Replace the database?....with what?

Hi,
I'm looking for some advice with a program I've designed. At the moment it worx with a database - MS Access, but whenever someone wants to use the application they need to load the driver for the database. What would be the best way to totally get rid of the database? Could I use Vectors? If so, can I access the information as I would a database?
Any solutions would be very much appreciated.

The database can have several purposes:
1. The data in it continues to exist while your program is not running.
2. The data in it is organized into several tables with a well-defined structure.
3. You can run queries over one or more of those tables, select data, and rearrange it in various ways.
Now, if you don't need any of those things, then by all means don't use a database. Personally I don't see why loading a database driver is worth remarking on... what's the problem with that?

If the information is in iTunes on the computer you have synced with in the past another sync, being sure you select the items you want on the iphone, should copy those things back to the iPhone.

Well you definitely need to post more information here.
Looking at what you have posted, all that I can reply is
ORA-00603: ORACLE server session terminated by fatal error
Cause: An ORACLE server session is in an unrecoverable state.
Action: Login to ORACLE again so a new server session will be created

I am trying to boot the application server, but the operation fails with the error message:

As I said, despite the error message, I am able to log on to the database with sqlplus with user PS password PS.
Could someone please help me with this problem? Thanks.

I installed the database with the setup program and come to think of it, I don't think you can specify whether to create a system or demo database. So I probably didn't install a demo, which is what I wanted. I also ran the SQRs and everything showed the database was correct, so I thought I did it right.
If I could install a demo with the setup program, I would do that because I think I could run through it pretty quickly having done it once. I've read in this forum and other places that it's much better to install the db manually, so maybe I'll just do that.

   In the customised code call is there for the bapi function module 'BAPII_PO_CREATE'.
   Iam trying to replace the call with the code that calls function module 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1'.
   Please help me about what changes I needed to do in the code . As there is much mismatch in the import and export parameters
and tables in both the function modules.

you can use : BAPI =>    BAPI_PO_CREATE with suitable Document Type ( Stock trasnfert : STO )
IF u want to auto po must be created after each delivry in this case you need to use BADI
'MB_MIGO_BADI; In This BAPI There is method : POST_DOCUMENT
In this method u can write code for Auto PO Creation by using BAPI .

2 - Do you mean using other softwares based on folders rather than databases ?
3 - Or do you mean working with different catalogs ?
If you don't want to use the Organizer, it's not possible to 'delete' it, but it is simple not to use it.
Most other organizing solutions include the choice of selecting PSE editor as the external editor
There are various solutions depending on your platform : Windows, Mac, Linux...
It's important to know if you prefer the folders or database organization to suggest possible solutions.

INS0009: Unable to connect to the database with user SYS

Hi all,
I'm trying to create an OWB repository with OWB repository assistant (10.2.0.2.) on a 10.2.0.1. database (windows XP platform). I get the following error every time I fill in the connect info for the SYS user:
INS0009: Unable to connect to the database with user SYS. java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
I can connect to the database (sqlplus sys/<password>@orcl as sysdba) and the OS user is in the ora_dba group. Also checked the database parameters remote_login_passwordfile (= EXCLUSIVE) and O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY=TRUE.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Any help is appreciated.

Ok I found the problem myself, I used the wrong sys password :-(. I thought the password I used to logon in sqlplus was right (sqlplus sys/<password>@orcl as sysdba) but the password doesn't matter when you logon as sysdba! So I altered the password for the user sys and now I can continue the steps of the repository assistant.

now what is my question is I want to open the database with the user name with password.... y i need this because once i run the program the program should ask username and password to open database for write/read operation. if its wrong user name and password means program should be denied...

and one more things can tell wat to do in ODBC and MDB and in UDL for password lock.. each time i run the promgram it should ask password to acces the database..

Installing oracle application express from the database with oracle 11g

I installed oracle 11g release 1 and trying to install oracle APEX from the database with Embedded PL/SQL gateway. The installation guide require grant connect privilege to any host for the APEX_030200 database user, but this schema does not exist in the database...

Can I use the database with as the ses as a regular database?

I write a application base on SES recently, and I need to store some data in the database. Can I use the the database with ses?
I can login using sqlplus login the database using the same pc as the ses installed, but I cannot login using sqldeveloper on other pc.
I set ORACLE_HOME equals SES_HOME
ORACLE_SID as ses

I have similar requirement to connect to the database.
I have removed those two lines from sqlnet.ora.
However, when I using tnsping, I got below error
