Repetitive task help - adding logo and bumpers to 50+ sequences
Is there any way to add graphic and video elements to multiple sequences, and then export? The only way I've been able to add logos and pre-roll and post-roll bumpers is by manually adding them to each sequence. I don't have Shake or any other expensive software (besides FCP), just automator, applescript, etc.
Please help. I don't want to get carpal tunnel.
I'm guessing the sequences are already cut...?
One solution would be to set up a sequence (template) with your pre/post bumpers and logo(s), then drag each sequence from the browser, into the template timeline, rename that sequence and put it in a dedicated folder in the browser for a Batch Export.
For the Batch Export select your dedicated bin in the browser, (or all the sequences in the browser you want to export if they're listed individually), then control-click on them and select 'batch export' (you can do this from the "File" menu as well.
Check the buttons at the bottom of the batch export interface for the settings/destinations you want.

Help with Logo and Banner (probably a really simple task)
This is most likely a very simple task...
I am new to DW -- I was asked to learn it by my employer.
Here's what I have done...
Created a container DIV
within container:
banner DIV
navigation DIV
left column DIV
Right Column DIV
Footer
An after thought was how I want to format the banner. I want to divide the banner div into a left and right column. Left side is the logo. Right side is the text.
Can someone lend me a hand or even offer a better solution?Within the banner container div either float the logo left or the content right. No need to do both.

This is all depending on the amount of text and where you need it. If you have a fixed size container and need things in a specific position, you could forget the float and absolutely position the elements within the parent (banner) container.

A word of advice though. Pick up Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar graphics editing program first and draw up a prototype of the design before you start coding things. Make sure this is 100% (or at least 75%) sure what they want before you spend the time coding something. You can ignore this comment if you already have completed this step, but I just thought I would throw it out there anyways. -
Need help adding avatar and signature to outgoing email messages
I am trying to put an avatar and signature on my email messages. The mail Help files tell me to go to Mail-preferences and click signatures. When I got to Mail- preferences I don't see any options for clicking signature-only account information, special preferences and advanced. Please advise. Thanks much.

When you are in Mail Preferences, from the menu, click on View, then select Show Toolbar. Then you will see the Signature panel. -
Added logos look pixelated and how to add a watermark?

I'm having a bit of trouble. i'm trying to add a watermark with one half of the logo covering the footage and the other half the black bar. Because I need to crop the video the logo (ofcourse) gets cut in half. When I try importing the entire file as a .MOV file and then add the logo I have alot of loss in quality. Trying it in After Effects didn't help either.
Also, adding the logos and text in Premiere as a .PNG file looks pixelated even though the file is of a very high resolution. How can I fix this/Jim,
Picture this...
You have 16:9 footage with really good stuff at the extreme right and the extreme left. SO you want to keep it that way. You also have 4:3 that you don't want to scale up. SO you use a 4:3 project. Now you have two choices. You can crop all of the 4:3 footage, or, when you get all done editing with both 16:9 and 4:3 you export the entire mixed clip as a 4:3 clip. Import that into Premiere Pro and crop the entire clip to look letterboxed. Now add a logo that happens to sit near the bottom right and some of it is over video, and some is over black letterbox.
Only none of this is relevant other than to explain that he has a problem with his logo in that it looks pixelated.
Solve the pixelation and the other explanation is not relevant. -
I tried updating my iPod 5th gen to iOS 8 but it only shows me a picture of the iTunes logo and a charger at the bottom, I'm not sure what this means or what I need to do. Can someone please help me?
After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I was trying to transfer itunes to my macpro from my iphone 4 and the phone froze up with the itunes logo and a usb cord looking like its suppose to plug into the itunes.. Now my phone wont go past that screen and i cant use the phone at all... Help if you can?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! I connected to itunes and it did restore from a backup but it is a major inconvenience. I am also searching for answers, but better back-up regularly!

I have a mac book pro with retina,I haven't turned it on in a couple of months.no problems then, now when I try to turn it on i only get apple logo and progress bar. After a few mins the laptop just turns off and nothing eles.any help would be appreciated thanks

i have a old powerbook g4 which i usally use to store some photos and to listen music. the battery of my powerbook is completly dead so i used to use my powerbook using charger adapter so whenever my power cuts down my laptop will be shutdown.

i had a third update showing on my iphone 4, i had already updated to the 07 and downloaded the second update to help fix bugs etc. the second update only took a few minutes unlike the first original update that took 4 1/2 hrs! when i saw the third updade i plugged in the phone, connected to wifi and hit update. it showed the apple sign and the bar underneath showing the progress. i left the phone to do its thing and when i went to get it about 1/2 later the phone had a itunes logo and and a picture of a charger showing. it would not do anything. it was frozen. i looked up online how to fix it. it told me to connect to itunes and then to restore. it would make sure that i could keep my contacts and pictures. the restore took 3 hrs, as it started at 78 min which actually took way longer, then when there was only 30 min left it stopped and went back to the "do you want to restore" question and i had to start all over. when it was finally done, i still have the itunes logo and its still frozen..please help!

Need help fast!- I suspect that he went to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. For 1G or 2G iPod that can take hours and it will likely stall out if not connected to a charging source.
Try the following:
- A reset.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- The connect to computer and try to restore via iTunes.
- Id something is still showing onthe screen, disconnect from computer/charging source and let the battery fully drain. After charging for an hour, Try the reset and restore.
- If you can turn the iPod off, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovey mode:

Blue screen of death? I just updated my MacBook Air with the latest OX (25 Jun 11). When I restart - I get the Apple logo and then a blue screen and nothing else. Help!!!
Insert the install disk and press c on startup. Select your langauge then, if there's a menubar click utilities then click Disk Utility. If you didn't see the menubar continue with the installer until you see it.
Once in disk utitly select the drive and repair permissions.
After the repair is done, quit the utiltiy.
You can try to reboot and see if it works if you reboot, but if it doesn't repeat the same as before again.
Now you can continue with the installer and install the os.
