Replaced digitizer and lcd screen now front camera freezes in virtual shutter mode

recently replaced digitizer/lcd screen now the front facing camera does not work ,freezes on virtual shutter screen and cannot swap from front to rear camera (rear camera works on facetime )

Either the front camera is damaged or the connection of the camera to the logic board is messed up. Take it apart and try to find/fix the problem

Liquid intrustion bewteen digitizer and LCD on Thinkpad Helix

I had a large diet soda dumped on me while I was riding the train to work, it got all over my laptop bag and I thought my helix was spared, I got most of the liquid off the bag and wiped the helix down the best I could at the time, I didn't see anything later that night when I got home. However a day or so later, I noticed what appeared to be some liquid trapped between the digitizer and LCD, 2 small bubbles in the corner of the screen. I could probably live with it, but I know me and this will drive me crazy knowing it is there. A friend suggested putting the helix tablet in a bag of dry white rice for a few days to see if that draws out the moisture. I guess my question is, what are my options if this doesn't work? Live with it, or replace the LCD and digitizer in one go? How difficult/expensive a proposition is this likely to be? I'm especially mad since I can't afford to replace the whole helix, to buy a similarly specced device is cost prohibitive, unless I buy refurb and even then I don't want to spend quite that much money.

I have a few helix screens like yours (for pen and finger) that I got from a recycler and I was told that they were good, but I generally only believe what I see myself, even though other screens for other models from this source have been good. I was looking for one with a bad screen to buy to let me test the screens, so I would be interested if you decide to sell. I hesitate to offer to sell you one of these because I cannot be sure about the condition and it still leaves me in need of one with a bad screen to test the others. If you look for a screen on eBay, make sure the one you get has 2 digitizers, one for finger and one for pen. Many helix models did not support pen input. Pen input requires a different motherboard, screen and cable. The screen you need is FRU 04x0374. Going through Lenovo might not be practical for you. Sounds like you'll have to take it in to the Apple store for service. This happened to my wife's iPhone and they just replaced it.

Bad news first and we hope for good news as well
The device is in Recovery Mode and the data has already been deleted, you need to restore the device with iTunes in order to get the iPhone back into a working state
When the iPhone is restored you can then restore it from your latest backup using iTunes or iCloud and regain some, if not all, of your data.
The good news part only happens if you had a backup.

Then that 'technician' needs to fix the motherboard problem, since you will not be able to get Apple to do any work on the device.

Could be due to many things. You could have damaged something during the screen replacement. I would take it to someone with more experience.

My iPod got wet, now front camera doesn't work

My iPod was in my pocket for a day when it was heavily raining like 2 months ago so I started checking if it was okay but it was wet so I wiped it and when I went on the camera the back camera was a bit weird but that went back to normal the same day, however my front camera is still broken. When I go to go on the front camera, the screen freezes and if I try to go on it through another app like snapchat or a photo editing app it either won't give me the option to do so or it will crash the app. Can this be fixed or do I have to just carry on with it not working?

The iPod has been water damaged...there is no way you can fix the problem. When it gets to be too annoying, or other functions fail, take it to an Apple store to get an out-of-warranty replacement. That will typically cost $99-249 in the US depending on the model and storage capacity.

Ive been looking on the forum but not found anything yet.
I have a line on my screen but only when i use the front camera for pics, skype and facetime. Back cam is good.
It will show on the pic if you take a pic so thinking the lens is busted a bit.
I bought it from comet who are now bust so wondering if There is a fix i can do, other than turn on and off, or if i have to visit an apple store as only bought 3 months ago.

Except I didn't buy it from an Apple store and the place I got it from has a "no questions asked" 14 day return policy. Here's a picture that I took. It's a bit harder to see with the screen glare but you can definitely see it.

Front Camera Freezing and Shutting Down

i have an iphone 4s and when i try to use the front camera the screen will freeze and turn blue after this it will turn black and switch me back to the rear camera. And if press on the screen for the camera to turn around again it turns black and goes back to the rear camera screen again.
ive tried resetting my phone and force quitting the app already

Restore as new, not from backup.

Sounds like the display got damaged. Connect an external display and see if that's OK. If that's OK then the display is probably damaged. You can try reseating the LVDS connector but if that doesn't help the connections on the display body are very difficult to get to. Apple would just replace the entire display and that's what I would do as well.
