Replace the component after batch determination in the process order.

How we can replace component for which batch determination done with a new component in a process order. can any body suggest if its possible.

Hi,
i am not able to delete the component in the materials overview after the batch allocation done by batch determination rather giving batch manually.
i.e if i give batch directly in the batch field i can able to delete that entire component row, but if do batch determination for that component once its done i can't able to delete.

Batch determination issue in process order Material quantity calculation

Dear Gurus,
We are facing issue in auto batch determination in process order (Material quantity calculation ).
eg Material X is active material 200 KIA used in BOM as
10 X   200 KIA
20 Y   10           Filler
30 Z
40 X   200 KIA
50 Y
60 Z
We select line item 10 and 40 and do Batch determination system proposes 2 batches for line item 10 as Batch A and B
and for line 40 again Batch A (with 0.01 KIA) and batch B proposed which is wrong.
For line Item 10 Batch A and B
For line Item 40 Batch B and C or as per FIFO logic.
As Batch A should be consumed in Line item 10 then it proposed Batch B and so on....
We have already maintain data in COB1.
Can any body explain what is wrong in determination.

please open this prd order in change mode CO02 then press tab button cost calculation near release button in order header screen now do not save this order go to edit >log> cost calculation
There it will show the error tht occured during costing

Batch determination Problem in process orders

Dear Friends,
i am getting problem of BD for components in process order that the FIFO sequence is not
showing.
!. I have made settings like Strategy Plant/order type
2. Charecteristic in the class and sort rule LOBM_VFDAT
3. Class assigned to materials.
4. raw materials batches have maintained Ex.date, date of produced(at the time of GR by 561)
5. Order type i have assined search Proc.
in the order strategy info showing sort rule correctly in theprocess order, But the sequence it showing
is neither with GRn date or not with Exp date.
kindly guess what might be the problem...

Dear,
For FIFO you can use the Characteristic LOBM_LFDAT for FIFO if is LOBM_VFDAT then in plant storage data 1 view maintain the SELD then assign these Characteristic to class in CL02 then assign this calss to material master.
Then craete sort rule in CU70 withCharacteristic LOBM_LFDAT or LOBM_VFDAT
then assign it to serch strategy in MBC1 or COB1 with selction criatoria.
In OPL8 assign this serch procedure.
Then create the order and check the result.

Reg unit of measure at the time of batch determination

Dear all,
In the material master for the components base unit of measure is Kg and we have maintained L as unit of isuue and in material BOM and process order we have given component UOM as L, but at the time of batch determination we are getting qty in kGS,
Since in process order we have given UOM as L we should get it as L,
What is to be done to get it in L, please advice step by step

Hi,
At the time batch determination system will prapose qty in base unit of measure only. Yo ucan not change their as KG.
Only by time of issue you can use your alternate UOM i.e.L

I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
I have done following settings:
1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.

Menu Path :
SAP Menu ...logistics ... central functions ... select batch management ... select the batch... create (MSC1N)
Enter the material ---Comp1.5
Dialogue (internal number) accept the dialogue
Production date =
Shelf life u2013
Shelf life expiry date u2013
Available date u2013
Select the classification tab
Under value = .. save.
Not the batch number in status bar
Repeat this and create batch numbers
DEFINE THE CHARACTERISTICS
Selecting production date as the characteristics T.Code u2013 CT04
Characteristic u2013 ZPD
Description = production date
Data type= date format
Select multiple values (right side)
Save the characteristics

Create an order and check whether batch number is determined. Enter the customer and material now system will show the message in status bar that batch determination for line item 10 select the line item u2013 Select Sales u2013 A
System shows the batch number
Manual batch process Select the icon batch determination
If there is no batch with sufficient quantity scroll and select suitable batch and click copy button (top left) and proceed.
Now if the quantity from the 1stbatch has short fall select delivery proposal and back now select the line item and select the icon for batch determination or edit ... batch determination or control + F2
Now you can see the list of batches and available quantity. Find out batch which meets the requirements; remove the quantity form earlier selection and fillip for new selection and copy. Best Regards,venkataswamy

You assign the batch number either
Manually
Automatically, using internal batch number assignment, refer to Customizing for Batch Management under Internal batch number assignment.
Internal batch number assignment is activated for the complete client, unless you exempt individual plants or materials using a customer exit (see Configure customer exits for intern. batch number assignment in Customizing for Batch Management).
The R/3 System informs you that the internal batch number assignment is active. You are however only informed once per transaction, for example, when you enter the first item on the multiple-entry screen.

Is it possible to do batch determination for the subcontract purchase order componet, then bring the component batch to the outbound delivery directly from purchase order? If no standard, any user exit or BADI... can do this also good for us.

I think you can get Windows 7 for around $99. Install the 64bit version as the 32bit version will not be able to use all your new computer's ram if you have more than about 3.5gb.
