Replace Temporary License Key with permanent Key

Hi Folks,
I have installed BOBJ and installed SAP integration Key on VMW with temporary SAP Integration kit Key. Integration is working fine and all the roles are imported from SAP BI to BOBJ.
Now this Key has to expire after few days. I am to get permanent key for this SAP integration Kit.
How can I replace this old temp key with the new key?

Hi,
as mentioned above - for the server components >> BOE - you need to go to the Central Management console.
For the client components such as Crystal Reports or the SAP Integration Kit you need to use the License manager

Could not get the System ID (SID).
Can't install a temporary license key because the system ID is unknown.
I have changed the keydb.xml and changed the profiles for scs port from 3901 to a different one and still getting the same error.Any advice or suggestions?

Try couple of thing
1) DB is up or not
2) Port 39xx is free or not
Also you can Try to restart the installation after checking....I feels this is due to corrupted cache and something , may be waiting for other answer will help you.
Other wise re-installation you can try.

Business Objects Temporary License Keys no longer support OpenSQL

Hello All
Using a Temporary License Key I have been working on a demonstration for a potential customer showing how CR2008 can link to SAP. This has worked perfectly until today when I had to utilize a new Business Objects Temporary License Key. Now when trying to do a refresh I receive the following error message:
Database Connection Error: The license key does not include support of the OpenSQL driver.
Can anyone advise why this is changed and what I can do to be able to demonstrate CR2008 to SAP connection?

Temporary license key

Excuse when i do this in a non proper way but I've build a sandbox system and forgot to change the SID. And now the temp license is ended, but need this system for just another 5 weeks.
Is there a way to activate a seccond temporary license?

Not show anythings in tab License Key in Central Management Console

Dear All !
I have a DVD SAP Business Objects Edge Standard XI 3.1 include
BOE Standard XI 3.1 and Add on Sap_Integration, PeopleSoft_Integration, JDE_Integration and EBS_Integration
I have a temporary License Key Code which downloaded on Sap Market Place
the frist, i install BOE Standard XI 3.1 with a temporary key and when process finish, I login Central Management Console through web Tomcat below

I choose tab License Keys and I see a temporary license key
and then, I install Sap_Integration with a temporary key and when process finish, I login CMC through web Tomcat above, I choose tab License Key but not show anythings, just a blank page
And now, i want to upgrade with a permanent license but i can't because i don't see anything in tab License Key

I am trying to add a user via the CMC and receive the following error:
There was an error while writing data back to the server: Your license key is invalid or has expired. If you received a temporary license key by purchasing another BusinessObjects product, you must register BusinessObjects Enterprise to receive your permanent license key.
This is a new installation and I am trying to create my first user. I am brand new to Crystal Reports server and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

customercareamericas @ businessobjects.com (no spaces) should be able to assist you with acquiring a new keycode. Once received, remove the old one and enter in the new one. Please be sure to specify the product version you have deployed.

"Your license key is invalid or has expired" error (Purchased License)

Hello -
We have just installed CR Server XI R2 and have purchased a valid license. The installation accepted the license key during the install and also allowed me to register this license key at the end of the install and sent me my registration number. After finish the install and following the installation guides - all of the services come up in Central Configuration Manager - but when clicking the Enable/Disable Servers icon and trying to enable 1 or all of the servers there (final step in the install guide) I get the following:
Your license key is invalid or has expired. If you received a temporary license key by purchasin another BusinessObjects product, you must register BusinessObjectsEnterprise to receive your permanent license key.
Again, this is not a temp license, but a full Crystal Reports Server XI R2 5 Cal keycode, purchased through CDW.
When we were awaiting the full license to come, we attempted to install and run the trial version of CR Server XI R2 and continually received this same error with that install. I have removed the package completely and re-installed multiple times but each time get this same error at the final step.
Any help would be great, we've tried reaching out to the Customer Email Support for BO and phone number since Monday and finally yesterday we were told we had to come to this forum to get assistance.

I've get an error during migration to Hana db.
During Create ICM userstore phase I get and error, and the output of saplikey.log is:

I think there is a problem with the fact that the MSDN version is Pre-Pidded. Maybe there is a
registry setting that needs to be changed to remove the license and give you the ability to change the license key? Either way I think the best way to get your question answered at this point is to contact Microsoft Licensing at
http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx.
If you do get an answer from them that works, please post it. I'd like to know what they had to do.

1. Currently, the 'request keycode' process for external customers is to first logon to http://service.sap.com/licensekey. Look for the "Service Corner" and click on "Request license key".
If you have any problems with this process, please create a Customer Message in the SAP Support Portal using the following component: XX-SER-LIKEY-BOJ
2. During the BusinessObjects migration to SAP systems, if you experience difficulties requesting keys, keycode issues can still also be requested by completing the form at http://www.businessobjects.com/forms/email/license/
3. A PDF document containing temporary license keys can be downloaded at http://service.sap.com/licensekey
4. For any license key issues that cannot be resolved by these methods, please contact your Account Manager.

License Key Error: Invalid Key

I have an installation of BOE XI R2 which includes:
1-BusinessObjects Web Intelligence Starter Kit (8 user licenses)
2-BusinessObjects Enterprise Professional (for Query, Reporting, and Analysis) 12 users
So in total I have 20 users.
When I add BusinessObjects Web Intelligence BOE Professional Bundle 1 user ,
I get the following error:
There was an error while writing data back to the server: License Key Error: Invalid Key XXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX.

Temporary License for sap web as

our temporary license of pck webAS is outdated, I got the temporary license key from sap website. but I deleted the outdated license at first. now when I press the button "install subsequent temp license", there is a popup message. so I cannot proceed. how to fix this?

Licensing for ABAP stack you can use two ways
1) SLICENSE Transaction
2) saplicense.exe
Licensing for Java stack you have to apply it through visual admin.
For a WebAS ABAP + Java system applying the license to ABAP stack is suffice.

Replace one InDesign license key with another

I work for a software integration company that has helped a customer install InDesign CS 5.5 in a terminal server environment.
InDesign CS 5.5 was installed with a license key obtained from Adobe for X number of users.
Now the customer has obtained from Adobe a new license key for Y number of users.
I cannot find any information on this website or searching the wider web on how, exactly, to get this installation of InDesign CS 5.5 to run with the new license key instead of the old one.
Does anyone know how to do this?

As a practical matter, I don't think it matters too much. There's a certain amount of the "honor system" in volume licensing keys, and the real point is that you paid for the number of seats you are using. If the program doesn't complain about it, I would not spend too-too much time worrying about it.
It's not clear to me if your Y includes your X or not; that is, was X=100 and you added 200 seats and now X=100 and Y=200? Or X=100 and Y=300?
Volume licensing key activations aren't any different from regular license key activations, you can still uninstall (or deactivate, I believe) and install with a new key.
But your "terminal server" environment may complicate the situation if Y does not include X. You could have two seperate installs of ID, or you could have ID installed with either X or Y but not both.
