Replaced audio jack, now the battery is dead?

Hello. Last week, I replaced the audio jack, because sound was just coming out of the left channel. Then, however, it wouldn't charge, even though it said it was. When I put my iPod in my docking station (iHome) or connect it to my computer, it just says "Please wait. Battery very low." (http://km.support.apple.com/library/APPLE/APPLECAREALLGEOS/HT1435/HT14356.gif) Maybe I did something wrong when I replaced the audio jack? I don't know, but help, please!

After you've tried everything Apple recommends, as I did, that is restart, restore, other cables/adapter/wall sockets and connecting to the usb hub of your computer, it is safe to assume that is either the battery or the connector itself.
If you are within the warranty, take it to an apple store or retailer, they will fix it...outside the warranty for a fee.
Personally, I changed the battery myself (not too hard - you can find a 'how to' video on you tube) The battery was €14. For the connector I went to a mobile phone repair shop that had the part and knowhow to replace it. Looked a bit too fiddly for my liking!
It took half an hour and cost me € 70, part and labour
The phone is as new.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You can only obtain warranty OR post warranty service in the country of original purchase
As your iPhone has user damage it has no warranty
IF the iPhone originated from Spain or another EU country you can get out of warranty service in any EU country

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If the same when using the included power adaptor, there may be a hardware problem with the battery. Make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

My Macbook Pro fell off my bed (approx. 3ft) and dented the left side of the front left corner on the battery meter. Besides the damage everything seemed okay for a little while until I kept getting a erratic curser track pad. I kept cleaning it thinking some dirty or oil may of got on it or in the edges, but long story short I found out my battery is swollen and thats the reason for the erratic curser. The drop and dent impacted the battery causing it to swell. I feel that I just need a new battery. I purchased my macbook from the apple store and still have applecare. However I've researched online a bit and saw some people posted that if you drop your macbook, Apple will void my coverage. I also read that when people have had a swollen battery and applecare, they just brought it into the Genius bar and they went to the back and brought them a new battery. I've been super nervous to go see them as I've spent the extra bucks on Applecare and did not get any use of it. If anyone has had this issue or knows about it, please let me know!!
