, when the page ends, so does the ability to have more instances of the subform.
    A second issue is that the button to subtract added subforms does not show up when I add a new subform from the preview. I have checked the code. I used the buttons from the PurchaseOrder.xdp sample. Thanks for any hints!

    Thanks, Stephen!
    I do have my subform wrapped in a flowed parent subform and have the allow pagebreaks box checked. It just isn't working.
    I don't know how to fix that code. For the add button (which works), I have the following:
    form1.ConnectorInfo.FlowedSF.PropOptionsSF.Button2::click - (JavaScript, client)
    // Get the instance manager.
    var oManager = this.resolveNode("PropOptionsSF").instanceManager;
    // Invoke the Instance Manager to add one instance of the detail subform.
    var oNewInstance = oManager.addInstance(1);
    // Invoke the Instance Manager to insert the subform below the current one.
    var nIndexFrom = oNewInstance.index;
    var nIndexTo = this.parent.index + 1;
    oManager.moveInstance(nIndexFrom, nIndexTo);
    For the subtract button, which never appears, I have the following:
    form1.ConnectorInfo.FlowedSF.PropOptionsSF.Button1::click - (JavaScript, client)
    // Get the instance manager.
    var oManager = this.resolveNode("PropOptionsSF").instanceManager;
    // Invoke the Instance Manager to remove the current instance of the detail subform.
    this.resolveNode("PropOptionsSF").instanceManager.removeInstance(this.parent.index);
    See any obvious problems here?
    Thanks again!

  • Running a Media Query from MultiScreen Preview Head Section Issue

    Hello,
    I'm working on a dynamic web application from localhost that uses php/mysql. Aside from the dynamically-relate files bug error message (it appears even when the files are being included properly), the site is working fine in live view and navigates fine when I ctrl/command+click.
    When I click on "Multiscreen Preview" the site shows and navigates in Tablet, Phone, Desktop without issues - but all look the same when the site should look differently in Android and IOS browsers (we've tested on the hardware). However, when I click "Media Queries..." to run some queries, I recieve a dialogue that says "Your current document does not contain a head section. A head section is required to run this command." I cannot access Media Queries to further simulate an android or iOS browser environment (as the site is designed to look differently but looks the same in all multiscreen previews in DW).
    Thanks
    Jesse

    Thanks for your reply! I did set the resolution value, but, instead of the 'or' clause, I used two different links for the retina vs. mobile style sheets. That worked perfectly on several (actual, not simulated) devices on a site I had done for a previous client. However, I will try it using the 'or' clause. In fact, I copied the media queries for this new site from that earlier site. Multiscreen preview did not accurately reflect the iPhone Retina option from the drop-down menu for either site.
    Multiscreen for Smart Phone works most of the time, and I find that to be very helpful. However, if DW's multi-screen does not simulate the retina display, I wonder why Adobe included "iPhone Retina" in the Multiscreen drop-down menu at all. (I don't mean to criticize Adobe for it, but it does seem an odd choice to include a feature in a menu when the feature doesn't really work.)
    Anyway, thanks very much for your helpful reply.
