I presently have a envy m6 laptop silver model.and I don't have the complete backlit keyboard...
Could someone help me buy backlit keyboard for my envy m6 ????

Hi,
Backlit keyboard alone won't work. You need all connectors for those lights, in short, you may need a new motherboard. What is the model of your machine ? m6 is a series of hundreds different models/products. Please use the folliwn way to find it out:

Reviewing the keyboards on page 64 of this guide, I don't see a backlit keyboard listed. It is very likely this particular unit doesn't support backlighted keyboards since none are listed.

Backlight keyboard For HP Envy 4T-1100

i just bought a new laptop HP Envy 4T-1100 and i wanna replace the keyboard to a backlight keyboard ,cant find anywahere to buy one and also i cant find a manual about this laptop on how to replace it ?
i found a keyboard of HP Envy 14 ,will this work with my HP Envy 4T-1100?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
In answer to your request, I am attaching the HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide. Within you can find the procedure for replacing the keyboard correctly, as well as as the part numbers for the supported, compatible keyboards. Check on page 59 of the manual for the list of replacement keyboards, and the replacement procedure.
Unfortunately, from the list, it does not appear that any of the options are backlit.

Satellite A500-17X: How to get new backlight keyboard to work?

Hi there
I recently had to replace the keyboard on my A500-17X (PSAR3E-00N005EN) and I decided to replace it with the backlit model of the same keyboard. The original keyboard wasn't backlit but I thought i'd give it a go anyway as it was the same price.
I installed it into my laptop and everything is working fine apart from the backlight function.
There was even a port for the power ribbon to go into so it is definately installed properly. I read on other forums that it is sometimes an issue with the BIOS or HWsetup but my BIOS doesn't give me the option for it and neither does HWsetup.
I was just wondering whether there is a way of getting the backlight to work on the keyboard.
Perhaps a different driver or changing the BIOS/HWsetup somehow?
Would appreciate any answers!

I believe there is no way to activate the backlight through drivers or BIOS settings. You may need to send the notebook to a Toshiba Repair center to get it activated.

The keyboard is listed as an optional service part so you should be able to replace it if you're handy. The Hardware Maintenance Manual includes instructions.
The keyboard FRU numbers are included in the FRU list. I beleive the one you're looking for is the 04X0115 but please double-check that.
It looks like it can be ordered here https://www-304.ibm.com/shop/europe/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/default/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=-376&storeId=376&langId=375&categoryId=3063814 . The Google may have other sources.
All that said, I've never done an unlit to lit keyboard swap. I believe that it is only necessary to do the swap without other mods, but haven't actually tried it.

Is it possible to change the keyboard on the laptop to a keyboard with a backlight.
I dont understand why this is not standard on a such expencive laptop.

Not all people like backlit keyboard and don't want to pay for this. I'm using few expensive/business laptops now and two of them don't have backlit keyboard (one HP - a bit old and one Lenovo - new), each has a light (yes a light) on the top of its screen. No available on its Service manual:

therefore I don't think you can replace the keyboard because no zif connector for lights on the motherboard.

My mac pro backlight keyboard

Dear team,
recently I face poblem with the backlight of keayboard.
the light not shining or lighting strong as before and some time its flashing go and come dont know why?
but If I blug the charge its become full light?

Wrong forum - this is for Mac Pro tower users who don't have the benefit of an Apple Backlighted Keyboard - I ended up picking up a Moshi Luna keyboard for $100 that does a great job of letting me work in the dark!
As for your Macbook Pro sounds like you need to go to the Apple store and schedule a keyboard replacement. Zapping PRAM and resetting your energy saving preferences might help, but it sounds like a wiring issue. Best of luck.

Its depending on the mainboard The mainboard must provide a second keyboard connector with illumination because the standard connector doesnt support backlight.
So you must remove the keyboard and check if the other keyboard is supported. If yes you can order a new keyboard from an authorized service provider with illumination and hopefully it will work.
Another guy has replaced the keyboard on Satellite A660 and this worked:

1 day old Retina MBP. Battery Icon disappeared,Backlight Keyboard is INOP, and CPU fan is on full all the time. Help!?

Just got my second replacement Retina Mac Book Pro last night for another unrelated issue. I used time machine back up to restore files. I used it last night to DJ for work. NO problems everything working as normal. This afternoon when I connected the new computer to my studio external monitor I noticed something strange, when I plugged in the charger, (1) the light on the charger never lit up. (2) The CPU fan came on at full blast (3) the battery Icon was missing (4) and I noticed that my backlight keyboard mysteriously stopped working.

Take it back and have the techs test it.

MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011 Backlight Keyboard Not Working?! Software Problem...

So my "MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011" backlight keyboard hasn't been working. I have tried LabTick today, doesn't fix anything. Even in high or low lighting situations (dispite the Adjust keyboard brightness in low light being off) doesn't like to go on. It doesn't give me a circle with a cross like it does with that box checked in day light. It shows on the screen the
16 dots fully light after hitting F6 fully, just it doesn't light up. I one time had to reset my Mac OS at the Apple Store, it fixed the problem, but when I restored with a time machine backup, it went back to this software problem. How can I fix this?! What is wrong with my OS? Mountain Lion? How can I fix this?!

If it does not detect the display automatically, try going to system preferences>displays, click detect displays.

I have searched high and low for a replacement Russian Keyboard for my US bought MBP. Anyone have any ideas. Apple US is no help. Apple Russia won't sell it to me.

It might be more than just a keyboard. You need to bring it somewhere to have the damage evaluated in person in order to obtain a proper estimate.

Last February I bought my first laptop from Currys Pc world. Once at home I noticed that the touchpad was faulty: lifted up on the upper left corner. I should have brought it back on the following day, but shame on me, I did not. Now I do not mind to pay for a new keyboard, and replace the old one to get the problem sorted out. but I do not know where or how to get it. I tried to open the link: Hp Support, Replacement parts, but this web page is not available. I sent an email to hp support and i have been told: "Based on the information provided you have purchased your unit from the Dixon's Store Group (DSG). The DSG have an agreement with HP, where they support the standard 12 month warranty on your product.
Because of this agreement with the DSG, your product is out of warranty with HP, therefore please contact your point of purchase for any support you may require". Now I do not feel to bring the laptop to Currys, because I tried to fix the touchpad and I have scratched the keyboard a bit.
Therefore, my friends be aware that when you buy an HP laptop from Currys Pc World, your product won't have any Hp warranty.
I went to Merchant Square in London to Hp Total Care Centre: but the shop has disappeared.
I will try over the phone.
(Probably it would have been the case to buy from a laptob brand that is also the laptop manufactorer)

Late 2011 MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.2) backlight keyboard not functioning properly?

I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and for some reason, the automatic backlight keyboard will not funtion as it should. When I have the "Adjust keyboard brightness in low light" option enabled in settings, and I turn on the lights, my backlight keyboard stays at full brightness. Then, when I turn off the keyboard, then the lights, the keyboard does not turn on! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure that this was a feature in the MBP lines.

Try a SMC reset. Shut down the computer. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time. Press the power button to turn on the computer. Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
