Replaced battery now my screen is white

need help

Have you tried restoring the iPod to factory defaults?
If you still have the probme then you either damaged something during the battery replacment or have a loose connection.

  • Uploading update software, now the screen is white on mac computer

I downloaded Mac OS X Snow Leopard on my desktop and computer restarted correctly. It then prompted me to update the printer software. There was an error. I continued and computer restarted and now the screen is white withe Apple emblem and circle continuously runs below. I have tried restarting the computer but this is the only screen that comes up. Please help!

Hold the shift key and reboot, that should get you in, uninstall the software.
Run Software update under the Apple Menu, reinstal the software and make sure it's 10.6.8 compatible, then reboot normally to test or repeat with shift key booting.

Have you tried rebooting the device? Hold down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. If this fails, connect it to a power source and try again holding them for at least 20 seconds.
    Restore
Turn off device – Hold down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red slider.
    Open iTunes on your computer.
Press and hold down the Home button First then connect the cable to the computer.
Release Home button when connect to itunes appears on device.
iTunes will prompt a message that says, iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Click OK.
You will be taken to the iPhone pane. Then, click on Restore.
Wait for the full restoration process to complete, Set up device “as new”.

  • Replace battery now

the computer is shutting down, but the help function says that I can still use the laptop.
    does anyone have similar experiences?

When the MBP says 'replace battery now' you really should tend to that.  You can use it with the power adapter alone, but the functions internally will be slowed down (until a new battery is installed).
    Ciao.

  • I accidentally restarted my i pod during an update and now the screen goes white what can i do to fix it ?

ipod stoped responding and the screen turns white blue and green

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My sister's iPod touch got water in it. Now the screen is white and won't turn on. It looks like there's water in the front camera and in the screen.

My sister's iPod Touch got water in it. The screen is white and it won't turn off. There's water in the camera and it looks like there's actually droplets in the screen. I tried plugging it into the computer but iTunes wouldn't respond to it. My sister tried putting the iPod in rice (some remedy she heard of) but that just made it worse...

Do not turn on or charge until dry. Dry by placing the iPod in a sealed container of uncooked rice for at least as week and change the rice daily. Then
    - Try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the article again.
    - If still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
It "got worse" since it takes some time for the water to have an effect. The iPod may or may not work after it is dry.

  • I dropped my ipod in the pool and put it in rice for three days and now the screen stays white. what is the cheapest way to fix my ipod?

i dropped my ipod in the pool and put it in rice for three days and the screen just stays white now. what is the cheapest way to fix thiss?

There are companies that specialize in data retrieval but it's costly (probably cheaper to buy a new iPod) and more than likely as Allan said, your circuits are probably damaged beyond all hope of retrieving anything. It's worth calling Apple you maybe able to get a discount or a refurbished iPod. Can't hurt to ask, Good luck. (And in the future... no texting in the john.) Sorry, couldn't resist it.

  • I dropped my ipod 2nd Generation, and now the screen turned white   there're many cracks in the screen. But im pretty sure the touchscreen still works. Is there any way my screen can work again? so that it isn't white? pls help

    Please help

I'm in no way an iPod technician - but I have the same model as you.  If you have cracks in the screen, I'm pretty sure you need to get the screen replaced.  You can see what's involved by looking here:
    http://www.rapidrepair.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=cp-ipodtouch2g
Unless you're already an electronic technician, you'd be better off having it repaired.
Having said that, you might compare the repair price with what a newer iPod Touch would cost you.  Here's just one sample page with pricing:
    http://www.amazon.com/iPod-Computers/b?ie=UTF8&node=13660271
If you buy a used one, it might be just a little more than the repair cost.
(.....strange - I just came here to the forum to ask a questioin about my own iPod 2nd gen device, which I might be replacing with a newer one....)

  • I have a MBP 15" from late 2007, right before the unibody.  The battery has just entered "Replace Battery Now" state after several months in "Replace Battery Soon".  Where can I purchase a replacement battery?

Everything on Amazon gets terrible reviews, and I'll bet they are in the same state already.  The machine still runs great, so I don't need to replace it for what I need.  Appreciate any direction on this.

  • Ipod screen is white and will not respond to buttons, nor will it reset. Help!

Can someone please help me?  My ipod touch 4th Gen. just froze as I was trying to view information on a Free Music Ap.. Now the screen is white and the buttons do not work, nor will it let me reset it.  I connected it to my computer, hoping that Itunes or Apple would cause it to reset but it is still unreponsive.  I can't even force it to turn off.  Can someone please help?!  Thanks in advance!

Let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
If not successful time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • My ipod nano was charged and now the screen is all white

my ipod nano was charged overnight,  now the front screen is all white  i cannot see anything(playlists etc)   i have reset it and the screen comes back on but only for a minute  then it goes right back to a white screen....    what is wrong with this and how do i fix it?

If none of the 5 R's of troubleshooting are able to solve the problem, the issue is hardware related, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced or replaced.  The LCD screen may have simply burned out or wore out over time.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/.
It wouldn't also hurt to the let iPod's battery full drain. Then charge the iPod back up and go through the 5 R's again.

  • My ipod wont charge. The screen flashed white yesterday and now it doesnt work

My ipod wont charge. It died yesterday and when i did the lock home button thing the screen flashed white. After that the dead signal wont even pop up now an suggestion. Its a ipod touch 4 generation, 36gb I tried charging it to my computer, wii,tv, wall plug NOTHING WORKS.!
    1. The lock button and home thing WONT WORK.

    Try:
    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
